were as the glue seeps through the one layer and leaves a lumpy texture in the middle bit. It is a massive improvement from the fleece face and next time I'll try barge cement. I did not expect the airbrushing to bleed like that. thankfully its not too bad. I had taped the areas off that I wanted to darken. Still feels very new to me. me narrating "watch me mess up every head with mediocre airbrushing skills" which is mean, and untrue, I'm already getting better at it. That critic is very loud right now though, I am happy with Grem. He looks great, and since I couldn't do better at this time I am satisfied. maybe another 5 years down the line I'll have something more. Put some ears on hopefully to avoid people calling him a wolf. unfortunately the minky on hand DOESN't match the tongue but that's from fabric.com so unlikely I'll get a correct match anytime soon. I also thing the minky maker went out of business so I have this swatch pack that doesn't correlate with any other minkies. Sewed some flair into one ear and the other has some rips and one rip has faux sutures on them but its such a small detail. I got a chain to sew into the neck but am unhappy with it, so I'm saving it for another project. This is my partial, and I'm adding more stuff to the outfit, next up is a cool gorget that I hope I can finish in time for megaplex 26, just need to trip the flashing and sand it, the hardest part for me. I am also close to finishing another head, and I hope to get all the slated dino ideas done for plex. its just two heads right now, and since one is painted it's nearly done at this point. JUST have some AIRBRUSHING :D I've go mad with power

RAT RAT never posted images of this! so the eyes do glow there's like a push button in the jaw that needs to be lined up with the upper jaw to press down when the jaw opens. foam head built on a hat, It was fun to make and wear for a bit for photos this is a partial and I think Riot has it right now, will probably have it for plex 26 either she or I will. head hands and tail, and that art work in the middle there! Had medical bills on top of the extenuating life circumstances so I'm just trying to recoup my emergency fund right now

just for some to see the work behind these hat heads. image 1 nearly ready to fur, the eyes are missing. but once I put the cheeks on seen here as white foam the head is pretty much ready to go. the rat just had different eyes and I was unhappy with the ones I had. the cheek foam really stabilizes the jaw, Grem is made this way but without cheek foam so his jaw can open all the way. image 2 DECIDING on the eyes, as you can see I already airbrushed the ears. DO I know what I'm doing with the airbrush, no, does it stop me? NO. I am getting better with it so there! >:D Image 3 was either half mounted or mounted and just not sew around the jaw. I was doing a electronic test here, I like to test the electronics after the hot glue stage to make sure I've not made a boo-boo not that my hot glue gun can get that hot. Image 4 Finished and seen with tail which also has airbrushing on it! I tried making a star and well didn't work out so well so I used sutures to put some charms on it right over my failed airbrush star. FLAIR. if you see that tooth charm on the ear? made that pre-pandemic and then never used it. Figured I'd use it on the rat since it was going to be a personal suit but it fit so well I left it as is.

I was struggling to read a book I got at plex 25, and had erroneously assumed I had lost my ravenous book reading drive. NO I just don't seem to like murder mysteries in book format; I love watching them. I don't really solve them, and the book was just like ?????? it was 7 episodes in one book. not like Sherlock Holmes, not that I ever knew where any of that was going. so crisis adverted it was just because that one book was not super enjoyable read. Some of the episodes were easier than others. anyways once I finished that I read two books in the span of three days. I am keeping one of the books but the mystery and the space book are going to a friend. Now I am staring at the dutch book again. so I'll probably be brushing up on that next. I don't really have any spending money currently so I cannot get the first volume of the German book I have. though I have a metric ton of painting to do so I may just do that humidity willing.
