Blue for World Diabetes Day. World Diabetes Day is the primary global awareness campaign focusing on diabetes mellitus and is held on 14 November each year. Why is November 14th World Diabetes Day? November 14th is a significant date in the diabetes calendar because it marks the birthday of the man who co-discovered insulin, Frederick Banting, he discovered insulin in 1922, alongside Charles Best. People with type one diabetes, like me,can't live without insulin. So we wear blue. 💙 I'm eternally grateful, and I'm proud to always have constellations on my fingertips. #type1diabetes #beyondtype1 #worddiabetesday (at Planet Earth) https://www.instagram.com/p/B42r0SLBerR/?igshid=nf40apge6hcn
