Mo Richard was a minneapolis-based tattoo artist who died suddenly 2 years ago due to an aortic aneurysm. She was an amazingly talented artist, super badass, && a unique and wonderful person that brought joy to the lives of everybody that knew her.
One art project she had been working on before her passing was her own tarot deck. She completed the major arcana, and had thoroughly planned the minor arcana. Using her notes, 40+ artists have collaborated to complete her vision, honor her life’s work, and to show their love for Mo.
I was tattooed by Mo in 2015, && I feel incredibly lucky to be able to carry a piece of her art with me wherever i go. Even though i didn’t know her well, I will always miss running into her around town. She had a calming presence and a great sense of humor, && a love for all things creepy and bizarre that i could really relate to. It goes without saying that it would mean a lot to me, to the countless people that loved her, && to the amazing artists who poured their hearts into this deck if y’all supported && backed this project, and shared with anyone who might be interested 🖤
