Stubborn, earnest, loyal. You’ve known each other since university. She’s not really a believer in this supernatural stuff, but she'll admit that all the plate-smashing and levitating furniture is... probably not a prank, or at the very least, it’s one way too impressive for you to have orchestrated.

Your new employer [M]:

Evasive, smug, confident. The proprietor of a very strange shop, and the man on whom you attempted to foist your possessed purchase. He claims to be an authority on all things haunted, but he also has the air of someone who knows either way more or way less than he’s saying; it’s hard to tell with this guy.

 Your mentor [F]:

Aloof, pragmatic, perceptive. Your very knowledgeable guide to all things being-haunted, and the woman who’ll be training you in your new side job. Despite her prickly exterior and apparent disinterest in your predicament, you get the feeling that she’s a good ally to have. 

Your local expert [NB]:

Mistrustful, passionate, dedicated. An unsolved mystery fanatic and podcast author, as well as your best resource during these trying times. You’ve got lots of questions for them, like why they won’t tell you their name and how they keep accessing classified case documents, but you’ll have to earn their trust if you want answers.

bianca: would suggest this as a joke like ‘oh haha wouldn’t it be so funny if we kissed? lol tho just for fun just for the joke’ and then wither inside if MC agreed JSDLNJSJ takes full advantage of the kiss because. well if she’s going to kiss MC then she’s Going to Kiss MC. spends the next week and a half staring at the ceiling like ‘girl help i kissed MC but i said it was a joke but i have feelings now tf what’

valeria: would have to be Deep in the crushing stage to even consider agreeing to this KJNSDMKM also is comically bad at the whole ‘make out to distract someone’ part whoops. gets within an inch of MCs face and starts having her life flash before her eyes like how is this happening where did it all go wrong etc. then gives MC a very quick little Smooch like. Mwah. then probably is very awkwardly going to flee the scene and Scream into a pillow or smth

bianca: acts of service / early morning snuggles where she wakes up before her partner and just kind of flops onto them, admiring their peaceful face 

valeria: quality time / carrying her partner home after a long day, knowing they trust her to hold them

cyrus: physical touch / carefully brushing or braiding his partner’s hair, or them doing the same for him

seekr112: quality time / sitting tangled together on the couch with their partner, both of them doing their own thing in quiet

alone / with a partner

bianca: blanket thief, rolls around a lot during the night / loves to be the little spoon

valeria: wakes easily, sleeps on her side / likes when a partner lays their head on her shoulder or chest

cyrus: starfish sleeper, should not be woken up before 10 AM / still starfish sleeper, MC is his mattress now sorry

seekr112: sleeps on their stomach with their head under the pillow / big spoon all the way

MC will learn more about this over the course of the story, so i don't want to give too much away now, but! some general notes:

-a ghost is thought to be the preserved impression of a person that's remained over time

-a ghost will typically be attached to an object or place which has special significance to them, sort of like a fingerprint left on something

-a ghost can become attached to a living person's essence or being and in those cases will become more or less dependent on that living person depending on the living one's personality and behaviors

cyrus: would definitely suggest this as a plan- is very into this as a method of subterfuge, to the point where any potential threat has long gone and he's still making out with mc sldjfnsdk... also most likely to try this excuse to get more kisses later like. he and mc could be sitting in his apartment alone and he'd be all 'oh no, i think we're being surveilled... maybe we should kiss? ;)'

i want you all to know this question has been giving me so much psychic damage all day-

bianca: doesn't look back. she has unshakable faith that mc is with her now and always

valeria: makes it almost to the end and then turns back to look in a moment of uncharacteristic self-doubt

cyrus: has to look- needs to see that mc is there, is incapable of not looking to make sure

seekr112: doesn't look back bc they basically sprint out and then stand there with their eyes closed until mc can reassure them it's safe to look
