Me thinking about the 2004 Atlantic hurricane season: "Oh. Oh yeah, that was a bad time."
Hurricane Charley hit Florida 22 years ago today, and my fellow Floridians who were living in the state during that time would know how NOT fun that time was to get hit by multiple hurricanes within a short span of time. It was the longest "summer vacation" I've had and I was practically begging to go back to school at the end of it all. (Which is kinda ironic, considering what happened to me during the last school year.)
I did briefly forget about Danny Phantom during this period. In my defense, I was sitting in a house that was getting ripped apart and then was forced back to a toxic home environment that I had escaped from to then sit through Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne. I rediscovered DP the weekend that "Fanning the Flames" premiered while at my friend's house who got their power back on a couple of weeks before my house got it's power back. So yeah, thank you Danny Phantom for being the reason I was able to stand up and walk forward when life put me in a very dark place TWICE that year (and years to follow).
