Oh, I wouldn’t really say that was ‘disneyfying’ the DCEU. Disneyfying the DCEU looks more like this:

Stop treating children like they’re idiots? Would you let a four year old get a tattoo? Would you let them stay over at a friends house whose family you haven’t met? For fucks sake the kid barely got to the cognitive stage wherein they can recognize themselves in a mirror, there are mammals in the world that are thought to be smarter than a 4 year old. A four year old would eat dirt and pet a crocodile thinking it’s a kitty; they’re incapable of making permanent choices! 

Do you question cis children is also a real stupid question man, what the shit. That’s a mammal child with next to no defined biological sexual markers, “deciding” said markers don’t fit with societal frames of expectations that they couldn’t possibly have understood to any serious level as of yet. A cis child doesn’t commit to a massive change that has serious medical, social and developmental effects. There is no massive risk that the child is undertaking in the case of a cis child, so of course I wouldn’t question them as highly; suspicion and precaution are always proportional to the risk at hand; how could that possibly shock and offend you? . 

Call it trans activism, call it gender dysphoria, call it the child finding xemself, it doesn’t fucking matter. It’s a child! You wouldn’t let them eat dessert before the fucking vegetables but you’d let them start hormone treatments? What an inane and selfish person do you have to be use your own child to make a point in such a permanent way. 

You wouldn’t let the kid get a tattoo, because it’s a permanent choice and they shouldn’t make it until they’re old enough to know for sure it’s what they want. You wouldn’t let a 4 year old have sex, because there is no way in fucking hell if God himself came and asked for their hand in holy matrimony that a 4 year old can consent, can comprehend the weight of sexual activity or can even perform sexual bodily operations. Even if they come to you with all the coherence and seriousness they can muster, you tell them no, you’re much too young to make a decision about this and actually have the capacity to mean it; and then you take them to the zoo because they like to look at the pretty birdies. 

You don’t slap on the bubblegum-pink hair dye, dress them in some pink clothes and decide in their stead that their non-existent sexuality doesn’t match with the gender roles society (hasn’t even yet) assigned.
