Marika Rökk was an Egypt-born Austrian-German singer, dancer and actress of Hungarian descent, who became famous in German films notably in Nazi Germany during the second world war. She first gained prominance in Paris in the 1920s starring as a dancer at the Moulin Rouge with the “Hoffmann Girls.” This clip from the 1958 German musical film, Buhne Frei Fur Marika.

In “Mir ist so langweilig,” Marika is an alien girl who steals a spaceship and heads for earth, where she dances with snakes, elephants and African natives. Just another boring day in the life of a german alien girl. The sets and art direction are fantastic.

Error: -69853: Boot file not written

So, I was trying to convert the regular JHFS+ volume into a CoreStorage LV and got this error message.

After some digging, I found out OS X was likely trying to rebuild the kernel extension cache on the volume and was failing. If you are getting this message, you should ensure your kext cache can be rebuilt without errors (try running kextcache utility in the terminal). 3rd party drivers can cause problems, so you should move them out of the way temporarily. If you are trying to convert/encrypt a secondary (external) drive that was cloned from your primary drive, and you don't care about booting from there, you can just nuke the /System folder on that drive.
