Define the Undefined.

When you love people, you want what’s best for them, and sometimes what’s best for them isn’t you.

Sometimes the things that you are too scared to say, are the things someone’s been waiting to hear.

We’re just afraid, period. Our fear is free floating. We’re afraid this isn’t the right relationship, or we’re afraid it is. We’re afraid they won’t like us, or we’re afraid they will. We’re afraid of failure or we’re afraid of success. We’re afraid of dying young or growing old. We’re more afraid of life than we are death.

He looked at me and said, “Do you ever feel like you’re working for something you’re never going to get? The shoot-and-miss kind of deal. We like talking to people from our past because it brings back memories. The kind of memories that we stored away for a rainy day. Now, while the memories may be both good and bad, it still warms our heart to remember.

Sometimes, it’s just too difficult to care, because if you care more than you know you should, it hurts worse when you’re let down. Sometimes it’s just easier to not give a damn. Then when something does work out, it’s a nice surprise and nothing has been ruined. And that’s when we smile the most.

Some things may be nothing for us, yet it could mean the world to others. Similarly, some things may be easy for us, yet so painful for others. Realize this and know why at times forgiveness comes hard. Take care of other people’s feelings, because sorry is not always an effective remedy.
