noël à la plage avec mon bébé / christmas at the beach with my baby

When I imagined the Christmas markets in France I never imagined anything as incredible as this; markets that sell such a great range of products, such as toys, decorations, sweets, crepes (of course)... in short, you can find almost anything here. And if you get fed up of all the crowds surrounding the markets, you can go for a stroll and admire the lights that illuminate the streets. Even Scrooge would enjoy Christmas if he came to Strasbourg during Christmas time!
Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg à l’heure dorée / at golden hour

Hi everyone!
I guess I ought to introduce myself and explain a little why I’ve decided to create this blog
So, my name is Brittany, I’m 21 years old and I’m currently an Erasmus student at the University of Strasbourg. As part of my undergraduate degree in “Modern Languages”, I have the opportunity to spend a year in a French-speaking, Spanish-speaking or German-speaking country. As cliché as it sounds, I always wanted to live in France so I knew straight away that I was going to spend my year here. I picked to study in Strasbourg for two reasons: firstly, the photos that I saw online of the city looked INCREDIBLE, and second my German level wasn’t the greatest and I wanted to be able to improve it without having to actually live in Germany; Strasbourg was my calling!
I’ve also decided to create a blog for two reasons: the first is so that I have a space where I can document and share some of my experiences I have throughout the year. The second is so that I get more used to writing more fluently in French so that it’s a bit easier to write my research project (yes it’s nerdy allow)
So I mean if you’d like to stay updated with what I’m up to/what I post, follow my blog!
Merci Ă tous/thank you!
