UNFORTUNATE SOULS

so, i thought i’d have something long to say to you, but i don’t. i’m not going to waste the time. but here are three things i feel need to be said. 1, you had no right to delete spelled. you didn’t put a damn bit of work into that rp, whereas i spend HOURS setting the theme and coding it and writing the pages. it was not yours to delete, and you should have come to me first, whether i was still in it or not, it. was. not. yours. 2, from the begining i had a bad feeling about you, and i should have listened to my  gut. you were at the source of every major problem the rp faced, and honestly are why i left instead of trying to balance it and school. and 3, please never join another roleplay of mine again, you will never be welcome.

i admit, i wasn’t perfect, and i had my faults with spelledhqs, it was a learning experience, but folks, when you have a gut feeling LISTEN 👏 TO 👏 IT 👏i want to apologize to everyone hurt by spelledhqs, i know i played a part, and in no way am i excusing that, but the biggest mistake i made was trusting ally, who has blocked me on discord so i can’t send her this message myself.

Molly, I’m sorry Ally deleted spelled rather than admit she was wrong and deal with the consequences. You didn’t deserve that. I know you put a lot of work into the group, and to just have it deleted like that sucks. 

Rosie winced at his description, for even if he was correct in some aspects, she didn’t want him to be. “it doesn’t seem to matter now. Whatever we had clearly didn’t do it for her. I misread things, made it up in my mind. Even if she’s cruel, i’m the idiot here. Funny, isn’t it?” Her words were tinged far too bitter for her own liking, but his next words stopped her outright. Rosie looked over, really looked at him for a moment or three, trying to discern him. “Why’s that? Everyone’s worth knowing in some way good or bad.” And an afterthought — “I happen to be very tired of what most people think. Especially in this castle.” A mistake probably, but she carried on all the same. “Am I supposed to hate you for all of this? Resent you? I haven’t really decided how I feel about it, if i’m being honest. It all just…really sucks.”

“I don’t think you’re the idiot in all of this,” Damien shrugged, telling the truth for once. He took a sip of tea and winced at the taste. Why did people drink this stuff? Setting down the mug, he braced his hands on the counter and stared at Rosie hard. He was good at reading people, at getting to know their real thoughts and desires. As he sized her up, he realized she was telling the truth. It was a bit foolish of her, really, but telling her that wouldn’t do either of them any good. “It’s not just the stuff with Viola. Who I am, where I come from, what I can do...those aren’t things people are usually comfortable with. I do my best to help people who are in need, but some people don’t see...anything about me, in that kind of helpful light.”

Viola said nothing in response, she didn’t have it in her for another screaming match with him, not today. Not after starting the morning with a monster hangover and then getting into it with her brother, over him. “Except I never accused you of doing any of this, just of knowing something. And your reaction proved me right.” That bit of clarity had come to her after, much much after she’d finished despairing over the hurt it had all caused her. They had ended things, it was over. It was nerve wreaking for her to feel this way. For Viola who had the gift of goodbye and could end things with anyone be it a friend, an ex, or a past hook up she was done with, without so much as a backward glance. 

“It didn’t prove anything. Do you even know what the definition of proof is? God, I can’t believe I was fooling around with someone this dense.” He kicked at a bunch of rocks, watching them sky rocket away. It didn’t bring him any satisfaction, though. Now, his foot hurt. “You jumping to conclusions and overreacting when you have absolutely nothing to go off just gives credence to my theory. You wanted an out from whatever was going on between us. It’s easier for you to blame me and walk away than it is for you just admit you got tired of fooling around with me.”

Rafe had volunteered to clean up the bar on the main floor. It was the only option where he could get something out of helping out, so he jumped on it. A lot of the bottles had been smashed with the “earthquake” but a few were salvageable. He bent to pick up an intact glass decanter filled with amber liquid. A quick sniff told him it was whiskey, so he turned the stopper and took a long swig directly from the bottle. He used a foot to begin halfheartedly pushing all the glass pieces into a pile when the sound of footsteps came from behind him. 

Sitting on the sand with her legs tucked up under the oversized sweater she wore, the dark haired girls stared out at the quiet sea, wishing she could swim and keep swimming until she was somewhere far away. Hearing the very familiar voice come up behind her she put her down for a moment, cursing her luck for what felt like the umpteenth time this past month. “I recall someone asking to stay away, yet you turn up at my party.” She said shaking her head not yet turning to look at him. “I knew you were an ass but that dare was low.” 

“I had a friend or two in attendance. Don’t I deserve to let loose?” Damien shot back, not amused by her throwing his words back in his face. He had wanted her to stay away in the moment, but it was much harder than he thought to stay away from her. “Oh? Was it? Lower than accusing me of having something to do with the latest disaster? I think the kiss was nothing compared to that.”
