May i have a link to how Y/N met Soleil and Atlas? I am not sure where to look for that origin.
There sadly is not a link for that yet because I have not finished writing it! It's going to be a mini fic called "The Lions Meet the Lamb."
But basically, you run into each other on campus the first time (literally) and Atlas and Soleil are basically kind of surprised how you act. They think it's nothing and that the moment wouldn't matter, but you keep running into each other in a variety of circumstances, and eventually, as they get bullied, you start showing up to try and stop it (while also getting bullied yourself.) Soleil starts getting protective of you and Atlas just gets interested in general wondering about you. This leads to Soleil breaking up with Atlas to get to know you more because he is having complicated feelings and needs to figure them out and doesn't want to drag Atlas around with him while he does (he does this anyways.) And then they snap and then the beginning of the fic starts!
It will get finished one day! But for now, I'm still working on it!

I request a sort of ‘Au Discussion’ of sorts. An au of your au. Because I am odd and my mind wont drop the concept.(My mind is all over the place so pls bear with me)
There is a genre of media that I love and adore! In simple terms i refer to it as ‘Borrower au’s. If your willing to search it and risk seeing nsfw it is called Micro/Macro. I believe the softer versions are called Giant/Tiny or G/T (i havent looked much into the specifics. i just skim the edges). These have characters that very obviously -as im sure you can guess based off of the name- have extreme hight differences. And specifically, ‘Borrowers’ originate from a book series that center around a family of three ,that live in the walls of human. The three of which “borrow” supplies needed to survive.
There have been many movies that expand on this concept. One even being a studio Ghibli production, “The secret life of Ariettie” (i def spelled it wrong).
NOW!! Ive gotten my hyperfixation speal out of the way; my curiosity is:
What if Soleil and Atlas’ Yn was a variant of Borrower? A humanoid person that is no taller than a few inches. Whom lives in the walls.
I am unsure how yn met Atlas and Soleil in KYwK (and I shall ask that separately), But I assume that it wouldnt at all the same with y/n being confined to a single space. Would Y/n origonally be hidden in Soleil’s familial home? Or would they be living at the walls of the university? Or simply, a random house that ‘Sun and Moon’ visited during a spree?
*oo now that would be interesting. It would be a whole other story pace!! With all the party goers murdered, the small borrower!yn tried to get out of the house. Only to stumble in the dark and land amist either sun or moons things and end up getting carried off back to their apartment. Dang that raises so much more possibilities!! i might have to just spit all of the possibilities down in a notes tab to get it out of my mind!
oh oh! but one more specific question on the borrower!yn subject!
Would borrower!yn just be killed by Soleil and/or Atlas? if so, Why? (i have many theories but im rambling)
Final note: Borrowers are not normally considered dirty. Only the ones who live outside may seem so very obviously. Borrowers usually have sophisticated outfits and living conditions where they ‘jerry rig’ things made for larger beings into more manageable items of their needs. i.e a needle as a sword. a fishing hook as a grappling hook. thread as rope, etc.
I actually know of Borrowers from Studio Ghibli's film "The Secret Life of Arrietty"!! I really love that film, it was lovely! I do know of a good amount of Studio Ghibli films, so I at least have that in the bag! I don't really look at much Micro/Macro or Giant/Tiny media, but I know it exists out there. And the concepts of Borrowers is really fun to me!
I feel like Borrower Reader would probably most likely be from Soleil's family home! And the meeting would be completely different! I feel like Soleil would probably see the reader one day and just scream before he got the chance to show Atlas and I think even Atlas would be very confused and not know what to do. You are so small and they think they are both hallucinating. But no, when Atlas gets a hold of you, you are definitely real, and he doesn't know what to do because why are there people so small in your house, Soleil? And Soleil doesn't know what to say to that.
If they were part of the homes of one of the sprees and got caught on one of Sun and Moon's things to bring back home for them to go back into Soleil and Atlas, I think they would be very very surprised to see little you in their things. Atlas probably has to assure Soleil that you are not a bug. But he doesn't know what you are and you probably just witnessed them killing a bunch of people, so probably a rocky start! it would be a whole different type of fic! And very interesting, too!
And no! They would not kill you. I don't think Atlas would have it in him to kill you honestly because you are just so small and helpless and he would honestly feel really bad if he just killed a random innocent not related to anything. Soleil wouldn't do it either because "Attie! They are just a little person! They've never done anything wrong; we can't hurt them!!"
They would probably try to take care of you because, well, what else would they do. They try to talk to you and figure out more about you and show you that (even though they kill people) they are harmless to you! Just don't walk on the floor when they are walking around because they are already giants to normal sized people. You are so tiny it would take nothing for them to accidentally squash you. I think Soleil would work really hard trying to make little clothes for you while Atlas would try to figure out how to cook for someone so tiny. They would probably work on projects to make life in their apartment more livable for you and would let you see that outside their apartment is unfortunately not going to be very good for you to roam around. They might take you places in their pockets to let you see the world around you and let you go on adventures, but at the end of the day, the world is dangerous, they'd prefer you stick around somewhere safe. They can make a safe space for you.
Ask for the OG slasher or Creatures, Reader being a secret magical girl? (Kinda Like precure or Please please please I don't wanna be a magical girl)
I do not know these two medias, but I can do general magical girl? (The most I know about magical girls is old sailor moon, and I haven't watched that since the early 2000s.)
To the Slashers, Atlas and Soleil think you are insane. What do you mean? That's insane, no way. If you transform or anything, they still think it's insane and that they are seeing things or that it's all some big dream. They are going to try to go to bed and hope they wake up and things are different. They don't believe it for a long time and once they do, they still think it's crazy because why? Why are you a magical girl? It makes no sense please come back to reality and don't make them question theirs. It's already a wild ride for them in their life with their choices.
With the creatures, it is very simple. You must be part Fae and they didn't sniff it out right away. They are confused because you never smelled of magic, but this is clearly Fae stuff. No way it's not Fae stuff. They are going to ask a lot of weird little questions and try to understand your magic to compare it to what they know. It will be interesting.
What if the reader is emotionally resilient and tough?
What if they don't cry or panic in public, only allowing themselves to show weakness when they're alone?
Essentially, they display mistrust, but in a more subtle way
Soleil and Atlas will assume you want space and don't want to share what is going on in your mind. Soleil will be sad about it, but tries to give you your space. Atlas is fine with it until you get closer and he can tell you are hiding things from them like big feelings, especially during the sprees. Eventually they are going to poke and prod.
Atlas tries not to show weakness either. He tries to keep his outer feelings to angry or neutral, maybe happy or a bit content when with you or Soleil, but showing his other deeper feelings is not what he likes to do, even if he sometimes fails on trying to keep everything under the wraps with working with a mind that is plagued by insomnia and doesn't have full function for him to successfully hide those emotions he hates all the time.
Soleil is used to feelings being stuff down with Atlas, so he won't be surprised if you do it too, but they both hope one day you'll let down your guard and be weak in front of them. It would help Atlas a ton to be weak in front of you in return.
It isn't so much a sign of mistrust with Atlas as it is a sign of him being uncomfortable with his own feelings. But if it's mistrust with you, they try extra hard to gain more of your trust.
