Just something from my head.
Life on the surface is always as it had been. It's a beautiful day, not too hot and certainly not too cold.
The curtains were drawn shut shielding the lump in the blanket from the beautiful world outside.
Boss had already been in the room, saying that they should get out from under the blanket. He didn't talk in usual demanding tone, it was softer. He was worried. He didn't press them about it anymore and left them to their own devices. They didn't want him to worry, the poor skeleton had enough to worry over with his brother and his guards.
The lump in the bed shifted rolling over to lay looking at the ceiling, nothing new in it and it's a little duster than usual. When was the last time they dusted it? Was it usually so cold in their room? It made them not want to leave the warm blanket, but they had to get up. They couldn't just mope in bed all day. What would Papyrus think?
Finally the blankets came off of the bed and they got up, their bones groaning from not getting up in so long. They were going to get up and do something. Anything at this point, even if they had to force themselves to do it. It was a small step, followed by another and another until they were at the door.
The cold and clammy hand hesitated at the door knob, they wondered if the could just go back to bed. In and out came their breath in an even manner.
Through gritted teeth and screwed shut eyes they grabbed the door knob and flung it open. Using that new found energy they made their way downstairs and to the kitchen.
The tall skeleton hunched over the dinning nursing a cup of coffee no doubt gone cold by now. He looked distraught, he had his head resting on his hand in seemingly deep thought.
They cleared their throat alerting the monster to their presence. He all but jumped out of his seat as he turned too look at them. Their dark eyes met this little pinpricks in his hollow sockets.
Both remained silent, almost like the were afraid if they spoke the other would disappear.
Slowly the skeleton got up from his seat, and opened his arms to them.
That was all it took from them to go crashing into him. He held them tightly in his embrace, glad they were finally able to come around to him once again.
Out of all of the skeletons I picture Boss (Underfell!Papyrus) to be the most loyal to the point of being toxic (honestly most fell relationships have that potential)
If his partner is depressed, he won't know how to cheer them up or anything, in fact he figures yelling will do the job. He'll be at a losd when it doesn't but he will stay.
He will sit by and hope to anything that you'll come around. He let you in and he can't stand the thought of it all going up in smoke.
Unlike his brother he won't change for his partner, but he will always be the for them.
