HERE BE DRAGONS.

the egg is blue and shines like a sapphire. something about the shell itself seems fluid, like it is made of water. there is a thing about it, something ethereal and otherworldly as it sits at a slight angle upon his dorm room pillow.

not to mention the fact it is the size of a basketball, rounded and smooth like a pearl.

a faint crack cascades upon its side, spiderwebbing down to the base. a small chunk goes flying, hitting the floor with a smack soften by the moistened shell. a small nose, pale blue to the point it toes the line of silver, worms through the gap.

tiny nostrils flare, the little life within taking his first breaths. a lip curls, exposing a small tooth- frustration at the fact he can not break free of his prison faster. hatching takes a lot of energy out of a newborn, especially a draconian.

Izuku did a bit of a double take when he entered his dorm room, barely having time to swing his yellow backpack off. That was...an egg. On his pillow. That definitely wasn't there when he left this morning! It was huge too...

He's barely taken one step towards his bed when the egg cracks and a chunk goes flying; almost as if the egg was waiting for him to get back before beginning to hatch. He scrambled a little; hurrying to crouch down by his pillow and becoming face to face with a snout and a little tooth.

The thing within the egg seemed spurred on by his words, as if it could feel the sheer determination behind them. His little nostrils flared more, a rapid inhale-exhale before he began to push again- clawing mindlessly from within.

Then, with one final strain, the egg cracked in half.

A taloned hand swiped against the young draconian's face, brushing away bits of fluid and flecks of eggshell. Eyes like deep blue sapphires stared at the teen in front of him, pupils going from cat-like slits to rounded orbs in seconds.

"Are you..." A young voice hummed slowly in his mind. "....Are you mine?"

He was a silvering blue draconian with smooth scales, streaks of dark navy and lighter blue running along his sides. he was about the size of a small cat, an appearance comparable to a cross between a dragon and a blue dragon sea slug. a fanned tail, long and graceful. membranous frills and wings on the front arms and back legs.
