It’s not just competitiveness

It’s not just imitation.

It’s not just respect

This is the face of devotion.

This is not just some plain-old rivalry.

Izuku has rivalries, he has friends.

But Bakugou Katsuki is not just a rival, not just a friend, and not just a bully. Certainly, not just some childhood friend.

He is Izuku’s inspiration, the person closest to him who was put on a pedestal next to fucking All Might, Who was basically considered a god in the MHA universe before his retirement.

It’s not funny to say that Izuku’s admiration for Katsuki is just ‘Hero Worship’.

Because if Izuku ‘worships’ All Might, you should damn well Fear what he will do for someone closer than All Might, for Katsuki.

All Might asked Izuku to step into his shoes in the next Symbol- he broke his bones in the tournament to win

All Might said he always saves the people within his reach - Izuku nearly killed himself to secure Kouta and save Kacchan

All Might knows Izuku’s spirit and desperation is a fearsome thing. And Katsuki is threatened by it.

Izuku trying to save Kacchan…repeatedly, at the cost of his own damn life…

How he cried like his damn soul was ripped out of his body after Kacchan was taken away.

Tell me one more time that Izuku hates Katsuki, and I’ll show you a devotion beyond words.

Now…Imagine what Izuku would do if Katsuki asked something from him.

But you know what? Katsuki is never going to do that because he is the one person who is intimately aware of everything Izuku can sacrifice in the name of devotion.

And I for one, am really thankful that Katsuki will never dare ask anything of him.

You can call it his Pride. I’ll call it his Fear.

Because the one thing Katsuki fears above everything else is ‘Izuku’s Spirit’

People need to see deeper into the character.

There's more than surface value.

Bakugo's situation with haters was almost like Tony Stark's that it was not even funny.

Joe and Anthony Russo, the sibling directors who have worked with Downey on “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War” and the new “Avengers: Endgame,” say the Academy should finally recognize Downey for his Marvel Studios work — even if it means overcoming apparent bias against actors in superhero movies. (The late Heath Ledger is the only actor to ever win an Oscar for a superhero role, for 2008’s “The Dark Knight.”)

“His cumulative body of work from these movies is staggering,” said Joe Russo, while promoting the record-breaking “Endgame” this week in Washington. “If you look at the work over just even the last four [Marvel] films he’s done, it’s phenomenal. . . . He deserves an Oscar perhaps more than anyone in the last 40 years because of the way that he has motivated popular culture.“

The early “Iron Man” movies relied heavily on Downey’s quick-tongued charisma. But one benefit of “Endgame” running over three hours is that the directors are able to let scenes of emotional dialogue breathe between the battles. And because Downey’s character is given a textured arc involving multiple generations of family, the actor reminds viewers of his seemingly effortless range.

With some of his scenes, “it’s heartbreaking,” Joe Russo said. “He has the world in tears right now.”

“He has a very involved process — a more involved process than any actor we’ve ever worked with,” Anthony Russo said Tuesday. “He digs deeper, and he works harder than anybody. . . . Downey really just goes the extra mile for everything — it’s like everything he’s doing is something to his core.”

The actor is so kinetic in his on-set approach, in fact, that it can be a challenge for the directors. “He’s one of the hardest actors to stage a scene for,” Anthony Russo said, “because he loves to move so much.”

RDJ has shaped cinema in the last decade and it was almost entirely due to his talent and charisma.

Say what you want about Endgame, but RDJs performance was flawless and his best work since Iron Man 1.

The man fills the screen and eeks charm and emotion in every damn frame of that movie. But he also makes those actors around him better for it.

The scene when he’s so weak and putting every last bit of strength into his anger at Steve through is slurred speech and held back tears? No right to be in a blockbuster but one of the most emotionally driven and honest scenes I’ve seen in years.

Or how honest-to-god in love he seems with his daughter? Or his nervous energy around Howard? Or his hug with Peter and the thankful look his gives the forces that brought him back? Or his final narration?

They all pack a punch.
