Hello,

I’m writing to help Haneen Awad and her family. @naeemaemad She asked me by message on Bluesky if I could share her story to the world.

Haneen is a Palestinian from Gaza Strip. She’s the mother of 6 kids: Naeema, 22 years old, is in her 2nd year of college studying public relations and media. Mumen, 17 years old, is in his last year of high school. Abdul Rahman, 14 years old, is in his 8th grade. And last, the twins Elias and Elan, 9 years old and in 3rd grade.

Haneen wrote to me that she feels betrayed, devastated and helpless. Recently she and her children walked on foot with their essential belongings, searching for another shelter and for some food. They had to leave because of a new evacuation order.

She also told me it’s heartbreaking for her to watch her children hungry and having difficulty to sleep at night. Because of hunger. Because of fear of dying in their sleep.

So today I ask you, please, to make a donation if you can. And also to share her story to help Haneen and her children.
