        the  gardens  paled  in  comparison  to highgarden’s, but the fresh air was pleasing enough as was the solitude. his duties as ruling lord would soon call him back inside, but for a brief moment he both desired and needed a moment to breathe. however, the sound of footsteps told him that he wasn’t the only one with that idea in mind. unfortunately. he almost didn’t turn around, hoping they weren’t after conversation, but he was here representing the reach; he could be rude. so he glanced over at the person and nodded in greeting.        ❝  the keep too crowded?  ❞

willem   could   not   help   but   laugh   and   nod   at   the   other’s   question.   it   was   odd   with   how   crowded   his   home   was,   but   that   wasn’t   new   and   unknown   like   how   the   red   keep   was.   “yes,”   willem   answered,   nodding   back   at   the   other.   “i   find   it   almost   funny   with   how   crowded   the   port   is,   but   this   is   somehow   overwhelming.”   he   looked   over   the   gardens,   bored   with   the   colors   and   different   flowers.   “the   keep   too   crowded   for   you   as   well?”

Rhaegar stood alone, watching as more nobles arrived at the Red Keep. He was dreading it, to be honest, the idea of having to do small talk with these nobles to appear respectful, he was not looking forward to that. Which was why he wasn’t planning on having a lot of interaction with others, planning on keeping to the library or his chambers as much as possible, only coming out when absolutely necessary. He was certain no one would notice his absence anyways.Rhaegar was off to the side, he wasn’t there to receive or welcoming anyone, he was trying to go unnoticed though, although the silver hair and the eye patch were a dead giveaway to his identity, earning a few curious looks from some of the nobles arriving. The footsteps were the first thing he heard when he noticed someone approaching. A small sigh escaped his lips, knowing that he would have to make small talk to a noble who he most likely didn’t even remember the name of.  “Welcome to our beloved capital. I certainly hope you enjoy your stay and our hospitality.” 

helaena   was,   and   always   had   been   an   extrovert   and   maybe   even   a   people   pleaser.   today   was   no   exception,   the   princess   was   wearing   one   of   her   newest   gowns,   her   hair   curled   and   twirled   on   top   of   her   head,   a   small   tiara   and   of   course   her   most   genuine   smile.   she   was   enjoying   the   new   faces,   the   different   fashion   and   of   course   giggling   with   some   of   the   more   handsome   lords.   maybe   she   would,   after   all   this   time,   be   married   off.   she   saw   her   brother   off   in   the   corner,   she   excused   herself   before   picking   up   her   gown   and   walking   over   to   him.   she   bumped   him   with   her   elbow   before   leaning   in   to   him.   “how   are   you   fairing   brother?”   she   asked   softly.

𝐭𝐨  𝐭𝐡𝐞  𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡  𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬  ,  𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬  landing  meant  an  awful  lot  of  things  .  it  mean  an  end  to  her  dornish  adventures  ,  an  end  to  swimming  in  the  fountains  of  the  water  gardens  ,  it  meant  the  end  to  her  martell  name  ,  well  partly  .  but  even  the  thought  of  a  betrothal  to  a  man  she  knew  nothing  of  save  his  name  and  the  whispers  of  travellers  .  but  despite  all  the  ends  that  met  at  kings  landing  ,  there  was  new  beginnings  on  her  horizon  ,  many  new  beginnings  .  she  cared  not  for  propriety  and  duties  ,  she  was  a  princess  ,  a  half  sister  to  the  heir  and  yet  ,  she  skirted  her  duties  always  in  favour  of  exploration  and  now  ,  without  greeting  the  westerosi  monarchs  ,  she’d  found  herself  lost  in  the  winding  halls  and  towers  of  the  red  keep  .  her  hands  trail  over  the  walls  and  windowsills  as  she  walks  ,  the  afternoon  glow  catching  the  glittering  jewels  on  her  dress  through  every  passing  window  .

       her  father  had  been  hesitant  to permit her to leave the red keep, always protective of his youngest daughter, but myrcella had learned very quickly when she was young that her father was also incapable of saying no to her. so it’d only taken a little pleading for him to acquiesce. the streets were lively and the market even busier. she fluttered about, eager to see it all, until a particular stand caught her attention. the table was full of a variety of silks and fabric, each seemingly more beautiful than the last. myrcella ran her hand over one in particular before glancing at the person beside her.        ❝  isn’t this fabric divine? it would make a lovely gown.  ❞
