Now that we’re so close to the holidays, what’s better than a release to celebrate? 

I love Ichikawa Ichi’s stories (what a surprise, huh?), so it’s been a delight to work on “Reset”. You’re gonna fall in love with those 3 characters just as with the Tadaima ones, even if the kind of story sensei tells this time is waaaay different. And even if Sou is sickeningly jealous. Maki is wonderful and Touma is really cute. I'll say no more, I'll let you discover and judge them by yourselves. Oh, and get ready for volume 2, “Reboot”, the tanko must be around the corner, judging by what’s published.

As it’s usual lately, I’ve included several illustrations I have, hope you like them ;)

About this project, I must say I dared to translate it, as Adamay suggested me. Be thankful that the final text is COMPLETELY checked by her, because the story would be a totally different one.

If you see this posted, please know that this is the nth time I’ve tried to post this. For some unknown reason, our internet has been wonky these past few weeks and they’ve announced that they’re going to undergo some huge maintenance work on the 25th up until the end of the month. That being said, I might not be able to answer any queries up until things get sorted with them. This is also the reason why I can’t answer any dms at the moment (literally nothing loads). 

Anyway, SUSUME!!! THE ONODXKAMIYAN SHIP STILL SAILS STRONG IN 2020.

Man, I swear that I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for this series. I kind of owe it my life, so I decided that I would do my best to scanlate this once everything was out. This was the first BLCD I’ve listened to without the aid of a manga since it was novel-based. A big shout-out to Namonai for translating the BLCD back then. I’m not sure what they’re all doing now, but I hope them the best. 🙇‍♀️ It was so fun to translate this by myself first and then check with Namonai’s translations if they were the same. Y’all I’ve grown. 😭😭😭 But not by much since the extra novel was a complete disaster.

Speaking of the novel and the BLCD, manga!Hasebe is much more stoic than how OnoD portrayed him, so I felt a little weird while working on this. Hasebe-kun was the OG get-you-a-man in the BLCDs, but he was too stoic in the manga. It kind of reminds me of what happened to Kanawanu Koi’s BLCD, but reversed. I don’t think this was on Miike Romuco’s art because they also did the illustrations for the novel and BLCD. The Hasebe-kun and even the Yomura-san in the illustrations were more expressive, I think. Idk. There were also a lot of addends/changes to the dialogues and the order of the events were majorly rearranged, so I don’t think it would be possible to read this while listening to the BLCD. I’d suggest listening to the BLCD while reading Namonai’s translation then reading the manga after that. Listening to OnoD’s portrayal of Hasebe-kun might make you like/understand his character a bit more imo and I implore you to do so if you’re a Shizaya/EruRi/MidorimaAkashi/OnoDKamiyan fan like moi.

What would you do if you were in Yomura-san’s shoes? And if you were to choose between having Kaoru’s string seeing powers and Yomura-san’s thought hearing one, which would you choose? Ngl, if I was given Yomura-san’s, my ass would just fall into insanity. Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy reading this and let’s all hope that I’d have the motivation to finish volume two. I’ve actually been working on this ever since the day it had been released, but as the cleans were so hard for me (esp the goddamned toned bubbles for the thoughts), I’ve dropped this many many times. 😂

I have actually translated chapters 1-3 a long time ago when this was still being released in Drap, so when I saw this on sale, I used the money I had saved up for Koi ga Kakareba Iro ga Saku on it. 😂 Now, you may be thinking, ANOTHER DK STORY, CHESKA???

For this good chonky girl, I would do anything. Even if it was to translate this cute work through it’s untimely decline in plot quality. Ya girl really woke me up from that micro-mini hiatus I had (but I might stick to BLCD reviewing for a while after this). Also, I didn’t clean this all the way through because it’s too hard for me and I’m a little lazy. 😂 I did give my best to clean pages/panels that had Kinoko in it, though. HAHAHA

This manga had a dog, a cat, and a precious granny! It was almost a slam dunk for me who loves animals and seniors! I’d love to take on more works that are more focused on those two things, but I wish that they’re umm… better written, too. 😂 They were really trying to make Kinoko and Fukusuke out to be Yousuke and Shuu in animal form, but Kinoko isn’t… a wishy washy little shit. Anyway, if you’re in for something light, I guess that reading this wouldn’t be so bad.
