"I would have been fine sleeping on your couch, but that's even better." Mon-El shrugged. He didn't really care, he didn't really sleep much since landing on Earth anyway, not anymore. That was an entirely different story, though. "Yes she would." He wasn't taking that answer at face value. "If she does, then she is going to have a serious problem." At least the Daxamite had alien powers in order to defend himself, Winn did not. . .

"I know things are hard." That was an understatement for everyone. But what else could she say? "But there is still good in the world. Finding that stuff that stops the pain for a little while is what makes it all worth it." That's what had gotten her through to this point, at least.

Did Nia really get it, though? Being torn between the present and the future, it seemed that Mon-El had a fairly unique situation on his hands. The man wanted so badly to stay here with Kara and her friends, his friends. . . his FAMILY. It was difficult for him to sleep, let alone breathe sometimes when he thought too much about it. "The only thing that stops the pain is the one thing that I can't have."
