This rose is supposed to be tolerant of partial shade and take well to container gardening. I’ve not decided if I’ll plant it in the ground or find it a container yet. I’m very new to roses - until recently I refused to plant any because they get every disease, are eaten by every bug, and are generally a pain… but I’m a sucker for fragrance so here we are. Hope you don’t die, buddy.

Tourniquet of roses is on January 1 when they tie a rose around your leg to keep you from bleeding out.

Ran across this confection in a Portuguese bakery, absolutely delightful. Ate the whole thing in one sitting. Went back for more, and all they had left was a bombe made from concentrated yellowcake powder.
