Yandere percy de rolo x knight reader chapter 3 its kinda okish no Yandere yet I did not realize im a slow burn writer
The sun peeked through my curtains as I lay completely content, holding my sweet Knight tightly as they slept soundly. I didn't move, besides gently running my hands along their side and playing with their hair, enjoying the peaceful look on their face.
In that moment, I decided I wanted to marry them, and I will do whatever I have to make that happen, even if it means running away. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but I'll cross that bridge if I come to it.
My dear Knight started to stir.
"My prince," they said with a sleepy smile, their hair messy and sleep still in their eyes.
They got up and started doing their morning stretches as I admired themβtheir ability to wake up and move immediately, and how amazing they looked at any given moment.
After a few minutes, I urged them to lay back down with me. I'd told my Knight that holding me in the mornings made me feel safer throughout the day. No questions were ever asked, only my requests happily followed.
We held each other for an hour, talking about anything except them leaving. Then we got up and headed to the dining hall for breakfast.
I woke to my prince holding me in a death grip. I made no complaints, but my body needed to stretch first thing in the morning.
I wiggled out of his grip and went through my morning routine. Percy never joined me, but he always cut it a little short by dragging me back to bed so we could hold each other and talk.
I've been thinking about talking to my family, as well as the King and Queen, to see if there's any chance I could visit Whitestone myself, stay during the summers, or anything at all.
My family are adventurers, and they've always said they would support whatever path I choose. I just hope they understand that my path is to be with Percy.
I don't care that I'll most likely never be able to marry him because of my status as a peasant. I just want to be with him until either I die protecting him or one of us passes away from old age.
I know this connection is a little strange. I don't really know how to describe it.
I don't know if they'll let me stay, but I have to do something.
We headed down to the dining hall for our first meal of the day, my arm linked with Percy's. Ever the gentleman, he led me as always, opening the door for me.
Our families were already seated, enjoying good conversation and an amazing breakfast.
As we entered, the King greeted us.
"Ah, Percy and his Knight! Happy to have you join us before the food gets cold."
Percy smiled as he led me to our seats.
"Now, everyone," the King continued, "I think there's something we need to discuss regarding our young hero and our dear Percival."
He looked between the two of us with a thoughtful smile.
"They've grown rather attached, and I think we should discuss what their future might look like while they're both still so young."
"I am sure you've all noticed how close they have become. Last night, my son came to me asking if there was anything we could do about our dear heroes' departure.
"I understand that you need to leave and that you love your nomadic lifestyle. But I was wondering if there is any way we could convince you to stay for a while. It is much safer here, and from our time together I know you all prefer life on the road. However, Knight is still young. Perhaps spending some time in one place would be beneficial... if everyone agrees."
As I listened to the king speak, a small spark of hope ignited inside me.
I stepped forward. "Mother, Father, Aunts, Uncles... if it's all right, I was hoping to talk to you about that."
"I've grown rather attached to Percy and Whitestone, and... I wish to stay here with him. I know I'm only a teenager, but I know what path I want to take. I wish to stay with my prince."
My mother looked at me with gentle concern.
"Darling... I don't know. I understand that life on the road can be dangerous, but you've lived it your entire life, and I know how much you love it. We would miss you dearly."
"I thought I had a few more years before the love bug got you and we lost you. Honey, I know you're practically fused to the hip with your prince, but let's be honestβyou aren't a noble. You'll never be able to marry him."
The king cleared his throat.
Percy and I both blushed at the same time.
My mother's eyes widened in stunned silence.
My father walked over and placed his hands on my shoulders. There was a look in his eyes I recognized immediatelyβthe one he wore whenever he was making a difficult decision.
He looked at me... then at my prince.
After a long moment, he slowly nodded.
"I think... we should let them stay."
The rest of my family exchanged conflicted glances. None of them looked happy, but one by one, they quietly accepted the decision.
For a moment, my prince stood frozen in shock.
Then, just as quickly, he snapped out of it.
They actually agreed to let my Knight stay.
I could hardly believe it. It felt like a miracle. The weight that had been crushing my chest for days simply vanished.
I didn't have to worry anymore.
Knight could stay with me.
And Father had even hinted at marriage.
The thought alone made my heart race.
I looked over at my dear Knight. They stood completely frozen, their eyes wide with what I could only describe as overwhelming relief. I wondered if they were thinking the same thing I wasβall the adventures we still had ahead of us, all the mornings, evenings, and years we would get to spend together.
Knight's mother stepped forward with a gentle smile.
"We still want to see you," she said softly. "Just because you're staying here doesn't mean we're losing you. We won't be cutting contact."
She cupped Knight's cheek.
"I want letters, and we'll visit Whitestone at least once a year. You're always welcome to come home for any reason."
"Yes, Mother!" Knight exclaimed, unable to hide their excitement.
They rushed into her arms, wrapping her in a tight embrace before hugging the rest of the family.
"I'm so glad you understand. Thank you... thank you so much."
Knight's mother smiled through watery eyes.
"I'm going to miss you terribly... but it comforts me knowing you'll finally have some stability."
Then Knight's father stepped forward.
"My baby," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "I'm going to miss you more than words can say."
He rested a hand on Knight's shoulder.
"Promise me you'll be good. Eat healthy. Keep practicing your craft."
A faint smile crossed his face.
"You're only fifteen... but you've been living like an adult for years. You've slain more monsters than men three times your age. You've saved thousands... and ended just as many to protect the innocent."
He looked at his child with unmistakable pride.
"You are one of the strongest, most capable people I have ever had the honor of meeting... let alone raising."
"You'll always be my baby... but eventually every parent has to let their child choose their own path."
He let out a shaky breath.
"I just hoped that day would come much later."
He pulled Knight into a tight embrace.
Knight broke down into tears, hugging their father as tightly as they could.
"Father... I'd never forget my family."
Their voice shook between sobs.
"I'll still see all of you. It just won't be every day anymore."
They wiped at their eyes.
"I'll still travel with you whenever I can. You'll always be welcome here, too."
Knight laughed softly through their tears.
"I'll write every day if you want."
They hugged their father once more.
"I'm going to miss you all so much."
The king cleared his throat once more.
"Before we move on, there is one more matter. First, I would like to extend an invitation to all of you."
He looked toward Knight's family.
"I know my son has taken up much of your child's time this past week, and I would hate for you to feel rushed. If you would like to stay a little longer, the offer is open. It would give you the chance for a proper farewell before you continue your travels."
The adventurers exchanged thoughtful glances.
It was a generous offer, but the road was where they belonged. Staying in one place for too long never suited them. As much as it hurt to leave their Knight behind, they knew it was time to move on.
One by one, they politely declined.
The king nodded with a warm smile.
"I understand. I, too, wish I had more time to explore what the world has to offer."
"Now that business is settled, I have something I'd like to ask you. Have you ever considered becoming a proper knight? Sworn to my dear son, of course."
Knight blinked in surprise.
"I mean it," the king continued. "You would be well paid, and you would continue doing much of what you already do. It may make adventuring with your family a bit more difficult, seeing as my son seems rather attached to you."
"We'll pry him away from you every now and then."
"And, naturally, we'd move you into quarters much closer to the prince instead of the room you've been using."
Joy bubbled up inside me.
My Knight... officially becoming my knight.
The thought alone made me grin.
It was going to be hard on them, leaving their family behind, but I'd be there for them. I'd be their rock, just as they'd been mine the short time i have been with them.
Then Father mentioned moving them closer to my quarters.
"Oh," my Knight began. "I've actually just been sleeping in Percy'sβ"
"In my room!" I blurted, my face burning bright red. "On a comfortable mat beside my bed. I've... been having nightmares since the attack."
Then one of Knight's uncles laughed.
"So that's where our Knight disappears every night."
Percy's older brother folded his arms with a grin.
"Really? Funny... I haven't seen a mat beside your bed in days."
I wanted the floor to swallow me whole.
"He's been having nightmares," I said quickly. "Being with him helps. I just stay with him at night."
My father slowly looked over at my mother.
A grin spread across his face.
"We might be having grandchildren much sooner than anticipated."
Mother sighed, though there was a hint of amusement in her voice.
"As long as they're happy... but I do think they're far too young."
The queen turned to Percy.
"Percy... what have you done?"
His face somehow turned an even darker shade of red.
Before he could stumble over another word, I stepped forward.
"Please don't be angry with him. The nightmares truly frighten him. As his soon-to-be sworn knight, it's my duty to protect himβeven from something as simple as a dream."
The queen's expression softened.
"That is very sweet, Knight. But you're still growing. You deserve a room of your own. You cannot sleep in the same bed forever. Percy will have to learn to face the nightmares on his own."
"Only when I'm away. If I'm here, I'd rather protect him. And when I travel, he can always come with me."
