What’s this? Ardyn art in 2026? Based off my old 2017 comic AU? So wild to believe it’s been nearly a decade.

DO YOU THINK ARDYN WOULD STILL BE ON THE ROYAL FAMILY TREE OR WOULD HE BE COMPLETELY ERASED

So I've been wondering this and decided fuck it I'm putting it to a poll to see what all of you think so here it is.

Some of Somnus’s tomb may have eroded over time being so close to the meteor (stupid place to put it, but very Somnus "The Mystic" arrogance themed) but I have no doubt Ardyn helped a bit in destroying it when Niflheim first gained a foothold in that area of Lucis. That Verstael probably gathered a good deal of information on Somnus while he was researching ancient records on the Adagium, and provided the location of the founder king's tomb. A place even the Lucian people had lost records of...probably a side effect of much around that ancient time being forgotten or altered to fit the story line of there never having been another brother, another chosen...

Somnus’s tomb is probably where Ardyn raged first towards his brothers soul, toppling the stone walls around his sarcophagus that displays a older and more regal visage of Somnus... he can't bring himself to destroy the thing that houses his brothers body...even when frustration mounts at getting no response.

It is where he truly accepts all the closure he will get is from destroying his brother's heritage, that is of course, until he discovered on that Founders Day his brothers soul was available to not only speak to but possibly destroy by having Regis call upon the Old Wall...
