What a weekend we had, right? We started with the Oscar pre-party thing, then ended it with Vanity Fair.

First of all, isn't it weird that they waited up until this point to make their red carpet debut? Why not on the Ghosted premiere or on the Golden Globes? Why did they wait until the biggest event's afterparty? She was there at the Ghosted premiere, they were there at the GG after party, why now?

Looking at those VF Fair videos and photos, I still have the same opinion and feeling about them as a couple. They don't look natural at all, and it always seems like they are doing everything for the camera. As if they are always playing a role. And I know, I know, that the most famous couple use their relationship for PR reasons too, which is totally fine. But where is the love? Why does everything seem so forced? I mean, we are supposedly talking about two people who are in love, married, and happier than ever.

They look really awkward in this video. They don't really know what to do. It got better when they started talking to someone, but when they are alone, it seems so unnatural, as if two acquaintances are standing next to each other. The kiss was awkward too, similar to the LA restaurant one. A little kiss on the mouth, and that's it. His face after the kiss was interesting too. He seemed happier before it happened. You can clearly see that when Chris realizes they are being recorded, he starts talking to her, while up until that point he was rather talking to someone else and not even looking at her. They always make sure somebody is watching them when they are about to show how much they "love" each other.

And I'd also like to talk about this gif (thanks to the person who sent it to me via DM), where you can clearly see he didn't want to pose with her but had to since she made him stay. They posed separately, and then he wanted to go, but she had a different idea.

People say they looked in love, but I don't see it. This was probably his best attempt to sell it, but I wouldn't say it was convincing. Of course he is not going to wipe his mouth; of course he will try harder. This is the VF party, not some kind of pap walk. This is the afterparty of the biggest event in Hollywood. More people will see these contents; more people will see them together. It's also to his benefit not to act like a jerk. But body language doesn't lie. Vibes don't lie. And theirs are always off when they are around each other. It's always hard to pinpoint the exact meaning of this, but the best way to describe it is as being awkward, uncomfortable, and strange. Or as if they always had a fight before they were being photographed and tried to play it off. And two people who are supposedly in love shouldn't give off these vibes or be acting like this.

The look of love:

The Con didn't do well in terms of exposure and advertising returns. The photos didn't go viral and the share was very limited. He didn't generate any excitement or interest in his projects or himself. Frankly, this is a very good indication that his image has taken a hit and the damage caused by this stunt is starting to become beyond repair. If they take too long to stop this, I don't think CE will recover from it because the label they've imposed will be stuck on him. And given how few interesting film offers he's getting these days, it's not looking good, in term of a futur rebranding. TBH, he killed his career by agreeing to take part in this and not walking away as soon as possible from such a contract. 

PR agencies work for their clients, not against them. Even if there are agencies (sports or entertainment) or agents behind them who often dictate things, it's our responsibility to ensure that the person's career isn't jeopardized, if only for pecuniary reasons. Because there's no point in working with someone who's no longer worth anything and who only evokes deep disgust in the GP. How can he sell what he has if nobody wants to see him anymore? (Jinx and ASP are currently paying the price right now). Plus, the strategy of constantly cleaning up to send out a round of contradictory PR stunts, each time driving away the few people left. What we're seeing is a reflection of the fact that no one in this PR show knows what they're doing, and more importantly, that the client in question doesn't know what he wants! 

Because the clearer someone's vision of their career, the more we can help him gets the results he wants. If the goal was to get away from Marvel and get prestigious opportunities, well, it's not going to happen! He's doing conventions to remind people where he came from and what he's known for, and the attempts to link him to more serious films aren't catching on with moviegoers who don't believe he's capable of delivering good performances in such films. Every time I look at the CE case, I can't help but exclaim: What the hell is going on?!

Nobody won anything in this thing. The agency put itself at risk by financing bad films and betting on a losing actress, while jeopardizing the career of one of their popular actors. So yes, there was a lot of publicity for various brands, but it was quickly forgotten as the incongruities of this relationship became more apparent.

PS : and I'd add that when someone famous wants a kid, they don't tell their fans beforehand that they're going to start to try. For private people, children are the most sacred things to protect in their lives, and they avoid talking about them so as not to endanger them. So if you see articles like this about them trying to have a child, it's pure PR! Look at how Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds tried to protect their last big one, and how annoyed they were when the media took an interest in them. You can deny it all you want, but you can't ignore the fact that these two are anything but a private couple. Anyone who works in PR can attest that these two are not a real couple and that no real couple acts like this. But once again, it's a question of choice. Either you choose to be fooled by the industry or you observe the actions of these people and realize that nothing makes sense. And that's that.//

Hi Sports anon! I'm the other PR person who's more into marketing brands so I of course understand every word you speak. I want to just add my two cents.

It is completely right what you're saying. The con showed a huge drop in numbers. I gauged the numbers in my own way by counting ops and seeing how many people posted their experiences, and it really wasn't much compared to finding so many more when I went back in google and typed in previous cons for him.

If we also look at the value of his autograph, I believe another blog pointed out , his auto sold for $250 a piece (per item) at NYCC, which was in October. Mind you this is before he even appeared with a ring and claimed he "kinda had two ceremonies" . From there, they had multiple pap walks and placing them at things (where they didn't belong) and more fake appearances that were deemed old, and then by March con his autograph was $260 for two items. This means his autograph dropped in value almost 50%. That's huge in just barely 5 months time.

It's interesting if the goal was pull away from the marvel brand, because not only is he advertised as that at cons, but directly after, we have an influx of articles talking about him in regard to none other than Marvel. It's almost like the Gemini in Chris is making this so back and forth. I can't imagine though someone wanting to continue this type of contract with someone so terrible. The names he's being called isn't worth the total destruction of your career.

It's been made very clear that no one has interest in him. I watched the panel and people are not exaggerating about the lack of interest from the audience, and the fact they were mostly just looking at their phones. He's not marketable. Officially. He's created nothing but anger and disgust when people see him, and yet here we are with some more articles trying to push the PR out (of course it's not being really pushed but even one or two it's once again doing this) One wonders what the goal is here. It was established the pair were apart, rings were missing from both for several posts, and now we have yet again an unreliable tabloid source claiming insiders say "they are trying." Again, like Above anon said, this is not information that a celebrity would ever share to a tabloid. And given Evans' tight knit circle twenty years, I don't think they're cracking now. Especially about something that even the most famous people keep private between them. Look at Halle Bailey, she kept her pregnancy completely hidden and even outraged fans because they deemed her a liar. That is the Hollywood machine people. No celebrity couple is going to reveal they are trying for a child. And hopefully no one buys into that.

However, one has to wonder why the team here is flip flopping so much. Is it to throw people off? Is it to create a shock factor? Then we add in this Mystery Elijah writer that has been very curiously timed with all the above . No PR team that wants a client to be successful, would continue to push this type of thing. It's very sad to watch, the fall of someone who was almost spotless in reputation.

A very out there theory but hear me out: Early on, the fandom had the general consensus DM was BS. Especially in regards to CE. Because DM was the one that first started spreading his super secret GF nonsense back in 2021, right before the introduction of Soba Saga. Her almost nonsensical rants about her having legit sources on this secret GF - while doing weekly podcasts where she insisted she never got any intel on him because his circle was so tight knit (interesting how that suddenly changed out of nowhere when someone showed up) - just made her seem like crazy cat lady gossip conspiracy Marjorie Taylor Greene on steroids.

She was the first to post that "dating Soba for over a year and everyone in PT/her circle knows about it" in early 2022.

They go public in late 2022. 2023 There's some Sunday Spotted (I could be wrong) vDAY post about CE and "fiancé" being seen in town at dinner (sounds very similar to the most recent vDay sighting). That was about 10 months before the super secret wedding and there had been no announcement of being engaged, minus the Tumblr blogs and random third rate tabloids and troll twitter accounts passing on the rumors. DM starts spreading around the same time some Tumblr blogs get the intel about secret engagement, wedding, rift in the family, people on his side not liking Soba, etc. Eventually it is revealed DM was right all along???? In a complete turn of events her credibility goes from zero to 1 (grudgingly of course, while she continues to spill BS daily)

Meanwhile, DM gets the first RPatz sighting with Scarlett and crew at dinner. Nobody believed it - as Nancy mentioned, it just seemed too farfetched with the way that restaurant was set up.

Then in early 2024 we get an actual RPatz sighting with with Soba/CE, and separately, sightings with Scarlett and Colin. Now there's more "credibility" to that random other sighting even if it still can't be proven.

Now...possible project with RPatz and CE's name circulating. Maybe just gossip fodder, maybe some truth to it. Time will tell. Coincidences once again.

DM gets the sighting of CE in LA with Russos. He actually confirms that one himself a month later.

Simultaneously, DM gets random sightings of CE doing other stuff where soba is not mentioned. Nobody knows really what to believe anymore.

But for every 15 BS things she posts, she actually gets 1-2 right. It starts to completely make her a hit or miss source but enough to get people riled up and worried if/when she gets something related to CE/Soba.

In a way, this strategy, if it were to have any salt to it, is kinda interesting. It also sort of enforces the idea of possible foul play. Because if CE is truly in such a happy, private, loveful relationship, why use somebody as uncouth as DM to throw out breadcrumbs? Especially since, in the past, his fanbase and most Tumblr blogs believed it was only legit if it came from someone like People Mag (his team's go-to). Ironically, Page 6 has been getting most of the exclusive scoops this time around, in addition to weird low rate tabloids that eventually make its way to the top.

I know I sound like crazy qanon conspiracy theorist, but I guess people see what they wanna see. But for the people who believe this relationship isn't as genuine as some want to believe, it kind of tracks that somebody's PR team pushing this out in ways to sort of make you wonder, question, and push back on the validity. Just enough to make you think, maybe, maybe there's something going on BTS that they're not saying but they're kinda telling. But you'll never know what the truth is. At least not for now.

I do find DM’s role since 2023 to be very interesting indeed. You missed nothing. Not one thing. She’s made herself be credible enough during this, but also, she’s questionable. So of course, take everything she says with a grain of salt.

I made this comment a bit ago to someone else, he still uses People. Who got the Jinx articles first. Think about that for a moment. He. Just him.

Now let’s compare them to actual recent photos that have happened within the last month…

Not only is his face more gaunt (and he’s way less tan) in the more recent photos, but he’s not really been seen without his glasses in a public setting since before the Ghosted premiere. (And didn’t his make-up artist say he has to wear them full-time now because he’s blind without them?)

Not saying the guy doesn’t have contacts, but why wear your glasses everywhere else but suddenly NOT in Portugal?

Nah, the photos from Portugal - most likely all of them - are from the same trip. Probably from before the backlash and racist and antisemitic allegations came out about her and her friends. My bet? That’s the last time he was over there doing these “spotted” stunts because most of 2023 and into 2024, he’s looked like shit and nothing like the guy from the other pics.

He needs the fandom more than he and his crew though.

Practically all celebrities need their fans more than they understand or are willing to admit. A vocal and engaged fandom is what turns a jobbing actor into a celebrity.

Not to be snarky, but think of the Kevin Bacon episode on Will & Grace. He knew he was in trouble when Jack stops "stalking" him.

I hope some people realize that if The day comes Ramen deactivates or officially deletes his IG, it is over. He has given up trying to engage with the public and that is when, fans, or remaining fans, should be worried. Because that means he no longer wants to try - forced or not.

Right now, deleting a few posts here or there is odd to some but probably has a reason behind it. I wish people would just wait. It’s getting annoying at this point.

Lastly. Ramen is still somewhat holding it together for the public despite the blatant and abhorrent negativity he continues to keep receiving. I commend him for that.

I’d like to see you get tagged in H*tler and N*zi and t*rrorist posts and get shamed for everything from you hair, face, nose, teeth, body, things you’ve said maybe out of context 15 years ago, and promotional pictures you took 8 years ago during a USO tour for a company you work for…and also being called P and G names from your own fanbase…and your friends, family, business partners, etc getting tagged into the same

I do agree with your comments. It is disheartening to see some posts that have been deleted/archived when they brought so much joy. But I’m sure there are reasons. I have a few ideas and thoughts. But what do I know for a fact?

I hope that he is actually taking care of himself while he waits for production on Honey, Don’t to start. It seems the snow with Dodger was a nice moment.

I do think that people have taken the USO tour pictures a bit too far. And to demand anyone, celebrities included, to speak on something is a bit strange for me. But maybe me being a millennial I look at things differently. I’m not excusing the actions during the USO tour, but if we can forgive old tweets and say people have changed, maybe we should have the same grace. Or even keep the same energy for the other person on that USO tour that signed as well. But still, almost a decade ago.

Seems as if some “newlyweds” are suddenly seen out solo with a friend at a comedy show and on a girl’s ski trip thus beginning the “I’m single” portion of the breakup story. Also, Chris was still relevant last year and one of the biggest celebs to get married compared to those who were consistently listed in every 2023 celebrity weddings lists, yet…….

Mr. chris Evans was missing from EVERY list, one magazine had to make a separate article with three other actors who got married because they knew fans were questioning why he wasn’t on any list, and ironically the three other guys mentioned in the article with Chris had wedding pics, separate articles and rep confirmation…..yet Captain America didn’t, AT ALL!

It’s hilarious to me because I feel had this actually been real, they wouldn’t have had to try to hard. Chris was hot commodity yet ever since she got in the picture……it’s all just toxic and crumbling.
