It’s been a year when in the vastness you appeared just as you are and underneath the satellites you held her in your arms like all else was a blur except her – she found a safe haven. She said she has seen the stars in your eyes and the sun in your soul. She let her emotions pour out because she couldn’t contain it, there’s so much joy in her heart which makes her pen bleed on the paper when she writes you. You let your trembling voice be heard but it’s music to her ears. You brushed your fingers through her face and whispered those words that no one said and meant before. She wore a smile and thought her cheeks would crack, but they shone as luminous as the stars. With stolen glances, there’s a supreme silence apart from the gentle squeeze of her hand in yours, the stitch of your heart with hers. Everything’s fine as long as she’s next to you. The flowers have already dried, she has kept them at the counter because its petals meant promises. And even if a ripple turns into waves, then waves turn into hurricanes, these things she’s going to step through in this journey are small enough because she knows the both of you are bigger than that. You know, right here lies paradise, you’re her constant.
