UGH the urge to write a doctor reader with like some trauma of their own and compartmentalizes their life. They don’t really tell what profession they are in so the bots don’t know what they actually do until Fowler finds out about them and realizes that they treated him. I want to write them sassy, kind and open minded. Also, I’m scared of writing of it for two different reasons. One because time commitment and two might get too self inserted. Though if I do start this, I will write the self insert bits just won’t publish them. But disclaimer, this would be a bit self indulgent.
Wait if we were under the assumption that TFP happened in 2012, then the Autobots would learn so much about human sports. You know why? It’s because both the Workd Cup AND Summer Olympics were happening then. Like they would be blown away by how flexible humans would be in gymnastics and the pentalathon. Some would be bewildered by like the shooting event and archery. Shocked at the swimming because they can’t swim and sailing. WHY THE HELL DO HUMANS HAVE A SPORT ON JUMPING OFF TALL LEDGES (diving)?!? Then they would pick up on the rules of football when the World Cup comes around. Then they get to see the spirit of the humans when cheering for their country. The drip, the snacks and like the cheering. They find out about betting and wonder why they put such high bets.
Imagine a world of cybertronians being out and like incorporated into society along with humans. What if a cybertronian dates a famous person? Like a famous enough person to get edits of and don’t you think they would lowkey go insane. Some of the more possessive bots would be mad but all of them love how good their human looks. Oh some of the comments are insane under TikTok.
AND FAN ARTS AND STORIES TOO??!
Would get them going or have them be emotional. Or be absolutely shocked.
Imagine if it’s a cybertronian that came recently to Earth too and they were learning how to use the internet.
Things About Humans that Intrigue/Freak Out Cybertronians
(I have so much delight in thinking of this).

How we can bounce back. The Ice Age was one of the most vicious times to live in. Back 800-900,000 years ago, almost 99% of the human population and about 1300 humans were left. The temperature at its peak back in the Ice Age was 46 degrees Fahrenheit (8 degrees Celsius). The average temperature was 11°F (6°C). This is the average of the arctic (where Arcee and Optimus were stuck in for a few hours and ALMOST DIED) is at now. Average Arctic temp: 2 to -6° C (0 to 20° F). Ok there's a whole thing about cybertronians having EM fields and let's think of humans not having EM fields. I want to imagine humans not having EM fields because it gives an advantage over these gigantic sentient beings. The advantage is the ability to lie.
I think it would be much harder to lie with EM fields because while their words say one thing, they can't control their EM fields. The other bot can feel the guards kept in by the other's EM field. They also have body language to worry about it. I saw some posts talking about humans who are really guarded but good at putting on a show and how some of the friendlier bots don't understand why their field is pushing them back. Now, if humans didn't have EM fields, the bots would be so much more weary of humans because they can't rely on EM fields and no EM fields is what happens when a bot dies.
For masterclass cybertronian liars, they have to learn how to contain their EM field which is already a challenge and trying to manipulate it too?!? Then body language later and tone.
Now masterclass human liars? They can craft whole new identities and switch like no problem. They can gaslight pretty well and then of course white lies. And we have lie detectors but they ain't good because it's just human's sympathetic nervous system messing with it. AND we can lie in it. We literally make jobs out of it like acting and going into politics.
Decepticons got nothing on human deception HAHA. That's why they got to focus on disarming like how Makeshift was trying to kiss Ratchet's ass and misdirection like how Optimus did it but he was far away.

So there's a concept in puppetry called secondary movement. It's the reason why so many muppets have bits of longer fur and its demonstrated really well on big bird and animal. The idea is that material that moves and sways outside of the direct movements of the puppeteer helps sell the illusion and make them seem more alive. You can see it in miss piggy flipping her hair over her shoulder or how animal's... fur i guess bobs and sways as he moves his head. The more movement you can get out of a puppet the more alive it feels, generally, and this is an easy and effective way to do that.
So with that in mind- consider how humans must look to cybertronians.
They don't have hair that blows in the wind or skirts that twirl when they spin. They're all hard metal. Humans must seem so full of movement comparatively. The way our clothes shift at the slightest movements helping to exaggerate every motion to the bots. Imagine they're driving somewhere fast and you stick your head out the window and they see your hair being blown around like crazy for the first time I bet they'd loose their minds
Oooo yessss. I wanna add some more points on this that would add to a human's motions.
Speaking of windy days, imagine loose clothing on a windy day. Like think of the billowing skirt of Marilyn Monroe. The way our clothes would be hitting our bodies.
JEWELRY! Like the hanging type of earrings would move with us, the dangly necklaces and the anklets. Some anklets have lil bells in them and they clink whenever you walk. OH also when a person wears a ton of bracelets. Like I’m thinking stacks of bangles and the amount of movement and noise. Not like studs for earrings or like most piercings because most don’t move.
When we go in the water and take a cold plunge with clothes. How the clothes stick to us and yet even if stiff, they move. Also, the hair flip in the water come on. That would also blow their minds and the way it dries too.
Last but not least, the way how our chests move a bit when we take in a breath.
Ok let's freak out some sentient alien bots (cybertronians) more about Earth even more!
Quicksand: ground that can you can literally sink into and drown in.
Acid rain: it exists on this planet??
Ocean: wdym you explored more of space than the ocean. You guys only explored 5% of the ocean? How come? Oh it's because if you go past a certain depth (crush depth), the water pressure is so immense that our METAL submarines gets crushed and implodes.
Geothermal springs: Springs that are so acidic (pH can get as low as 0.8) that they can dissolve cybertronians' metal. Also, slightly radioactive??
Lightning: bolts of electricity that reach 50,000 F (5x hotter than sun's surface) and travel through plumbing.
Tornados: Bumblebee can testify for this and no he ain't getting whisked away to the Land of Oz at the end of it.
Earthquakes: not what Ratchet experienced
Tsunami: those guys are terrified of water
Hurricanes: water and wind at huge strength what a combo. And there's tsunamis after. AND these happen yearly?!?
Volcanoes: Have the poor cybertronian on the other end to walk the plank into the lava.
Sinkholes: the ground can open and swallow you in?
Blizzards: Black ice causing the automobile bots to go flying. The ice freezing into certain crevices.
Cybertronians come to this planet and get freaked out and then they remember that oh it’s because of Unicron.

Specifically on the lightning. So, I had heard that humans can survive lightning but wanted to make sure that I had my facts right and yes 90% of humans who are struck by lightning do survive (tho not without its complications). It's because it's too quick.
Well then cybertronian can survive it right? I don't think so. I say this because they don't have an outer barrier like we do. Our skin doesn't conduct electricity very well while metal does. Also, their inside is filled with energon, a very flammable substance.

I sometimes wonder how certain cybertronians would react to being on the other side of the “Young and technologically inferior race with God like beings” dynamic for once.
As they are quite used to being the one who's always “superior” in the “grand scheme of things,” the biggest fish in the pound. But as the saying goes there's always a bigger fish.
So just imagine one day a Quintesson crash lands on Earth for whatever reason with the Autobots or Decepticons coming check it out. They were in an accident involving some planet eater which the resulting blast from it imploding flung them here. The entire time they are there they make little comments but how far behind their technology is, the fragility, all that primitive behavior, their short lifespans (Oh, you can live for billions of years? Yeah try surviving to a few octillion then will talk) all in a similar fashion to you know who. Cough cough tfp Ratchet cough.
It would provide a much needed ego death for many of them and help revalue their place in the universe. Hmm those pathetic fleshies not looking too dissimilar to you now when compared to something like this huh?
When a cybertronian disses a human accomplishment by siting their species can easily do that I'm like okay, technically true.
But could you do it as a human?
If you had all the same limitations we had could you do it? No? Thought so.
Thinking about how Energon is often referred to as the “life blood” of cybertronians because kinda no?? I get why it’s talked about so similarly but like…we can just make more blood, they can’t. It must be bizarre as hell to find out that the closest analogy to energon is just something an organic can make more of, as much as they want actually, they just donate it to each other all the time! Need some blood? I’m type O, you can borrow some of mine :)
Anyway, this is all to say that I thought of an exchange where Miko gets a scratch and starts bleeding, and while Bulkhead is fussing she just goes “it’s fine, I can make more blood.” and he just pauses for a moment because a cybertronian leaking Energon from an injury is Bad™ lmao
I could write an essay on how from a biological standpoint cybertronians are horribly designed.
There are many ways to evaluate how successful a species is as a whole and lemme tell you they don't pass a high bar.
Come to think of it, it really is insane that my entire country is burning alive and literally no one in the rest of the world cares. Thousands of Indians are dying every day from the heat, it's 45+ degrees in multiple areas, the government couldn't give two fucks, we're getting severe warnings and red alerts, and not a soul outside of South Asia is speaking about it because why would you ever care about brown people

EDIT Headcanon: Cybertronians understand Indo-European languages but not outside of it.
I'm basing this off of what is show in Transformers Prime.
This is more of a headcannon tbh. But I think it’s implied in Season 1, Episode 10 (Duex Machina) and this is where Bulkhead picks up Miko from detention and telling Miko you need to go college and then Miko says you sound like my parents. Then Bulkhead is like but they speak Japanese. This is an implication that they don’t automatically translate it.
HOWEVER, when Ultra Magnus first arrived on Earth, he was speaking English fluently. This could suggest that Latin was the most similar to Cybertronian. Idr where I read this tho. Also, Zeta is a Greek letter and Greek is not in the Romance language family. The only connecting language family between the rest of the Romance languages and Greek is Indo-European

Y’all I’ve got a question.
So… I have an idea for a Ratchet x reader fic. Valentine’s Day is coming up soon and then the reader wants to get Ratchet a gift. Ratchet learns what Valentine’s is from the kids discussing with the reader about Valentine’s.
Ok this is cute and y’all but I want to spice things up (not NSFW style).
So.. the reader goes to Optimus for gift help because Optimus’ is Ratchet’s closest friend. So, they spend a lot of time together, making Ratchet feel jealous and insecure.
Ratchet gets his gift idea from the other humans. So he finishes the gift but then he hears the reader say to Optimus, “I’m glad that we’ve kept from Ratchet. Let’s keep it as our lil secret.” (Something along the lines to spark jealousy and miscommunication)
Ratchet is surprised because he thought that the reader went home last night. He didn’t think the reader came back and surprised they didn’t tell him. And also, he’s jealous. Just as he was about to call you out for something, he gets called to fix something and gets really busy in the morning.
In that meanwhile, the reader leaves for work and comes back later. The reader is offput by Ratchet’s attitude.
Then later reader confronts and shows the whole fake Cybertron and lays down a massive cloth because fabric is a cybertronian luxury. Ratchet taken aback and feeling guilty, so he apologizes and then they make up. After they make up, Ratchet gives the gift.
Then it gets a bit suggestive.
Ok I was just laying out the scenario. So my questions are does it matter if I write and this in these few months even if it’s not Valentine’s season? Also, what gift should Ratchet get?

Scenario 1: While reader is healing but is working on the vehicle when they shouldn’t and feelings are starting to bud between the two. Ratchet catches it first

Ratchet blushing like a blueberry when he heard the “My Ratchet??”
He walks over to check out what y/n is doing
