It was like 7-8pm, close to closing time because I was vacuuming the women's changing room. The front of our store was a huge glass window, so you could see people walking by, the parking lot— hell, the street and traffic even. Big ass window.

I walked out of the changing room and glanced at the front window (sunset, boredom— who knows), and I had to do a double take.

There was a clown. With a fucking kitchen knife. Like a big chef's knife.

Standing directly in front of our window, pressed right up against the glass.

I screamed, unfortunately 😅, and my coworkers freaked out and stopped what they were doing to watch; he'd started slowly pacing back and forth across the front of the store— one side of the window, across the doors, stops at the edge of the window, then walks back across. All while occasionally tapping or dragging the knife across the glass, and jostling the door.

For whatever reason my coworkers freaked for a second and just went back???? To closing????? They ignored it.

Then he tried to come IN to our store, and even held the knife up to an elderly couple leaving the store.

REAL kitchen knife, by the way.

My manager kicked him out ( dude didn't talk either, he just stood there acting like some horror movie killer before backing out slowly) and afterwards he just stood there in front of our locked door, staring and doing weird shit with the knife.

Our store is directly next to a grocery store, so someone saw him and called the cops.

All the cops did was take his knife and 'shoo' him away. Didn't even take the mask.

Mind you, I lived in a very quiet small town. Most of the drama came from teens doing shitty graffiti on the local ice cream building and drunk drivers.

This happened in like fucking August.

I had NO other clown incident the entirety of 2016.
