thank god they kept the part from the novel where xie zheng essentially threatens the emperor's authority because he Can. "go back and tell that young emperor: if he no longer wishes to sit on the throne any more, i can easily find someone else to take his place." it's a lot less obvious in the drama because the novel expands more on Who Exactly the marquis of wu'an is, but in the novel it really shows how powerful xie zheng is.

i know she's supposed to be this ditzy, out-of-touch heiress character who's secretly useful in some way (and will probably have some redemption arc with her denouncing her family) but i really don't like kang nora right now. she was fine when they were living in a dorm together and working the same way but her privilege in these few eps vs the way keum-bo is trying so hard to see justice served for the hanmin employees, go bok-hee is salvaging whatever she can from what's happening now to give herself a better life and mi-sook is lying comatose in bed is just so apparent. i can't say i hate her because she isn't cruel or evil the way her family is but watching her get so much handed to her on a silver platter, although she doesn't like it, while everyone else is fighting for something is just so.......
