When they parted for breath, Casey just wanted to curl up next to him and sleep. But Anderson was waiting. "I'm gonna go back to work now and you take a nap." Alex quickly kissed him again before tucking him back into his sweats and pulling the comforter over his heated body. "And when you wake up, I'll be here." He threw on his suit jacket and leaned over Wake who was already fighting his heavy eyelids but still managed to smile sleepily at him. "And I love you too", Casey whispered before planting a kiss on the Director's forehead.

"Alan?" Casey said softly and waited. Waited until finally, after few moments of silence, Wake moved his head and looked at him with those sad eyes. Always so big and always so warm when they were alone. Casey closed the gap and kissed him, raising his hand from his elbow to thread it through those soft curls he helped wash the other day. Wake sighed and kissed him back, his whole body finally relaxing.

Casey was anxious. He was a ball of nerves because the Director standing next to him was almost vibrating with anxiety. It was hitting him like waves hitting the shore with every breath the other man took. And Casey tried to ignore it because moving away from him did nothing. He tried. So he drank his coffee with shaky hands and waited. When he was ready to open his mouth, Anderson slipped into the break room. "You were right, she was in the office"
