I'm really starting to get the urge to make my first fullsuit, but damn it seems like a lot of work and I have nobody to help me make a duct tape dummy 🥲
I mean maybe my sister could help but I know she's not into the furry stuff so idk how she'd feel about it lol
Paws in progress paws in progress <3 (commission WIP)
IT LIVES.
Hiii!! I don’t know if you take questions like these but I need help with my first fursuit head! I’m going for a regular foam base BUT there’s a small problem, the character I’m making has an “irregular” shaped head and I don’t know if I can make it so that I can see out of it and fit my head on it
You don’t have to answer this question but I was curious if you had a suggestion so I could shape/ build it in a good way. Here’s what he looks like! (It’s a balloon dog)
It’s ok if you don’t answer this, but if you do, thanks so much!!
Hello!
You have a very cute sona! But yes this is very doable. I will try my best to explain:
Start with a balaclava base. You want to buy a balaclava (sweat wicking NOT thermal!) And a mannequin head thats roughly your measurements (ive seen foam ones at the dollarstores and thrift stores) and build up your base from there.
Think of it like clay except you're gluing and sculpting upholstery foam. I would recommend 1 inch foam because its easy to work with.
Since your character is round in shape I would add strips of foam (think of paper mache on a balloon or beach ball) and add the soundness that way and just carve away any sharp edges.
I really hope this makes sense 😅

I don't know why your full deer fursuit popped up on my feed as I'm not a furry, but I appreciate how cute and super detailed it is. Doesn't matter if you made it, had it commissioned, whatever. It's adorable. Thank you for blessing my feed.
I really appreciate it! Its a commission that was requested by a client.
The costume is handmade by me, including some hand-stitched markings. Lots of work and effort went into it and I'm so glad people enjoy it regardless if you're a furry or not!
Your support is appreciated no matter what so thank you! ❤️
maaaaaan, he’s so confused…
