hello :D I hope I'm not bothering with the question but how is bird kings behaviour toward their kids ? I mean are they strict or things like this
Youâre not bothering me at all!! If anything please spam me with ask I love answering them.
So I donât have a firm idea on everyone yet, so far this is these are the guys who I have an idea on. Plus a bonus of how their personal armies feel about the kids
-Strict but not as strict as youâd expect. He has rules and expectations for his twin daughters, but he doesnât drill them into them. Instead he trusts them to act maturely and so they do because their dad and all of his convocation is something theyâre quick to mimic after.
-Will not dress up with his daughters, but will help them make their outfits or do their hair however they want with no problem. He does like spoiling them with clothes they like mostly because he wants them to grow confident in themselves and who they are. And feeling good about yourself is important for that.
-He also teaches them to be quick with their tongue and how to charm people into doing what they want. He sees it as a big part of self defense. Of course he does teach how to fight, but he hopes that with their sharp tongues they wonât need to raise their claws.
-Makes it very clear though to the nobility of the empire his daughters are not on the table. So no arrange marriages. Anyone that his daughters bring to him as a potential partner are thoroughly vetted. By him, you, and his convocation. He will even have all of yâall vote to decide if said person is worthy or not. (Which is usually no)
-His convocation love your guys daughters! They lovingly call them their baby sisters. Arthur the captain of the convocation will insist that he can babysit them and you will need no other sitter. He doesnât trust others around his adorable baby sisters. He is very willing and ready to die for them.
-Externally he makes parenting look easy, internally heâs constantly panicking. Parenting doesnât come as naturally as heâd like and hope for at first. Though you wouldnât realize it unless youâre close with him.
-But he constantly tries his best and is grateful that he decided yâall need at least 3 years between eggs. Loves his kids so much but man theyâre exhausting. Though heâd drop everything in an instant if one of your children starts to cry.
-Unintentionally the most vicious person when anyone that isnât family comes close to your kids even his own Bevy are not free from his broody behavior. (Well until the kids are older) Has and will actively hiss at someone and chase them off. Just a giant raging goose/swan.
-Will send his bevy after anyone who makes his children feel bad about themselves. He tries to make sure your kids know just how lovely and wonderful they are every chance he gets. Your kids get quickly annoyed with their fatherâs snappiness.
-His bevy really wants to spend time with their new siblings but canât cause goose dad mode. Well everyone but Eros heâs grumpy because his father isnât spending time with them as much as he used to anymore. Anatidae tells him âOh my dear soldier, my captain of my bevy, I must remind you of something. We are of real blood nor have I chosen to claim you as kin even without said blood. With that in mind, I owe you nothing. And if the others of the bevy, my spouse, my brothers, my children, or any other reports you doing anything I donât like, you will be culled.â After that Eros puts in the effort of being nice to your kids and not glaring at them so he doesnât anger his father more.
-The grumpiest looking man with the grumpiest looking baby. He loves his daughter and will refuse to put her down. She sits on his shoulder as a little watch bird. Only one allowed to hold her is you, him, Diomedeidae, and maybe the rest of his brothers depending on whoâs not on his shit list currently.
-Your daughter ends up acting like a little guard bird with you. She will smack with all her baby might at anyone who tries flirting with you that isnât her dad. Which is rather hard thanks to her dadâs genes. And before you ask, yes he did teach her to do this, he has no shame about it.
-Doesnât do good with crying, unless itâs a problem he can fix right away. If itâs not something he can easily fix heâll hand her to you. Heâs not very good with emotions. Anger though he can handle that easily.
-Does tell your guy's daughter what his job is, but doesnât tell her the specifics besides him being an executioner for his brothers. He hasnât decided yet if he wants her following his footsteps or not.
-His watch feels nothing about your guyâs daughter, besides panic. Because if they fuck up and she gets hurt or even tears up theyâre dead. So they have pillows and so much safety stuff on them all the time. If she trips they toss a pillow right under her before she falls.
-So first off, no one besides his brothers, his personal flock, and a few hand chosen staff will know of his kidsâ existence. People are very weird when it comes to him since heâs seen as the most godly of his brothers, since heâs said to look the most like The Great Phoenix. So you and your kids donât really get to interact with people all that much out of safety, he says.
-Heâs very strict with your guyâs kids when it comes to rules about the public and things, but besides that heâs a very doting father. And will tear up if his kids start crying. Heâll wrap them in a big hug with his wings and arms and wipe their tears away.
-He likes taking them to the forest, mountains, really any place that has no people and letting them explore just as he had when he was a chick back on his home world. Plus that way they donât feel too cooped up indoors.
-His favorite moments are when all of your children are curled up on top of him and youâre asleep right next to him with some of them on you as well.
-His flock are already guard dogs already when it comes to Columbidae and you. With the kids itâs even worse. Those are their precious little siblings, their parentsâ pride and joy. Now the hard part is following their fatherâs clear instructions about not letting them near any town or city when their little siblings give them the biggest cutest puppy eyes theyâve ever seen as they ask if their dearest big brothers could take them into town.
-Overprotective, he teaches his kids self defense but will never want them fighting. He wants his kids to live a totally peaceful life. He lets his two daughters have more freedom than his son. Not because he wants his son to be his heir, nor expects more from him, or anything, but he wants to make sure his son grows into a kind and gentle man and not a violent one like him. So your son ends up being a bit more sheltered.
-Has a hard time saying no to them though (unless itâs for their safety), he had an awful childhood so he wants to give them everything he never had. Will let his kids climb on him, play with his hair, and even paint on his armor.
-He may not give away many emotions with his body language besides anger, but the three chicks you two have can read him like a book..
-Also for the duration of the pregnancy no one is allowed close to the two of you at all. And many will die if they donât take the 20 meter radius seriously. Doesnât matter whoâs pregnant, heâs not leaving your side at all.
-His troop are unintentionally some of the best people you can leave your kids with. Will it ever happen? No, Casuariidae doesnât trust them with his chicks. The reason they are the best is because Casuariidae kills any of his men that are cruel for crueltyâs sake so his troop are all very well behaved and are honestly quite emotionally sensitive in private. His troop are like shadows for your children making sure theyâre ok but never getting close to avoid Casuariidaeâs wrath. If you kids spot them and try to get close they will run. Which is honestly funny to see these huge soldiers running away from three small kids.
Crovidae (2 kids or 5 depending on if you want more or not after your first clutch of eggs)
-Theyâre his little shadows, and love hiding in his fluffy wings. He doesnât stop them, in fact he prefers this. It means theyâre safe and hidden from everyone besides you. Because youâre also tucked in his wings.
-Growls at anyone who tries to points out his little family in his wings. Also if his kids are out of his wings and someone tries to get close to them the person is instantly getting swooped at and crushed by Crovidae. He doesnât have mercy at anyone getting too close to his kids for his liking.
-Doesnât let your guyâs kids put make up or any type of hair/feather chalk on him. A lot of his job requires being hidden and stealth so heâs very used to having nothing on him to the point products on him like make up make him feel weird. This is how he learns heâs actually minorly allergic to it.
-Has an internal panic attack every time one of your kids disappear in the shadows. Has his murder search everywhere for them on the down low, because if thereâs one thing he truly fears itâs your wrath.
-His murder or really his three favorite soldiers Edgar, DantĂŠs, and Fortunato have been assigned to permanent babysitting duty. They already are assigned to watch over you when Corvidae has to go on a mission so it only makes sense they watch over your kids as well. Fortunato has everything permanently baby proofed even well into your kids' teen years. DantĂŠs who had no real attachment to you at first gains one after the kids are born. You gifted his father with the most beautiful gifts in the world and gave him some wonderful siblings. He calls you his parent/father/mother one day in passing and it almost makes you cry. Edgar loves giving the kids shiny things he found, itâs healthy for them to horde things in his words.
Spheniscidae & Aptenodytes (6 kids they each have three)
-You donât know who's worse, your husbands or your kids with all the mischief they get up to. With your kids itâs just regular kid mischief at least and not âhey weâre running this random guyâs because he looked at you funny.â
-Your kids can tell their dads apart as easily as you can. But the two of them struggled so hard when your kids were babies. You guys had to put them in different colored outfits to help identify them till their feathers grew in. Sometimes the twins accidentally call one of your kids the wrong name and kick themselves up about it.
-Spheniscidae is the more anxious out of the two. Heâs constantly trying to make sure the kids get into fun mischief and nothing that could harm them even if itâs a simple cut on a leg from tripping.
-Aptenodytes has a color coded day planner to make sure all the kids get enough time with each parent. There will be no cutting in any line unless itâs an emergency.
-Their waddle are more like uncles than siblings. They help out here and there but they donât hover unless necessary. If the kids are doing something mischievous and Spheniscidae or Aptenodytes ask where they are their waddle says nothing, but if you ask they rat out your kids so fast.
