Through out the manga you can really get the sense Raihan does not like Rose let alone trust him, he calls him a “skeevy old man” and gets annoyed by him real fast when he acts like a child

Hell Raihan even called Rose wanting to invoke the darkest day for his own ambitions WAY sooner than everyone else back at the vault.

But the most interesting thing about all this is that Raihan also reveals that he’s had this feeling since he was a KID

Apparently breaking into Rose’s Powerplant enough times that he knew the layout, security, and that even certain doors can not be broken into with Pokemon Moves

Then when confronting Rose after the outbreak that shook Hammerlocke, Rose acknowledges that Raihan might be a bit of an issue with how much he does his research into people

And another interesting part in their conversation is when Rose says how he knew Leon wouldn't break in even without Raihan’s intervention, in a subtle way he says "Leon knows his place."

It seems for a long time now Raihan and Piers both have not trusted Rose fully, even after they became Gym Leaders.

But Raihan being from Hammerlocke and Rose essentially setting up base in Hammerlocke it made it hard for the two to move without rousing too much suspicion in each other

It really intensifies their dynamic and its super neat

This part though just makes me laugh, while Rose is spewing crocodile tears Raihan just laughs

Still kinda like this stupid comic
