We had a suggestion recently from a customer who asked that we start working on an e Cigarette Slang page or glossary of e Cigarette terms.
I have seen a few around and decided it was time to do my own.
So, written in typical MJ style I invite you to check out our all new e Cigarette Slang page.
It is a work in progress and I am open to suggestions and ideas on expanding it even further. In fact I have been writing a list of things that "I should add" and have called it my list of things "I will add" when time permits.
If you have any e Cigarette Slang or terminology that you are un-sure of, shoot me a message. If there is anything that you would like added to the list, let me know and I will add it onto my list.
The goal is to create the most comprehensive list of e Cigarette terminology available. This will take some time, but I am sure with the combined effort of the vaping community we will make it happen.
I look forward to seeing those suggestions. To be kept in the loop with any updates head on over to Facebook and "Like" the Vapebar Facebook page or follow @vapebar on Twitter.
As most of you have come to notice over the past month or so, we are now shipping a 3-4ml sample Doubler with every order that we ship.
Peach Tea, Caramel Macchiato & our all new Wizards Brew have featured already so now it is time for Cauldron-eJuice Chai Tea to make make its mark.
Each order out the door for the next 200 orders will have Chai Tea and I am open to suggestions on what you think our next sample flavour should be.
For those of you that have received any of our samples to date, they can all be purchased at Vapebar, check out our eJuice page and find your favourite flavour today.
Loving the feedback that we have been getting, looking forward to hearing thoughts on the Chai

If you use a mechanical mod and are hesitant about the safety of your device, the latest in Mod Safety has just arrived here at Vapebar. It could be just the thing to put your mind at ease a little.
The Vape Safe is a collaboration of the minds and genuis behind Cherry Vape, ePipeMods and Artisan Vaping in the US.
It is a safety device that adds an in-line fuse for any circular battery with a diameter of 16mm of more.
The Vape Safe attaches magnetically on the negative terminal of the battery and trips when the current drawn out of (or in to) the battery exceeds a certain amount.
In reality the Vape Safe is a mechanical fuse that trips if it senses a short in the mod, by shutting down the battery.
The device can also protect variable voltage circuitry, hot springs and other circuitry inside your mod that can be damaged in the event of a hard short.
Does it make your device 100% safe? No, however it will make it safer. There is still a chance that your battery may fail thermally, when properly used it can help to prevent a thermal reaction from occurring, but that doesn't mean your device will be or ever be 100% safe.
Check out our Vape Safe product page for more information and a video showing installation and correct usage.
For the worlds most trusted eCig/Mod Batteries, you can not go past AW. Check out our range of AW IMR High Drain Batteries the perfect pairing for the Vape Safe and your mechanical mod.

I am VERY new to vaping having recently rec'd a starter kit and waiting for further stuff ordered. I can't get my head around mixing vape liquids. What's the difference between vegetable oil and the other one - why are they used at all? Is it possible to simply buy premixed flaoours and mix them to try new tastes?
Yes, you can buy ready to vape flavours. See our Joye Range http://www.vapebar.com.au/joye-ejuice/ for an idea on those.
Mixing is cheaper, and more flexible than buying a ready to vape eJuice.
If you are Australian, you will learn pretty quickly that you can not purchase Nicotine (legally) in Australia. There are big fines for those caught selling it.
So...yes you can purchase Nicotine eJuice ready to go. But given the opportunity to mix the eJuice yourself (mixing a Cottees cordial is harder). Whereby you can adjust the taste and the strength to suit your own needs.
Vegetable Glycerin (VG) gives more visible vapour. Propylene Glycol (PG) retains flavour the best mix is a blend of the two and something that you will learn as you start mixing.
It might appear mind blowing, but tying shoe laces, mixing cordial, boiling an egg, reading a blog, using a computer are all arguably harder to do.
Ultimate flexibility. You determine the strength of both the flavour and the nicotine.
To top it all off...I would back my flavour creations against that of Chinese/US manufacturer of ready to vape eJuice, every day of the week.
Seeing is believing, experience is gained very quickly. Take the plunge and see for yourself.
You may know them by any or all of the following names...
Vision eGo Clearomizer
Stardust Clearomizer
CE4+ Clearomiser
They are the same thing, branded differently depending on who is selling them.
A lot of people are asking...who is original and an even larger number of people are of the idea that "Stardust was first" or "Vision are the original suppliers".
Originality in China is something that is very hard to come by. I like to think of most Chinese manufacturers as being "R&D" firms...that is "Research and Duplicate" artists.
The idea was originally conceived by Microcig. The same company responsible for CE2 (including all the revisions), CE3, CE4 & now the CE4+...The term Stardust is a marketing strategy employed by Vision eCig.
Essentially they are the same thing...instinct tells me they are all made by Microcig and Vision is a reseller/re-brander who has been very successful in raising the products awareness, however there is little to no evidence out there that either proves or dis-proves my feeling on it.
They are very popular among Aussie vapers using unregulated battery mods and/or eGo style batteries.
Aesthetically they are great and the form factor perfect for an eGo battery.
If you hear people talking about Stardusts or CE4+ or Vision eGo Clearomisers, then they are talking about the product that I am here to tell you a little more about.
If you do hear the term CE4...then a CE4 is very different from a CE4+ so probably best to clarify that point.
Let me tell you a little more about them...
A Stardust/Vision eGo/CE4+ is....
A clearomiser (Clearomizer for the US audience).
Meaning it is made of a transparent or semi-transparent material which allows the user to see the level of eJuice
A clearomiser (cartomiser for those you can't see into) is a combination of Atomiser & Cartomiser. Which essentially turns your 3 piece eCig into a 2 piece eCig.
A Stardust Clearomiser has a listed capacity of 1.6ml which for the average vaper is around a 1 day supply of eJuice.
Re-Useable
A Stardust Clearomiser is re-useable. You can fill and re-fill many times.
It is considered slightly less disposable than a "filler packed" cartomiser.
Is able to be cleaned.
Easy changeover of eJuice flavours if required.
User Friendly
Even the most fussiest of "I want it to be easy" vapers can use it.
Available in a number of different colours for aesthetics or to give you the ability to differentiate eJuice contents.
Available in two different resistances. Meaning there is a resistance that is right for whatever device you plan to use them on.
How to use...
Unscrew the driptip and remove from clearomiser
Using an eJuice bottle or syringe, fill the clearomiser by inserting juice down the side wall. You will see it filling
Avoid getting any eJuice down the centre tube
Screw the drip back onto the clearomiser (do not screw too tightly)
Gently blow through the driptip into a tissue (to remove any in-advertent eJuice that may have entered the centre column)
Allow the clearomiser to sit for 2-3minutes which will allow it to wick effectively
Screw the Stardust on to your 510 threaded device
Vape
If you are using an eGo/eGo-T/eGo-C battery, then it is plug & play.
If you are using a mod such as a GLV or ProVari (or others) then you will require an eGo-510 Adapter which will raise the base of the clearomiser off the drip well allowing use.
Why not check them out for yourself?
Now available at Vapebar

Vapebar has been granted a "Gold Rating" by the Australian Tobacco Alternatives Consumer Association (ATACA) after meeting & exceeding ATACA Associated Vendor Guidelines.
ATACA is focussed on Tobacco Harm Reduction and viable Tobacco alternatives that are currently being overlooked.
I urge everyone reading this to sign-up and take part in an organisation that is working towards the acceptance of eCigarettes
More information can be found on the ATACA website.
Hi MJ
Also wanted to mention that with the recent battery exploding in FL while a
guy was using some other device, we want to stress the importance of using
the proper batteries with the ProVari. While it was not one of our devices,
engineering at ProVape posted this information:
The amount of power required to run an eCig requires a battery that can
store a large amount of energy and deliver that energy on demand rapidly.
Because of this requirement lithium ion batteries are the best choice. We
all need to respect the amount of energy in these batteries.
But are they safe?
We all hear about the occasional incident where a battery fails in a violent
way. This is caused by a short circuit within the cell or if stacked cells
are used, one cell can discharge into the other with high discharge rates
when one cell depletes its energy before the other.
A mild short will only cause an elevated self-discharge. Little heat is
generated because the discharging energy is very low.
If, however, for whatever reason any of the following conditions happens;
1. Internal short circuit
2. Excess external charge current
3. Excess external discharge current
4. Environment conditions
The temperature can rise to the point where thermal runaway can happen that
results in 'venting with flame.'
There are two basic types of lithium-ion chemistries: cobalt and manganese
(spinel). Typical battery chemistry mixes are cobalt, nickel, manganese and
iron phosphate.
Lithium-ion cells with cobalt cathodes should never rise above 130°C
(265°F). At 150°C (302°F) the cell becomes thermally unstable, a condition
that can lead to a thermal runaway in which flaming gases are vented. To
achieve maximum runtime, cell phones, digital cameras and laptops use
cobalt-based lithium-ion. Because of the lower temperature whereby the cell
becomes thermally unstable, electronic protection circuits are added.
Manganese is the newer of the two chemistries and offers superior thermal
stability. It can sustain temperatures of up to 250°C (482°F) before
becoming unstable. In addition, manganese has a very low internal resistance
and can deliver high current on demand. It is these two features that make
this battery the best choice for use in the ProVari. The drawback of spinel
is lower energy density. Typically, a cell made of a pure manganese cathode
provides only about half the capacity of cobalt. The higher inherent safety
of the spinel system permits the exclusion of the electric circuit in the
battery. In the ProVape eCigs we incorporate the protection circuit into the
eCig thus providing an added layer of safety. We know of NO safer
combination then to use the manganese lithium ion battery with the ProVape
eCig.
The AW IMR type cells that use the manganese chemistry are the safest of the
lithium chemistry types.
The higher capacity cells use the cobalt chemistry with the electronic
protection circuit.
The ultimate in safety is to have multiple redundant safety layers whereby
if one layer of safety fails the other layer prevents an unsafe condition.
This is what we strive for at ProVape, even if it means more internal
components with its associated higher cost.
Asia produces many non-brand replacement batteries that are popular with
users because of low price. Many of these batteries don't provide the same
high safety standard as the main brand equivalent. A wise shopper spends a
little more and buys a higher quality battery with its higher level of
safety.
It is NOT recommended you use an unidentified lithium-ion battery from an
Asian source.
As a consumer, you are in a position to select the highest quality and
safest equipment. With each purchase, ask yourself,”Are a few pennies or
dollars saved worth the safety risk?” Ultimately, your personal safety is in
your hands with the equipment you buy.
Today, lithium-ion is one of the most successful and safe battery
chemistries available. Two billion cells are produced every year. But be
aware that there are several lithium ion battery chemistries being sold in
the market. Some are safer than others.
Considering the number of lithium-ion batteries used on the market, this
energy storage system has caused little harm in terms of damage and personal
injury. In spite of the good record, its safety is a hot topic that gets
high media attention whenever an incident occurs.

(This formed part of an email received by me from ProVape today - permission was given to me to re-produce)
Well it has been a few months in the planning stages and after having a few days to myself recently I pulled my finger out and did what needed doing.
eJuiceForum is a Vapebar owned and operated forum that exists primarily as a support base to our existing customers and as a launching base for potential Vapebar customers.
As announced on our Facebook page a few days ago, we are going to have a SALE this looong weekend.
It is Australia Day tomorrow, so to celebrate here is a coupon we thought you might like.
Use the code "Australia" for 25%OFF everything in the eJuice Category at Vapebar.
Every eJuice in the Cauldron-eJuice, Vixen Vapors and JoyeTech eLiquid range will be 25%OFF when the code "Australia" is used before checking out.
There is a bit of a trend lately, driven mostly by a handful of new (yet overly ignorant) vapers that believe and are trying to make everyone else believe that buying eJuice overseas is actually cheaper than buying it here.
Let me assure you it is not. Check this out - Price vs Cost Vape-Blog
Buy locally, support an Australian Business this Australia Day Long Weekend.

Turns out we had a couple of Intra-state Vapebar customers in town and the opportunity to get together at the pub with a few Perth locals for a Sunday session was too good to pass up. To all that came at such short notice, thanks for a great afternoon. Mind the grainy iPhone pic (if I was a little less under the influence of alcohol and actually remembered to, I would have taken a better pic).
It gives me great pleasure to announce 3 new flavours into the Cauldron-eJuice range.
3 out of 5 flavours released to the CEDS team for advanced testing proved to be winners from feedback scores provided and in keeping with our "Highest Quality" undertaking we have realeased those three flavours for sale to Aussie Vapers.
They have been batched initially in a 50%PG-50%VG blend and are optimised specifically for this ratio.
This is a very unique (although very soon to be copied, like everything we do) blend in Australia.
When combined with a 100%PG unflavoured base will give a resulting ratio of 75%PG - 25%VG
Is it Black Currant? Is it Black Berry? or is it even Black Cherry?
Many people have had conflicting ideas about what exactly makes up this juice, but let's just agree that it is a pre-dominant Black ________ and leave you to fill in the blanks.
Flavour 2
Witch Apple by Cauldron-eJuice
Despite the clever play on words (nice one MJ), this really is an intriguing vape. It is unique and it is a blend. Some people swear by Jonathon Red Apple, others by a tart yet sweet Granny Smith Green Apple. The majority came to a conclusion of a blend of both.
Flavour 3
Melancholy by Cauldron-eJuice
Some people have commented on a "creamy melon" taste as lower voltages, others at higher voltage have said "Midori". A naturally sweet flavour, that is a perfect summer time vape.
Rather than claim to have the "largest range" or be the "cheapest" as our competitors do, we invest a lot of time and effort into getting things right. Every time.
If you want an eJuice that is Australian Made from the highest quality, freshest ingredients that is consistently the same every time you purchase it, then Cauldron-eJuice is the logical choice.
Cauldron-eJuice Doublers, available exclusively from Vapebar!
