Leandro is the second born to parents Marcos and Gloribel Pereira in San Antonio de los Banos, Cuba. The two first met in middle school after his mother immigrated from Guatemala and settled in the house next door. For the longest time they denied having any feelings for one another, but as they grew older and began to see other people jealousy quickly got in the way of their friendship and they could no longer live in denial.

Marcos proposed soon after graduation and before long the teens had married and expected their first child, Lucas. While they had originally wanted to wait until further in their careers to begin a family, some miracles simply just cannot be helped and within the next three years they welcomes two more children into the mix - Leandro and his younger sister Maribel.

Having come from a family of over achieving doctors, the Pereira's had never needed for much money and so finding care and entertainment for their children while the two continued to further their careers had been an easy ride.

Looking towards a better future for their children, Marcos and Gloribel decided to move to a new country where their children's careers could open up and expand on the family's already impressive medical legacy. The family got to Londres in the year 1992, when Leandro was only 10 years old.

Growing up they had always known the life they each would live. Marcos had been a brain surgeon while his wife a mortician tech, his expectation for his children were simple so long as they to chose a medical profession to embark on. While his older brother had been as ambitious and ruthless in his study as his father was, his younger sister following quick behind, Leandro didn't have the same passion. Blood made him squeamish and the though of cutting into people terrified him.

He kept all of his hidden from his family, only allowing his brother who he was extremely close to into his mind. Lucas promised to help Leandro find a way to speak to their parents. To slowly offer the possibility of a different career despite the already planned future his father had for them.

During their high school years, Leandro opened himself up to the possibility of a future of his own making. He fell in love with art - painting and realistic drawings specifically - and over the years his skills only seemed to blossom further and further. Leandro entered competitions and won awards for his pieces which influenced and motivated his dreams even more.

But tragedy struck his family, and during his brother's graduation trip the school bus was hit by a reckless drunk driver and his brother as well as other students quickly perished. The loss had driven his family into dark times. His mother refusing to leave her bed, and his father who seemed to have lost all the life from his eyes.

Leandro and Lucas had been so close for most of their lives and living a life without him seemed almost impossible, but seeing the way his family crumbled around him terrified him. He had to do something to ensure they didn't let his brother's death consume them alive. Against his every being, Leandro took the reign and pulled his family back together also stating his future plans of becoming a surgeon like they had all planned.

While it hadn't been easy, nor quick, his family slowly settled into a new found 'normal' after Lucas' death. Leandro graduated high school with high honors, and went onto medical school without a hitch. He worked tirelessly in order to perfect his poker face around all the blood and gut churning process that his now chosen field was. Finding unique ways to desensitize himself by watching operations nonstop for most of his college years.

Somewhere along the line Leandro met and fell in love with his current wife Rania Chadha, but it had taken him months to simply get her number let alone ask her out. He had never been the flirtatious type, or clever with his words. Up until he met her, Leandro had been in one relationship dating back to high school before Lucas passed and a situationship that had been more his best friend than anything else. But with Rania things had hit differently. His chest pounded when she walked by and his hands grew moist.

Over the span of a couple of months they began dating and soon enough he introduced her to his family. Seeing as she too was in the medical field Rania had been immediately welcomed into the family. Leandro still had a full grasp on the promise he made himself and Lucas - of getting their family back on track and filling in his shoes - so he focused on his career first before proposing five years later.

After their engagement, Leandro expressed his interest in moving them to Chile due to a job opening he was interested in and upon getting the job the two came to Valpo. Having had accomplished everything he set out for himself, Lea and Rania started a family. They welcomed their twins Zane and Sonia - now ten years old - into the world.

Myeong's parents were far too young to be parents, let alone raise a child properly, and because of that her grandparents took over. While she knew who her real mother was the entire time, she was raised by her grandparents who took great interest in ensuring that her future was nothing like that of her mother's.

As she had done for most of Mimi's life, her mother would leave home and come back years later with more problems for her parents to take care of. Debt she racked up while gambling or money owed to a drug dealer, the situations were always the same. When she showed up she needed money, and like the desperate and loving parents that Myeong's grandparents were they provided their daughter with whatever she needed. Saving her from whatever problems she wrapped herself into.

While her grandparents had been far too careless with her mother - Jiyeon - Myeong's youth they paid far too much attention to. Ensuring she behaved well, and got good grades. Making sure that she wasn't out longer than allowed and that her friends weren't bad influences.

Knowing they had only good intentions, Mimi followed every rule laid out for her and excelled in school to make them proud. She knew pretty young that her grandparents were trying to redeem themselves as parents and while she sometimes questioned their true love for her, she also knew that she owed them everything. If they hadn't raised her, she couldn't imagine how she'd end up. Or where.

Myeong always held a love for theater and soon after graduating high school she moved across the globe to America where she began training and auditioning to different shows. While it had been a rocky start over the years she was able to make a name for herself as small and insignificant to the world as that might have been.

Not too long after Myeong met who she believed to be the love of her life. The two often auditioned together and socialized with the same group of friends. What started as nothing but silly flirting between co stars turned serious much faster than she could have thought. Something that she soon would come to regret.

Within the first year the two moved in together and Ash's true colors came to light. They would audition for the same shows, supported each other's independent careers, but over time jealousy got in the way. If Mimi got a part in a show while Ash didn't, then the duration of the play Ash would lash out. They argued and broke up only to get back together.

Three years into their relationship and Mimi was over Ashley, the only thing keeping them together was lack of funds to move out. While they did make good money, it wasn't nearly enough for her to move out on her own in New York but she did keep an emergency fund in case she had to uproot and move back home.

Over time, Myeong began to gain followers and before long she had lines of suitors offering her the world. She turned everyone down for the most part, but after a while temptation won and she began secretly going on dates and lying about it. It wasn't as if Ashley planned on marrying her, so Mimi didn't feel the least bit bad about it.

One of those many suitors would offer to take her traveling all over Europe and she gathered up her belongings and took off telling Ashley she'd gone back home to visit her family. This became a regular arrangement between Mimi and this specific suitor although it didn't ever go beyond sex and travels. Much like her, he had his life already built - they were simply having fun.

It took a good seven years for Ashley and Mimi to part ways and when they did Myeong made it her mission to travel some more - this time on her own - and not let someone keep her rooted for shits and giggles. Christian Gael was born into an extremely wealthy family, but everything that he got was earned. His parents instilled in him from a very young age the importance of hard work, and making a name for himself regardless of their last name. They didn't want him to end up as just another spoiled rich kid.

His relationship with his mother is something Gael treasured. At the age of ten the two got into a car accident, which left his mother bound to a wheelchair for the remainder of her life. Gael blamed himself despite having no fault and promised himself he'd always stay near his mom. For the longest time his mother fell into a depression and refused to even speak.

His father on the other hand barely even spent time at home, and when he was present all Gael ever got were scoldings and judgements. Not soon after the incident with his mother, Gael witnessed his father's infidelity with a house employee. He didn't know what was happening at the time, being only ten or eleven years old, simply knew that it was wrong and he confronted his dad.

It took about a twenty minute conversation where he was manipulated into keeping the secret from his mother. Two years later his father brought home a little girl almost half his age claiming to be her father, and that they would live together as a family.

The betrayal that Gael felt has carried on to this day. He refuses to acknowledge her as a member of his family. He blames her for ruining his family and sees her as an extension of her home-wrecking mother. It didn't help that the moment she moved in her father showered her with gifts, and most heartbreakingly his love. Something that Gael never got from him.

While his mother still refused to speak, Gael could see how much pain his new housemate was bringing her which only infuriated him more. Being the mother that she was, Gloribel did her best to put her pain aside and raise his half-sister as her own while urging Gael to treat her well.

Tired of dealing with the mess of a house that his father had created, Gael moved out as soon as he was legally able to and did everything in his power to anger his father. It was no secret that he would be taking over the family company once Christian senior retired, but Gael had no plans of following in his father's footsteps at the time.

During one of his unavoidable family vacations, Gael met and quickly became infatuated with a woman he could only describe as 'godly'. Beauty unmatched, and a personality that made his toes curl. She (Poet) worked on the yacht, much to his father's dismay, and the two began seeing one another. It wasn't long after that they began traveling together and Gael felt what he could only assume was true love.

He had dated people from time to time, but they were pretentious and superficial - two words he could never use to describe Poet. They usually never lasted more than a month or two, but with her things were different. He couldn't get enough of her and after some years the two were running off to Vegas where they married.

After around six months of alluding and ignoring calls from his father, Gael's location was found and in the middle of the night a knock came to his door. He was given an ultimatum.

With little to no time to properly process or explain himself to Poet, Gael left her there and returned home with his father. Over the years he wondered what had become of her, and while he had all the means and opportunities to reach out as time went on, he didn't know what to expect. The uncertainly made him wait even longer and before he knew it years had gone by.

Despite not wanting to follow in his father's footsteps the thought of his half sister taking the company fueled his blood even more and so Gael focused his all on becoming the next C.E.O even pitching an expansion of the oil company to other countries which is how he found himself in Chile.

While all the legal process took form, Gael was tasked with securing locations for the expansion as well as looking into other competitors. This required him to temporarily move.
