I havenāt been posting lately because I havenāt had the energy nor time for art, but here are two small canvases I painted a few months ago!! left is with uni posca markers and the right was done with gouache. both were inspired by Mary Blairās Cinderella concept art š„°
a study on Mary Blair, specifically for her work on Disneyās Cinderella, on a 15.6cm Ā² canvas. medium is uni posca paint markers
very proud of this one! it definitely went off the rails near the end of it, but i like the final result nonetheless. i hope to one day have as much mastery over colors as the great blair did!
hello! itās been a while since i posted here. thank you for still following me despite the lack of updates/new art. itās not that i havenāt been drawing, but just that there wasnāt really anything i felt compelled to post here.
but now i have something to show! these are three 6.5x6.5cm canvases painted using uni posca paint markers, which iāve gotten increasingly comfortable with. the canvases themselves are cheap in quality, so donāt mind the weird borders and corners š i had fun with these so iāll definitely make more~

pfft i forgot to post thisā¦ art summary for 2019 =w= i ended up drawing a lot more traditional than digital, so it was actually a little hard to find entries. also could not find anything noteworthy for nov-decā¦ rip trying to get more comfortable with my posca markers!!! itās a bit hard tho bc im impatient and donāt wait long enough for the paint to dry lol

a dear friend of mine got me a set of posca markers for my birthday and iāve been having a BLAST playing with them! they have very vivid hues and (with a bit of patience) donāt smear at all. itās definitely gonna take some time to get used to them but i look forward to it ^^
This is an art blog, but I dabbled into writing for the Fall 2018 Issue of @popnikkiofficialĀ and I wanted to post the (extended) article I wrote! I wrote an event recap following Iriās event recap in the Summer 2018 Issue, but I decided to include some cultural notes based on my research. Mine goes from July through November, and Iāve split up the recaps according to months.

The Smile Circus (7/15 ā 7/21)
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā This event saw the return of our favorite clowns, with a focus on a pair of close friends. Smile is trying desperately help her friend Claire smile with Magic Cards that you must collect to trade for parts for the Joker and Magic Card and Aria of Night suits. Both suits feature gorgeous curly hair, circus cats, giant glass cards, and fun clown outfits. This event was also a surprise first appearance of future story characters Yue Qianshuang and Ming Shuiyuan, who appeared in upcoming lore-heavy events.
Momo's Birthday (7/25)
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā While not an event hosted in the game, the official Love Nikki Facebook held a photo contest asking fans to submit photos of their lovable cats to celebrate our favorite snarky fashion adviser's birthday. At the end of the contest, 50 random players would be chosen to win 100 diamonds each! So generous, unlike our favorite snarky, stingy cat.
The Fox Wedding Pavilion (7/25 ā 7/31)
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā This time-limited event Pavilion focused on a yokai, much like the Shuten Doji Pavilion. Yokai are Japanese spirits, who range from harmless creatures who like to play pranks to ferocious and powerful demons that terrorize humans. Yoco was a fox spirit who fell in love with a human man after saving his life. Finding out that he was to marry a human woman, Yoco took it upon herself to become the bride instead. The featured suit is Yoco's bride outfit in the traditional Japanese style, with her fellow fox spirit servants and gorgeous floating card backdrops. The white hood with fox ears comes separate from the dress, and features a new foxy makeup item.
Koinobori Kimono (7/25 ā 7/31)
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Koinobori Kimono was a stamina-driven event that gave us a summer yukata and its two additional recolors. It features a sweet young girl, holding koinobori in a traditional summer yukata. Koinobori are fish kites that fly in Japan on May 5, Children's Day. Previously known as "Tangen no sekku" and celebrating only the health and bright future of boys, the modern-day iteration of "Kodomo no Hi" celebrates both boys and girls, as well as their mothers, fathers, and other family members.

I really adore this suit! The tiny teacup headband, the large golden spoon, the biscuit brooch and buttonsā¦ whatās NOT to love about this outfit, especially with the really cute short blunt bangs? šš what a cute suit!!
