Of course I’m not fine with this, but what do you expect me to do? You told me this would happen, you already left me before, but I still couldn’t push you out of my heart. You promised me you would change; and yet here we are. I don’t have anything left to give you to make you stay with me. Whatever you had wasn’t enough. I’m sorry.

Jason, I’m not completely dumb; anyone with a decent set of eyes could tell that you were losing interest.

Jason took Luciano’s hand and stood, trying to keep the cubs on the ground. “So damn cute,” he murmured, kissing Luciano’s ear. “Like you.”

"Not cute, fearsome." He murmured, reaching down to grab the cubs by the nape of their necks and move them back over to their cage. "Definitely fearsome!"

Jason wrapped his arms around his waist. "Definitely cute."

Jason just smiled and played with the cubs. “Alright then. These things are so goddamn cute.”

Luciano chuckled and watched him with a smile. “Yeah, they are.” He murmured, getting up and offering Jason a hand. “Come on, Selveggia is about to nurse the cubs, she wants privacy.”

Jason took Luciano's hand and stood, trying to keep the cubs on the ground. "So damn cute," he murmured, kissing Luciano's ear. "Like you."

"You sure?" he asked. "I’d hate for you to be… Not okay and me not know."

"No no, don’t worry. I’m fine." He smiled and kissed his cheek. "Thank you for your concern."

Jason just smiled and played with the cubs. "Alright then. These things are so goddamn cute."

Jason snorted. “Of course,” he said, pressing his lips to his jaw. “I mean… Dick move of him anyways.”

Luciano nodded slightly, looking Jason up and down silently. Not in front of family was what he felt like saying, but to be fair, it was just a kiss. Just a kiss from Jason. That usually escalated to sex. Sex and then cuddle. Cuddle then sex. It was a ritual. What happened when Jason got tired of that? The thought made his stomach clench in knots.

Jason took Luciano’s face into his hands and kissed his nose. “Hey, what’s up?” he asked. “You okay?”

"Nothing. Just a bit concerned about the cubs and the act tonight." Luciano said, internally worried about how easy the lie came to his lips. Since when did he lie? He shouldn’t. "Nevermind. That’s not true." Yeah it wasn’t true, but he didn’t want to tell him. "I’ve just got some things I need to think about."

Jason held him tightly. “You sure? Hey, you know you can talk to me…about anything,” he said.

"Yeah, I know." Luciano smiled and kissed his nose lightly. "Don’t worry, its nothing important. Really."

"You sure?" he asked. "I'd hate for you to be... Not okay and me not know."
