rose x the doctor is such a weird ship honestly like i do not get it. like they do have chemistry or whatever but i just can't buy that a 900+ year old timelord would fall in love with a 19 year old???

like okay i can buy that for timelords age gaps aren't that big of a deal but literally within the same show by the same writer who came up with this ship in the first place the doctor refers to himself as a child at "only ninety years old". i can believe he cares for her more than any other person in the world or universe or whatever but just not romantic love.

don't really think the "humans and timelords mature at different rates" argument would work either because it's not like the doctor is some freshly out of school brand new adult either they're well into their adulthood and fought a war for like several hundred years before they meet rose i just don't see how rose wouldn't seem really young for that kind of thing.
