Relistening to the start of Rouges and holy shit I realized Jon's the one that reached out first. He's the one to step back from his usual surly ass anger at Ed being a asshole (yes Ed gave him that ear piece but he did that cause Jon called for Bolten) and took back calling in Bolten it's not a lot unless we remember how fucking petty this man is! He had the ear piece he could have still let Bolten grab Ed but he didn't. (Yes I'm working with crumbs cause that's all they ever give eachother)

Jon went to see him in the infirmary yeah he got a laugh out of it but he heard Ed was in the infirmary and yes Jon has a interest in getting Ed to spill about his life but he went to the infirmary to see Ed after he got cold clocked by a plant. He didn't know he could have made Ed show up or maybe even just cancel the appointment but he went to see him.

He gave Ed a gift in the first christmas episode.... Ikky liked Edward and Jon saw how much she and Ed vibed and gave Edward one of her feathers laminated pressed made into a bookmark....that takes time and it sounded like he took it somewhere for part of that process. And if he didnt?! 😏 Jon boy spent time doing arts and crafts.

Jon's the one who reached out first no wonder he took Ed betrayal so hard. (And yes that's what it was don't give the little narcissist/affectionate the benefit of the doubt)
