Vaseshipghost

My work has been piling up and that’s been affecting my creativity. Up until now, I’ve been mostly forcing myself to turn out work that in hindsight, I’m not entirely proud of.

There are some things that I did enjoy doodling up, but unlike a lot of people, I really am mostly a hobbyist artist. I love drawing but I also have a lot in my personal life right now that prevents me from enjoying it as of late.

Sometimes I get a quick burst of inspiration and I have to put it to paper while the idea is fresh, but so often do those ideas come to me during times when they really shouldn’t, like when I’m driving, doing something else, and especially when I’m at work (which is when I really shouldn’t be drawing). I need to put my responsibility to my job ahead of me first.

I’ll still be plenty active on my main @vaseshipghost account, where you can see me reblog pretty much be everything I like, but that’s about it.

I just can’t continue fooling myself into doing something that at the moment brings me no joy.

This isn’t goodbye here, this account will still be up for anyone who wants to see what I’ve done so far, but I need more time to actually improve without pressuring myself into doing so, get the tools that will actually help me, and more importantly, rediscover my love for drawing.

When will I be back here? Who knows. Could be next week, could be next month, maybe even next year. One thing is certain, I’m not going away forever. I will come back. I just need time for myself.
