The bass thumped low through the underground club like a second heartbeat. Dim red lighting washed over velvet booths and bodies pressed too close together. You tugged at the hem of the dangerously short dress Natasha had squeezed you into, the silk clinging to every curve like it had been painted on. A slit ran high up your thigh, and the neckline plunged low enough that you felt exposed in the best and worst ways. Heels taller than anything youâd ever trained in made your legs look endless.
âRemember,â Steveâs voice crackled softly through the tiny comm in your ear, âyouâre the distraction. Get close to the target, get him talking, and weâll handle the rest. Wandaâs on overwatch.â
Your stomach flipped at her name. Wanda Maximoff. The woman who barely spoke two words to you since youâd joined the team almost two months ago. The woman whose green eyes followed you across every briefing room but never held yours for long. The woman you were stupidly, hopelessly in love with, even though she clearly couldnât stand you.
You swallowed and adjusted the delicate pendant around your neck. It was meant to make you stand out as an easy target: wealthy and stupid. "Copy." Your voice crackled through the comms for everyone to hear, and you had to steady your breathing to keep it from shaking. You couldn't risk sounding like a little bitch during a mission where everyone, including Wanda, was counting on your performance to distract the target.Â
Pietro had tried to reassure you once before. He had cornered you in the compound kitchen with that knowing smirk. "She doesn't hate you, printsessa. Trust me." He had promised you. But then he'd zipped away before explaining, leaving you more confused than ever.
Across the club, you spotted the target: Victor Hale, arms dealer with a weakness for pretty girls who looked like they enjoyed trouble. You painted on a sultry smile and started toward him, hips swaying with every step. You could feel eyes on you. Not just the ones you wanted.
Since you had started living at the compound, you'd gotten along surprisingly well with the team. Natasha always offered to spar with you and hyped you up during training. Bucky made a habit of bringing you coffee every morning exactly how you liked it. Pietro cracked jokes and teased you, ruffling your hair after every training session. They were all so welcoming and kind in their own ways, which made adjusting to your new life easier.
You reached Hale's booth and leaned against the table, letting the dress do half the work for you.Â
"Mind if I join you?" you purred, voice low and honey-sweet. "It's too crowded out there for a girl like me."
Hale's eyes raked over you, his gaze slow and predatory. "For a woman who looks like she could be my sweetest sin? Always."
You laughed softly, sliding into the booth beside him. Close enough to smell the overpowering cologne he had covered himself in. Close enough to feel Wanda's gaze burning into the back of your neck from her shadowed position near the bar.
She too was undercover. Her only job was to monitor your live interactions with Hale and intervene quickly if things went sideways. But she had strict orders not to draw any attention to herself or interrupt your conversation unless there was an emergency. It meant that she'd had to change outfits as well. From the quick, stolen glance you'd allowed yourself, she was wearing a sleek black cocktail dress that hugged her figure with elegant restraint. It was modest enough at the neckline to blend in, but short enough to show off her long, toned legs, paired with a leather jacket that gave her an edge of dangerous sophistication. Her red hair fell in soft waves over one shoulder, and the subtle smokiness around her eyes made her look effortlessly lethal.
God, she was stunning. Your mouth went dry for a second, heat pooling low in your belly as you tried to force your focus back onto Hale. Stay on mission, you scolded yourself. But the image of Wanda in that dress lingered, making it far harder to concentrate on the delicate situation you were stuck in.
You moved forward with your mission, creating flirty conversation while sneaking in subtle questions about his business, your fingers brushing his arm while you listened to him brag about his illegal affairs.Â
Every time you leaned in closer to Hale, laughing at one of his weak jokes, you caught glimpses of movement near the bar. A flash of red hair shifting, shoulders tensing. Scarlet red energy flickering faintly at the edge of your vision before vanishing completely. You wondered, just for a heartbeat, if something was wrong. Maybe someone had tipped Hale off and he was playing along. Maybe it was all too easy. Maybe Wanda had spotted an unseen threat. Seconds passed, and you held your breath for a moment, waiting, but she stayed in position. Professional. Silent. Like always.
Twenty minutes later, Hale's hand landed high on your thigh under the table. "You're wasted on the dance floor, sweetheart. Come somewhere quieter with me. I've got a private lounge in the back."
Your pulse spiked. The plan had been clear: stay in the open bar where Wanda could watch and extract you if needed. Get the intel on his shipments, slip away, and let the team track the warehouse for a coordinated assault later. But Hale was finally opening up, and this was an opportunity. If you got him alone, you could take him down quietly, drag him back to the compound for questioning, and cut the whole operation short. It went against protocol; it was risky and impulsive, but you were confident you could handle it.
You smiled, slow and inviting, ignoring the way your comm stayed suspiciously quiet. âLead the way.â
He guided you through a dimly lit hallway, past velvet curtains, into a luxurious back room with a leather couch, low lighting, and a locked door. The second it clicked shut, his demeanor shifted. Greedy hands reached for your waist, pulling you flush against him. His palms roamed lower, squeezing your ass roughly as he ground against you, one hand sliding up to grope your breast through the thin silk.
âYou feel even better than you look,â he growled, fingers digging in hard enough to bruise. The strap of your dress snapped under the force, the fabric tearing down the front with a sharp rip that left you exposed, lace bra barely covering you as cool air hit your skin.
You moved faster. A sharp elbow to the ribs, a knee to the groin, and a whack over the head with the wooden clock left on a desk near the door. Hale crumpled with a groan. Your hands fumbled into your dress, pulling out zip-ties. You tied his wrists quickly, heart hammering.
âTarget down,â you whispered into the comm. âHeâs out. Iâm fine.â
No response. "I repeat, target down. All clear." High-pitched static answered instead. Your comms had cut out.
You exhaled, rolling your shoulders, trying to tug the ruined dress back into place when the door burst open with a crack of splintering wood.
Wanda stood there, eyes glowing bright scarlet, chest heaving like sheâd sprinted the entire way. For one terrifying second her gaze locked on you, topless except for the lacy black bra, skin flushed and marked with fingerprints, the shallow cut bleeding sluggishly on your collarbone. Then she was on you.
Her hands grabbed your shoulders, firm but trembling. She pulled you against her chest, one arm wrapping around your back as the other frantically checked you over. Her fingers ghosted over the cut, the bruises forming on your ribs, the torn strap of your dress. She tilted your chin up, green eyes wide and desperate as they searched your face for any sign of serious injury. Her breath came in short, ragged bursts against your hair. She didnât speak, she just held you tight, hands roaming with a gentleness that contradicted the chaos magic sparking at her fingertips. For a moment, all you felt was relief in her touch.
Then she pulled back just enough to look at you properly. The relief in her eyes hardened into something sharper, hotter.
âWhat the hell do you think youâre doing?â she whisper-shouted, voice low and cracking with barely contained fury. âYou were supposed to stay in the bar! I had eyes on you, I was ready to pull you out, and you just- just walked off with him? Alone? Do you have any idea what could have happened?â
Her hands were still gripping your arms, tight enough to anchor you but shaking with the aftermath of fear. You opened your mouth to explain, but the roar of the Quinjetâs engines cut through the hallway as Tonyâs voice crackled over the backup channel.
âPackage secured. Weâre pulling you both out right now. Move!â
Wandaâs jaw clenched. She didnât let go of your arm as she half-dragged, half-guided you toward the extraction point, her silence now heavier than any words. The team was waiting, expressions shifting from victory to confusion as they took in the scene from your torn dress and the blood to Wandaâs rigid fury.
The ride back to the compound was agonizingly long.
You sat wrapped in a blanket someone had tossed over your shoulders, shivering more from the weight of everything than the cold. The team tried to celebrate at first. Steve clapped you on the back (gently), praising the intel youâd already gathered. Natasha offered a small, proud smirk. But the tension rolling off Wanda was impossible to ignore. She sat directly across from you, arms crossed tight over her chest, jaw locked, eyes burning holes into the floor⊠then flicking to the cut on your collarbone⊠then to the blanket slipping off your shoulder. Every time her gaze lingered, her lips pressed thinner.
No one dared speak directly to either of you. The usual post-mission banter died quickly. Pietro shot you a worried glance, then looked at his sister and wisely stayed quiet. The Quinjet hummed on, minutes stretching into what felt like hours. You kept your eyes down, stomach twisting. Youâd broken protocol. Youâd scared her. She already avoided you, now sheâd never look at you again. The silence dragged, thick and suffocating, every second amplifying the ache in your chest.
By the time the Quinjet finally landed at the compound, you felt raw and small. Wanda stood first, storming down the ramp without a backward glance, red leather jacket flaring behind her as she headed straight for the living quarters.
You followed before you could talk yourself out of it, heart pounding in your throat.
âWanda, wait-â
She didnât slow down, boots echoing sharply down the corridor. âLeave me alone.â
âWanda, please, just let me explain-â
âI said leave me alone!â Her voice cracked as she kept walking, shoulders hunched like she was holding herself together by sheer force of will. âPiss off, Y/n. I canât do this right now.â
You kept chasing, voice desperate and breaking. âIâm sorry! I know I fucked up, I went off plan, I shouldnât have gone to the back room, but I thought I could handle it and bring him in and-â
She shoved open her door but didnât slam it in your face. You slipped inside after her, closing it softly.
The room was dim, lit only by a single lamp. Wanda stood with her back to you, shoulders rigid, fists clenched at her sides.
âIâm sorry,â you whispered, voice cracking. Tears burned at the corners of your eyes. âI know I went off-plan. I thought I could handle it. I didnât mean to ruin the mission or make the teamâs job harder-â
Wanda spun around, eyes blazing with unshed tears and raw fury. âYou didnât mean to? Do you have any idea what I went through watching that? His hands on you, that dress ripping, you disappearing where I couldnât see you-â
You flinched, assuming the worst. âI know. I broke protocol. Steveâs going to be pissed and I deserve it. I put the whole operation at risk because I got cocky and thought I could finish it myself. Iâm so sorry if I made you look bad in front of everyone or complicated things for the team-â
âThatâs not-â Wanda cut herself off, breathing hard. She took a shaky step closer, then another, until she was right in front of you. Her hands hovered like she wanted to grab you but was afraid to. âYou think this is about the plan? About Steve or the team?â
You blinked, the disappointment in your voice seeping through. âWhat else would it be about? Youâve barely spoken to me since I got here. You've known from the start that I'm not cut out for this. Tonight just proved it.â
Wanda stared at you for a long moment, something pained and disbelieving flickering across her face. Then the words started pouring out.
âI was terrified,â she choked. Her voice low as she took the slightest step towards you. She looked up and you could see vulnerability spilling out of her light green eyes. âNot about the mission. About you. I watched him pull you away and my mind wouldnât stop showing me everything that could go wrong. You bleeding out on the floor. You not coming back. I couldnât reach you, I couldnât protect you, and I thought-" her voice cut off abruptly, thick with emotion.
"Wanda," her name fell from your lips gently as you reached out for her. She shook her head, continuing.
"I thought I was going to lose you." You froze, the air leaving your lungs.Â
"Lose me?"Â
âIâve been terrified since the day you joined,â she continued, voice trembling as she stepped even closer. âTerrified because youâre brilliant and kind and so fucking beautiful it hurts. You remember the little things about people, like Natasha's favourite movies because I know you've watched them all, or how Pietro needs someone to laugh at his dumb jokes so he doesnât feel alone. You stay late in the training room helping people even when youâre exhausted. Youâre so sweet it makes my chest ache, and then you walk into a room looking like a literal goddess and every idiot on this team starts circling you. Sam with his âjust the two of usâ sparring. Bucky with the coffee. I watch it all, but I wanna be the one who does all that for you. I want to be the reason you smile like that.â
Her voice dropped, thick with emotion again. "Being around you makes my magic easier to control. It feels like I can direct it, instead of it directing me. You make the compound feel like home. And tonight I thought I was going to lose the one person who makes me feel like I could still be good. Like I could still have something real."
Her confession hung between you, heavy and electric. The tension in the air was palpable. All the distance, the silence, the jealousy, it had never been what you assumed. For moment you didn't reply, too stunned speak, and Wanda hung her head ever so slightly, accepting your silence as an answer.Â
"Wanda..." You closed the gap, cupping her face with trembling hands. You let your thumb gently caress her cheek, tilting her chin up so you could see her eyes. "I'm right here. And I've wanted you for so long. I just never knew... I thought you couldn't stand me."
Her control shattered. She kissed you like she was drowning, desperate and claiming, hands sliding under the ruined dress to pull you flush against her. The kiss was messy, wet with tears, teeth clashing and tongues sliding as months of longing poured out. Wandaâs fingers dug into your hips, pulling you impossibly closer as she walked you backward toward her bed.
You gasped into her mouth when the backs of your knees hit the mattress. Wanda didnât stop kissing you- deep, filthy, devouring -as she pushed you down gently. Her leg slid between your thighs, pressing firmly against your core through the remnants of your dress and panties. The pressure made you moan, hips rolling instinctively against her.
The kiss only grew more desperate as Wanda ground her thigh against you, the friction sending sparks through your entire body. Your hands fisted in her red hair, tugging just hard enough to make her groan into your mouth.
âYou have no idea what you do to me,â she panted against your lips, nipping at your bottom lip before soothing it with her tongue. Her hands roamed greedily, cupping your breasts through the lace bra, thumbs teasing your nipples until they peaked. She unclasped the bra with one smooth motion and tossed it aside, mouth descending to latch onto one nipple, sucking hard while her hand kneaded the other.
You arched with a broken moan, grinding harder against her thigh. âWanda⊠pleaseâŠâ
She moved lower, kissing down your stomach, nipping at your hips before hooking her fingers into your panties and dragging them down your legs. Her breath ghosted over your core, making you shiver.
Wandaâs hands immediately gripped your thighs, spreading them wide and holding you open. âNo hiding from me, detka,â she whispered, voice low and commanding, laced with dark hunger. âIâve waited too long for this. Youâre going to let me take my time with you.â
She was completely in control. Her eyes glowing faintly scarlet, red hair cascading over her shoulders as she settled between your legs. Every touch, every lingering kiss designed to pull more pleasure from you. She got off on it, you could tell. The way her own breathing hitched whenever you whimpered, the soft, satisfied hums she made against your skin.
Wanda started at your inner thigh, pressing open-mouthed kisses along the sensitive skin, licking slow stripes upward only to pull away right before she reached where you needed her most. She repeated the motion on the other thigh, teeth grazing lightly, tongue soothing the faint marks she left. Your hips twitched desperately, but her hands held you firmly in place.
âWanda⊠please,â you begged, voice already wrecked. âI need you.â
âNot yet,â she murmured against your skin, kissing just beside your dripping pussy, so close you could feel the heat of her breath. She licked a long stripe up one thigh again, then the other, deliberately avoiding your center. Her fingers traced feather-light patterns on your hips, your stomach, everywhere except where you were aching for her.
You were trembling, hips rolling uselessly as arousal dripped down your thighs. âPlease, Wanda-I canât- I need your mouth. Iâm so wet for you, pleaseâŠâ
She looked up at you with blown pupils, lips shiny, a wicked little smile playing on her face. âSo pretty when you beg. Look at you⊠dripping for me already and Iâve barely touched you.â
Finally, she dragged her tongue slowly through your folds, a single broad lick from your entrance to your clit. You cried out, back arching sharply. But she didnât stay. She pulled back and kissed your thigh again, licking up the wetness that had spilled there, savoring you.
âWanda- fuck- please donât stop,â you whined, hands fisting the sheets.
She hummed, clearly enjoying how desperate you sounded. Only then did she return, licking slow, lazy circles around your clit but never quite giving direct pressure. She teased her tongue at your entrance, dipping just the tip inside before pulling out again, over and over, driving you higher without letting you tip over.
Your moans turned into broken sobs of pleasure. âPlease, baby, I need more. Iâll be good, just please let me come-â
Wanda finally took mercy, sealing her mouth around your clit and sucking gently while her tongue flicked in perfect rhythm. Two fingers pressed inside you at once, curling deep and stroking that spot that made stars explode behind your eyes. She didnât rush even now, thrusting slowly, deliberately, drawing it out as long as possible while her mouth worked you perfectly.
âYou gonna come for me, darling?â she teased, voice muffled against your pussy, green eyes flicking up to watch your face. âThatâs it, pretty girl. Let me taste how much you need me.â
Her dirty words sent you over the edge. You came hard with a sharp cry of her name, thighs shaking around her head, walls clenching rhythmically around her fingers. Wanda moaned against you, clearly getting off on your pleasure, and worked you through every wave until you were whimpering and oversensitive.
But she wasnât done.
She climbed back up your body, kissing you deeply so you could taste yourself on her tongue. âSuch a good girl for me,â she praised, voice husky. âBut Iâm nowhere near finished with youâŠâ
Wanda flipped you onto your stomach, pulling your hips up so you were on all fours. She kissed down your spine, nipping at the curve of your ass before spreading you open again. Her tongue returned, slow and teasing, licking from your clit all the way up and circling your entrance.
âLook at this pretty pussy,â she murmured, voice thick with lust. âSo wet and needy for me. Youâre going to give me another one, arenât you, baby?â
Wanda ate you out like she had all night, because she did.
She started with feather-light flicks of her tongue against your swollen clit. Her movements were quick, barely-there touches that made your hips jerk forward desperately. Then she switched to long, slow, flat licks from your entrance all the way up, dragging through your folds and savoring every drop of your arousal like it was the sweetest thing sheâd ever tasted. She hummed in approval against you, the vibration sending jolts of pleasure straight to your core.
âFuck, you taste so good,â she groaned, pulling back just enough to kiss the inside of your thigh, licking up the slick that had dripped down your skin. âSo fucking sweet for me.â
She teased her tongue at your entrance again, dipping just the tip inside, shallow and slow, fucking you with only the smallest movements before pulling out completely. You whimpered, pushing back against her face, but she held your hips firmly in place.
âPatience, detka,â she whispered, voice dark and amused. âI want to enjoy every second of this.â
She returned to your clit, licking lazy circles around it, still never giving you the direct pressure you craved. Every time your moans grew louder and your thighs started to shake, sheâd pull away and kiss along your folds or suck gently on your inner lips instead, always keeping you right on the edge without letting you fall just like before.
âMmh, Wands, I'm so close again-â you sobbed, fingers twisting in the sheets. âI need more, I need you," you moaned out, calling for her.
"Yeah? You need me, baby?" She taunted you again, kissing you deeply so you could taste yourself on her lips. You whimpered and nodded. Wanda flipped onto her back and pulled you on top of her, straddling her thigh. She gripped your hips firmly, guiding you down so your soaked pussy pressed flush against her toned thigh. "Ride me." She ordered, eyes dark with lust. "Use my thigh to get yourself off. I want to feel how desperate you are for me."Â
You obeyed instantly, grinding down against her. The slick, hot friction was perfect, your clit dragging along her skin with every roll of your hips. Wanda's hands stayed on your waist, helped you move faster, harder, while she watched you with hungry eyes.
"Fuck, you feel so fucking good." You whimper into her shoulder.Â
âThatâs it, baby,â she groaned, flexing her thigh beneath you. âLook at you, soaking me like such a needy little thing. So fucking pretty riding my thigh. You gonna come all over me again?â
The praise and the delicious pressure sent you spiraling. You ground down harder, moaning loudly as your second orgasm hit, flooding her thigh with fresh wetness. Wanda moaned with you, clearly getting off on your pleasure, and kept guiding your hips through every wave until you were trembling and breathless.
She climbed back up your body, kissing you deeply so you could taste yourself on her tongue again. âSuch a good girl for me,â she praised, voice husky. âYou can take more.."
Wanda reached into her nightstand and pulled out a sleek red harness with a thick, realistic silicone cock attached. It was veiny, girthy, and perfectly curved. Your mouth watered instantly. She fastened it around her hips with practiced movements, adjusting the straps so the base pressed firmly against her swollen clit. The sight of her like, this naked, flushed, cock jutting out proudly, made fresh arousal drip down your thighs.
âOn your knees, baby,â she commanded softly, sitting on the edge of the bed with her legs spread.
You slid off the mattress immediately, settling between her thighs on the floor. Wanda cupped your cheek tenderly, thumb brushing your lower lip.
âSuck it for me,â she murmured, voice low and dark. âShow me how badly you want me to fuck you with it.â
You leaned in eagerly, pressing a soft, reverent kiss to the tip before swirling your tongue around the head. Wandaâs breath hitched sharply. The harness shifted, pressing the base harder against her clit. You took more into your mouth, sucking slowly, hollowing your cheeks as you bobbed your head.
âFuck⊠just like that,â Wanda groaned, one hand threading gently into your hair. âYou look so pretty with my cock in your mouth, detka. So eager for me.â
You took her deeper, relaxing your throat until your nose brushed the harness. âMmmph..â you moaned around the thick length, looking up at her with watery eyes. Wandaâs hips twitched, grinding the base against her clit.
âGod, yes- take it deeper, baby. Let me feel that pretty throat,â she panted. âYouâre doing so good for me. Such a perfect little cocksucker.â
You hummed loudly in response, the vibration making her moan. âWanna make you feel good,â you gasped when you pulled off for air, strings of saliva connecting your lips to the strap. âWant you to fuck me so bad after this.â
Wandaâs eyes darkened. âKeep talking like that and I wonât last. Suck it again, baby. Make me come so I can ruin that pussy properly.â
You dove back down, sucking harder, faster, one hand stroking the base while the other gently massaged where the harness pressed against her. âPlease come for me,â you begged between bobs, voice hoarse. âI need you to use my mouth and get yourself off.â
Wandaâs thighs trembled around your head. âFuckkk- yes, just like that. Iâm so close, baby. Donât stop- gonna come down your throat-â
She came with a broken cry, hips stuttering as the harness ground hard against her clit. Her whole body shook, thighs clamping around your head as waves of pleasure rolled through her. You kept sucking gently, moaning encouragement until she was whimpering and oversensitive.
Wanda pulled you up into a filthy, desperate kiss. âMy perfect girl,â she whispered against your lips, voice wrecked. âNow get on the bed. Hands and knees. I need to be inside you.â
You scrambled into position, ass up, chest pressed to the mattress. Wanda knelt behind you, running her hands reverently over your ass and spreading you open. She teased the thick head of the strap up and down your soaked folds.
âSo wet for me,â she murmured. âThis pretty pussy is going to take every inch. Tell me how bad you want it.â
âI need it so bad,â you whimpered, pushing back against the tip. âPlease fuck me, Wanda. Iâve been so empty without you.â
She pressed in slowly, just the tip stretching you open. You moaned loudly. âOh God- yesss, more. Fill me up!"
âInch by inch, baby,â Wanda groaned, sinking deeper. âFeel how full Iâm making you? Thatâs my cock stretching this tight little cunt.â
When she bottomed out, hips flush against your ass, the fullness was overwhelming. âFuck, youâre so deep,â you gasped. âIt feels so good. Please, I need you to move. Fuck me.â
Wanda started with long, deep strokes, pulling almost all the way out before sliding back in. âYou feel incredible,â she panted. âSo hot and tight around me. This pussy was made for my cock.â
âHarder,â you begged, pushing back. âPlease, Wands, I can take it.â
She picked up speed, hips snapping harder. The sound of skin slapping skin filled the room. âYeah? You want it rough, baby? Want me to fuck you stupid?â
âYess- please- fuck me stupid,â you cried out. âIâm yours. Use me.â
Wanda fucked you harder, pounding into you relentlessly. Her hands groped your ass, feeling you up. âThatâs my good girl. Taking my cock so well. Look at you, pushing back like you canât get enough.â
One hand slid around to rub your clit. âCome for me,â she demanded. âCome on my cock like the needy slut you are for me.â
You came hard for the final time, vision whiting out as pleasure overwhelmed you. Wanda fucked you through it, grinding deep until she came again with a broken moan, hips stuttering against your ass.
She didnât pull out.
Instead, Wanda stayed buried to the hilt inside you, collapsing carefully over your back. Her cock remained deep, stretching you open as she rolled her hips in slow, lazy circles, grinding the base against her own oversensitive clit while keeping you full.
âStay just like this,â she murmured against your ear, voice rough and possessive. âI want to feel you fluttering around me. This pussy is still mine.â
You whimpered at the overstimulation, clenching around the thick strap as aftershocks rolled through you. Wanda groaned low, pressing deeper, savoring the way your walls pulsed.
âThatâs it,â she whispered, kissing the back of your neck. âKeep squeezing my cock. Feel how deep I am? No one else gets to have you like this. Ever.â
She kept the slow, grinding rhythm going for long minutes, hips rolling lazily, cock nestled deep inside you as you both came down. Every small movement sent sparks through your over-sensitive body. Wandaâs hands roamed possessivelyâsqueezing your breasts, pinching your nipples, gripping your hips to hold you exactly where she wanted you.
When she finally pulled out, it was slow and deliberate, drawing a broken moan from you at the emptiness. She tossed the harness aside and pulled you flush against her, one thigh slipping between yours so you were still pressed together, slick and warm.
âMine,â she said simply, voice low and satisfied, lips brushing your shoulder as she held you close.
You shivered in her arms, utterly spent and claimed, a small, wrecked smile on your lips.

Sleepyhead (e.o)
summary<3:Â You spend the morning with your wife while she's filming a new movie, and are there waiting for when she gets home after a long day too.
wc: 1408
Birds chirped at your window, and you lifted your head to see your beautiful wife reading peacefully next to you in bed. A soft smile graced your lips, and you scooched over, placing your head in her lap.
"Good morning, my love," You greeted her sleepily, drawing her attention away from the book that she was reading. Her lips curled into a loving smile as she stared back, brushing a strand of hair from your forehead.
"Good morning, sleepyhead." She placed a quick kiss on your forehead, and you raised your eyebrows, puckering your lips dramatically.
"I demand a real kiss." You whined, needily chasing after hers. She giggled and tilted your chin up, placing a chaste kiss. You crashed your lips back onto hers, and she laughed, a soft, musical sound that filled the room and deepened the kiss, wrapping her arms around your shoulders. Your hands found their way to her waist, pulling her closer as you pressed into her warmth.
The sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a golden glow over her hair, and for a moment, the world outside didn't exist. Only the feel of her lips on yours, the gentle rise and fall of her chest beneath your hands, and the quiet morning that belonged solely to the two of you.
When you finally broke apart, breathless, she rested her forehead against yours, eyes sparkling with affection. "You're insatiable," she teased softly, running a hand down your arm.
"And you're far too tempting to resist," you murmured back, letting your fingers trace the line of her jaw.
She laughed again, leaning back slightly to tug you into a loose embrace. "We should get up soon... I've got filming later, and I want to spend the day with you before I head out."
You groaned dramatically, nuzzling her neck. "Fine, but only if we have breakfast in bed first."
Her smile widened. "Deal," she agreed, squeezing you gently.
The morning stretched lazily, filled with small touches, quiet laughter, and the warmth of being together before the chaos of the day pulled her away. You shifted slightly, stretching languidly across her lap, enjoying the way she hummed softly under your touch. Her fingers threaded through your hair, tugging lightly at the strands, and you let out a content sigh.
"Promise me something?" she murmured, tilting her head so that her lips brushed the top of your hair.
"Anything," you replied, closing your eyes and letting her warmth seep into you.
"That no matter how busy today gets, we'll always have mornings like this."
You smiled into her touch, pressing a soft kiss to her palm. "Always. Even if the world pulls us apart for a while, mornings like this are ours."
She leaned down to capture your lips again, this kiss slow and tender, lingering just long enough to make your heart flutter. When she pulled back, she rested her forehead against yours, and you could feel the subtle, steady beat of her heart.
"Alright, love," she whispered, her voice a soothing murmur. "Breakfast first, then I have to go film. But I'll be thinking of you all day."
You grinned, nuzzling her neck. "I'll be thinking of you too. Every single second."
For a few more minutes, you stayed tangled together, laughing softly, stealing little kisses, and simply enjoying the rare stillness. The rest of the world could wait. Right now, it was just the two of you, wrapped in warmth and morning light.
Eventually, you reluctantly rolled off her lap, dragging her gently to sit up with you so you could share breakfast. Pancakes, berries, and steaming coffee awaited, but the sweetness of the moment was more than any meal could provide.
She reached across the tray, squeezing your hand. "See? Even the little things are better when we're together."
You nodded, eyes meeting hers, and in that simple glance, the unspoken words floated between you: love, comfort, and the quiet joy of being each other's home. You both lingered over breakfast, stealing bites from each other's plates and laughing at the little flour-and-syrup messes you left on your cheeks.
Finally, she glanced at the clock, sighing softly. "I should get going... the crew's waiting, and I promised I'd be early today."
You groaned dramatically, reaching for her hand across the tray. "Already? Can't you just skip one day for me?"
She chuckled, leaning down to press a quick kiss to your lips. "As much as I'd love to, my love, the cameras won't forgive me. But I will be thinking about you the entire time."
You smiled, leaning your head against her shoulder. "Promise me you'll send me at least a dozen texts?"
She grinned, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "More like a hundred. I can't resist sending you little updates... and maybe a few pictures too."
"Pictures?" you asked, feigning suspicion.
"Oh, you'll see," she teased, slipping her phone out of her bag. "But only the cute ones. No spoilers about the movie, I promise."
The morning light streamed through the kitchen window as she finally stood, giving you one last long hug. You clung to her for a few more seconds, savoring the warmth and the smell of her hair.
"Alright, I have to go," she said softly, tugging her bag over her shoulder. "Text me as soon as you miss me."
You laughed, waving her off dramatically. "As if I'll ever stop!"
She winked, stepping toward the door. "Good. Because I'll be thinking about you too."
Even after the click of the front door, your phone buzzed within minutes. A small selfie of her, grinning from the set, with a caption:Â "Thinking of you ;). Don't cause too much trouble while I'm gone."
You melted into the couch, replaying the morning over in your mind, already counting down the messages she'd send while she filmed-and the moment you'd see her again.
---
Hours later, the front door clicked open, and the familiar sound of her footsteps echoed down the hallway. You were sprawled on the couch, your phone still glowing with the last of her teasing texts, but nothing compared to the real thing.
"She's home," you whispered to yourself, springing up.
She appeared in the doorway, hair slightly mussed from a long day on set, cheeks flushed from running between takes, and a tired but radiant smile lighting up her face. The exhaustion in her eyes melted away the moment she saw you.
"Hey," she breathed, dropping her bag and stepping into your arms.
"Hey, love," you said, pulling her close. She melted against you, pressing her forehead to yours.
"Did you miss me?" she asked softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Every second," you murmured, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Even the ones you were sending me cute pictures of yourself."
She laughed quietly, resting her hands on your chest. "I tried not to spam you too much."
You pressed a gentle kiss to the top of her head. "Don't ever stop. I loved every one."
For a while, you just stood there, holding each other, letting the quiet of your apartment wrap around you like a warm blanket. The world outside, work, filming, obligations, faded until it was just the two of you.
She pulled back slightly, cupping your face in her hands. "I'm so glad to be home," she said, voice thick with emotion. "Even if it's just for tonight."
You smiled, resting your forehead against hers. "Home is wherever you are. But I'm glad you're back here, with me."
She kissed you slowly, tenderly, letting the day's stress melt away with each gentle press of her lips. When she finally pulled back, her smile was soft, sleepy, and full of warmth.
"Let's just stay like this," she murmured, sinking into the couch beside you. "Just us, no phones, no scripts, no world."
You nodded, curling around her, arms snug around her waist. "Agreed. Just us."
And for the rest of the evening, you stayed entwined, whispering little jokes, stealing soft kisses, and savouring the simple, perfect comfort of being home together. The world could wait tonight; it was just the two of you, and that was enough.

Just a Friend (w.m) - Part Two
summary<3:Â After a tumultuous interaction with Kate Bishop, tension only rises between you and Wanda while attending one of her archery competitions.
wc:Â 6874
Two weeks had passed since Wanda walked away from you. Your friendship had mostly gone back to normal, but there was an undeniable awkwardness that had settled between you two. Gone were the days of subtle, friendly touches; now you and Wanda could barely make eye contact. You both tried to pretend that nothing was wrong, desperately trying to fall back into your normal routine, but it was impossible.
You had your earbuds blasting music as you got ready for your first lecture of the day. Sabrina Carpenter's new album filled your brain, and you didn't even notice your redhead roommate sitting on your shared couch as you walked over to the fridge and grabbed your breakfast. Reaching for a spoon, you jumped back, whipping off your headphones as you felt someone brush past you. Your sudden movement also surprised Wanda, who had tried to slip past you to grab a glass.
"Holy fuck, you scared me!" You exclaimed, grabbing at your chest dramatically. Wanda giggled quietly, and you felt your mood lift at the sound. She was wearing a baggy, frayed band tee and a pair of jeans that had you swallowing thickly, unable to tear your eyes away from her form. The effortless beauty she exuded always turned you into a hot mess. After a few seconds, you forced your gaze upwards, meeting hers. Her eyes pierced into yours, holding a familiar glow that wrapped your body in warmth. You quickly cleared your throat, and Wanda did the same, her eyes breaking away from yours and darting everywhere but you.
"Sorry, I thought you could hear me," She mumbled, moving towards the cupboard. Thinking that she wanted to get by you again, you stepped aside, inadvertently stepping in the way as your body blocked the cupboard she was trying to reach. Her mouth opened and closed as she looked up at you before she weakly pointed to the cupboard at your back. "Could I grab a glass?" She asked awkwardly. You realized your mistake and cursed inwardly.
Hastily, you both tried to move out of each other's way, but moved in the same direction, running into each other again. Tripping over her feet, Wanda put her hands out to steady herself and accidentally grabbed your waist, her body pressing against yours.
Every molecule of air in your lungs disappeared at the feeling of Wanda's body against yours, and your mouth went dry. Wanda's head snapped up, your eyes meeting once again, and she blushed at your proximity. She was looking at you through her lashes, and you had to stop yourself from cupping her cheek to get a better view. Everywhere her body touched yours felt like it was on fire, your skin burning with anticipation. For a moment, you swore Wanda's gaze fell to your lips, but you couldn't be sure. You could feel that her heart was beating faster, and her lips parted slightly as her breathing sped up. Part of you wanted to lean forward, to claim her lips, and confess your feelings, but before anything could happen, Wanda sprang back from you like she had just discovered you had a contagious disease.
"I have to get to my class," Her voice sounded distant, but she was moving away before you could react. Her hands reached for her backpack, and she didn't spare you a single glance as she practically sprinted out the door. Little did she know that you knew Wanda's schedule by heart, and she didn't even have her first lecture until 10 AM. The clock on your stove displayed 9:17 AM, almost taunting you with her obvious lie. You had made her uncomfortable, and she wanted to get away from you.
Scolding yourself for even letting yourself think that Wanda shared your feelings, you grabbed your bag and headed to your first class, no longer hungry for the meal you had planned to eat moments before.
---
It was hard to focus on anything that your professors were saying when a certain redhead kept infiltrating your thoughts. It didn't make sense; she didn't make sense. One moment she was telling you that she was scared she was going to lose you, and the next she was trying to push you away. You sighed, looking out the window at the grassy football field that stretched out in front of your university.
"Ms. L/n, what don't you share your thoughts with the class." The voice of your professor caught your attention, jolting you from your daydreaming. "Considering Bernoulli's principle, what would an object sinking tell you about its density relative to water?" Your mind blanked for a second, and you could tell that Professor Banner knew you weren't listening.
"Uhh," You started slowly, trying to find the words. "If an object is placed in water and it sinks, then it would mean that its density would be greater than the density of water?" You didn't sound confident with your answer, but Banner nodded, urging you to continue.
"Why?" His voice wasn't angry, instead it held anticipation, as if he was willing you to answer correctly. You paused, thinking for a moment.
"Because if an object sinks, the buoyant force acting on it is less than the force of gravity pulling it down." You hesitated, then steadied. "And since buoyant force depends only on the volume of displaced water and gravity - both of which don't change - the only way for gravity's pull to win is if the object's density is greater than the water's." You finished, looking up to see your professor smiling down at you.
"Good work, but next time I recommend listening so you don't have to figure it all out on your own." He joked.
---
It was lunchtime, but you didn't know where to go. You had been continuing to brave the awkward lunches with Wanda and Vision, despite the obvious tension, but today you didn't feel like handling it. Instead, your legs dragged you around campus aimlessly, and you sipped on a matcha that you had bought at your university's café. Finishing off you drink, you had just spotted a bench to sit at when you heard someone calling your name. Instinctively, you turned to see the familiar figure of the popular archer, and a small smile graced your lips as you waved back at her. She bounded over to you, her energy matching that of a golden retriever as she threw her arms around you excitedly.
"Y/n!" She beamed, smiling down at you. "I haven't seen you in over a week!!" She whined jokingly, ruffling your hair gently. She pulled back from your hug, and you felt your cheeks flush as her eyes moved up and down your body not-so-subtly. You had only spoken to the raven-haired girl briefly in the hallway a few days after your falling out with Wanda, and you felt bad since she obviously wanted to see you.
"Sorry, I have been so slammed with my classes recently." You apologized letting her arm fall causally around your shoulder as she guided you towards the bench you were originally planning to sit on.
"Don't worry, we have plenty of time to catch up." She reassured you, squeezing your arm gently. Your eyes flickered up towards her, and she caught you stare, smiling back down at you with a face that told you she wanted to make a teasing comment, but she was holding herself back.
Slowly, you started explaining what you had been up to over the past week, including how you had embarrassed yourself in your lecture earlier this morning by not paying attention. Kate's eyes had crinkled, and she had let out an adorable laugh as you explained the physics pop-quiz Professor Banner had given you. You relished in how easy it felt to be with archer. She had kept her arm lazily around you, unafraid to show her interest in you, which felt nice. It was different than Wanda who made your head spin, and your body feel like it was on fire.
Kate felt like a cool sea breeze, her eyes matching the color. She relaxed you so quickly, making you feel comfortable to talk as much or as little as you wanted. However, you couldn't lie and pretend that your best friend wasn't still rooted deep into your heart.
Just as the thought crossed your mind, you noticed Kate staring at you expectantly. She was waiting for the response to a question that you had completely missed, your mind elsewhere.
"Sorry, I zoned out," You apologized, hoping she wouldn't be annoyed. But she just smiled and leaned in closer. Her hand delicately moved up to your face and brushed a strand of hair away from your forehead, tucking it behind your ear.
"What's got that pretty little head of yours so distracted?" She asked, her voice dropping to a lower octave as she got quieter due to your proximity. Her gaze pierced yours and you felt your face heat up again.
"I-i.." You stuttered, your mouth growing drier every second that you could feel Kate moving closer to you. She kept flickering between your lips and your eyes, but you didn't move away. You were too flustered to move yourself, but as she hesitated in front of you, waiting for you to stop her, you didn't. Her hand tentatively cupped your cheek, lips barely brushing against yours before they trailed up to your ear.
"I was just wanting to see if you would come to my competition tonight." Her voice was filled with something that sent butterflies deep into your stomach and you nodded, your breath hitching. She pulled back quicker than you expected, her pupils blown up more than usual. You were sure that yours were too as you tried to steady your breathing.
"I'll be there." Your voice sounded shaky as it left your lips, and you scolded yourself internally.
Pull it together, Y/n. You have one of the most popular girls in your university flirting with you right now.
"Good." She pulled a hoodie out of her bag, and nervously looked over at you. "Every year we get these team hoodies with our last name on the back and usually its tradition to give it to someone that you want to wear it at a game or something, or just in general, it doesn't have to be at the game, but usually people wear their partner's jersey at a match and we don't have jerseys, just hoodies and our competition outfits, but I can't let you wear that and I'm not saying that we have to be dating for you to wear my hoodie but I was wondering if you wanted to wear mine at the game tonight, but there's no pressure-" Kate's eyes were searching your intensely as words spilled out of her mouth at a rapid-fire pace. You were pretty she had yet to take a full breath again, and you couldn't help but find her nervousness endearing.
"Kate." You interrupted her. She fell silent immediately, looking at you anxiously. "I would love to wear it tonight." You smiled, taking it from her hands. You could see her last name BISHOP printed on the sleeve, and back of the hoodie, and you blushed.
"Really?" She asked, sounding surprised. You nodded.
"As long as you think it will look good on me." You joked.
"You would look good wearing a garbage bag." She giggled, pulling you to your feet. You blushed at her compliment and shook your head, smiling.
"You're such a charmer, Bishop."
You both slowly started to walk towards the building, knowing that you had history together soon and Professor Harkness didn't accept late students into her lecture hall. As you neared the room, you saw Wanda walking with Vision by her side. She seemed unhappy, her gaze distant as Vision mouth moved, obviously talking to her about something. Kate noticed the redhead as well, and waved at her. You cringed internally, wanting to grab Kate's arm and bring it back to her side, but it was too late and Wanda noticed. Her head snapped over to look at the two of you, Kate's other arm still holding the side of your body flush against hers. Her jaw clenched slightly, but the archer didn't notice, walking over to greet her.
"Hey, Wanda! How are your classes going?" Kate smiled politely at her.
"Fine." Her smile was tight, and her eyes were fixed on you. You didn't dare meet her eyes, instead choosing to look over at Vision. He didn't even seem to be paying attention anymore, already staring down at his phone. "I couldn't find you at lunch today." Her words were now directed at you. You forced yourself to meet her eyes, and you could see the mixture of emotions swirling in them.
"Y/n and I were sitting over on the benches by the field." Kate jumped in, explaining how you had spent your entire lunch break together, chatting. Wanda's gaze never left yours, but the sound of your history lecture beginning forced all of you, excluding Vision, to head inside. At the same moment, both Wanda and Kate slid their hand into yours, pulling you in opposite directions to find a place to sit. You froze, unsure of where to go, and Wanda turned to look back at you. She saw Kate's hand linked with your other side, and her eyes darkened.
"We should sit over here," Kate explained, unaware of the tension between you and your friend. "It has the best view." Wanda's eyes locked with yours, and you could tell that she was silently telling you to come with her. You glanced over to where Kate had pointed out and saw that she was right; her spot was much closer to the board and was less crowded than where you and Wanda usually sat. You turned back to try to convince Wanda to change seats, but she dropped your hand with a scoff and walked off before you could say anything. Kate's eyebrows furrowed, but she didn't say anything as she led you to the more secluded spot.
The lecture seemed to drag on for hours before Professor Harkness finally told everyone to meet up with their partners for the project you had been working on. Kate had been making jokes to you all class, making you laugh and slap her shoulder playfully. Wanda watched the each interaction, her stomach twisting as she watched Kate effortlessly pull a smile to your lips with every word she spoke. She got up and walked over to you.
"We're already partners for this project," She explained quickly, pulling you to your feet and away from the brunette before you could react. Her arm slid around your waist as she guided you through the sea of other students trying to reach their partners and brought you back to your usual spot. "We're almost done with this second stage of this project which means that we're exactly where Professor Harkness wants us to be by the end of the week." Wanda's words tumbled out quickly, too quickly, like she was trying to fill the silence with anything other than what she was actually feeling.
You blinked at her, trying to keep up. "Wanda, slow down. What's going on with you?"
"Nothing," she said sharply, eyes fixed on the open book in front of you both. Her arm was still resting around your waist, tense, like she hadn't realized it was still there.
You gently pried yourself away, turning to face her fully. "Wanda."
Her green eyes finally met yours, but only for a second before darting back down to the page. "I just don't like how she looks at you," she muttered, voice barely audible.
Your heart skipped. "Kate? She was just being nice." But you didn't even believe the words coming out of your own mouth.
Wanda's laugh was humorless. "That's not being nice. That's flirting. And you know it."
You opened your mouth to argue, but Professor Harkness swept past, commenting briefly on your group's progress. Wanda immediately sat straighter, forcing a polite smile until the professor moved on. Then her mask slipped again, eyes narrowing slightly.
"I don't want her distracting you from this project.. Or anything else," Wanda said, tone clipped but trembling underneath.
You studied her face, the tight line of her jaw, the storm in her gaze. "Or maybe you just don't want her distracting me from you," you said quietly.
Wanda froze. Her lips parted, but no words came out. For one long moment, she just stared at you, breathing uneven. Then she shoved her notebook into her bag and stood abruptly. "We'll finish this later."
You watched her rush out of the lecture hall, the sound of her boots echoing across the floor. Kate glanced up from across the room, confusion flickering in her eyes before she spotted you sitting there, still stunned. She raised her brows as if to ask what was that about?
But you had no answer.
---
Your very last lecture of the day always seemed to drag. No matter how much you usually enjoyed the subject, by 5 PM the words leaving your professor's mouth blurred together into a low hum. Your pen tapped absently against the corner of your notebook, eyes flicking toward the clock every few minutes as if sheer willpower could make the hands move faster.
When the lecture finally ended, you snapped your notebook closed with relief and shoved it into your bag. Around you, students were already filing toward the doors in a messy stream of chatter and backpacks. You slipped into the flow, tugging your zipper shut as you slung the strap over your shoulder.
The hallway outside buzzed with end-of-day energy, voices bouncing off the walls, but you had barely taken two steps when a hand caught your wrist. Firm, insistent. You turned sharply, ready to shake it off, only to find Wanda.
Her face was tense, but not in anger. Her green eyes were wide, almost desperate, locking onto yours like she was afraid you'd disappear if she blinked.
You instinctively tugged back, the sting from earlier still fresh. But the pleading look in her gaze rooted you in place.
"Wait," she breathed, her voice low, almost drowned out by the crowd. "Please, just... wait."
You exhaled slowly, trying to ignore the way your pulse jumped under her touch. "I thought you didn't want to talk to me."
Regret flickered across her features. "I didn't mean to storm off. I just-" She cut herself off, glancing around as students pushed past you both, annoyed at the traffic jam you were creating. Wanda's grip loosened, sliding down your wrist until her fingers barely brushed yours. "Can we go somewhere quieter?"
You hesitated. A part of you wanted to push back, to tell her no, that she couldn't keep jerking you around like this. But then her thumb traced lightly over your skin, and the words died in your throat.
"Fine," you muttered, jerking your chin toward an empty stretch of hallway that led to the back stairwell. She followed close behind, silent, until you ducked into the narrow space where the noise of the crowd faded into muffled echoes.
For a moment neither of you spoke. You leaned against the wall, crossing your arms as Wanda shifted nervously in front of you, chewing at her bottom lip. Her usual confidence was gone, replaced by something rawer, like she was struggling to hold herself together.
"I overreacted," she said finally, voice softer now. "In class, with Kate, all of it. I just... I don't know how to act around you lately."
You tilted your head, studying her. "Around me? Or around me when she's there?"
Her eyes snapped to yours, a flicker of panic in them, and you knew you'd hit too close to the truth.
"Both," she admitted quietly, almost like the word burned coming out.
The silence stretched between you, thick and charged. You wanted to demand answers, to ask what she really meant, but her gaze was darting everywhere except your face, and you knew she wasn't ready. Not yet.
So instead, you sighed and pushed off the wall. "Alright. Just... don't storm off next time. If something's wrong, tell me."
Wanda nodded quickly, relief loosening her shoulders as she reached out like she wanted to touch you, then stopped herself. "I'll try. I promise."
You didn't know if you believed her, but the sincerity in her eyes made it impossible to doubt her completely. You opened your mouth to try to start some sort of conversation when you saw her eyes harden, locking onto someone behind you. You knew Kate had arrived when you felt her arms slide around your waist, mirroring the same position Wanda had the first time all three of you had spoken.
"Heyyy," Kate's voice was bright as ever, sliding effortlessly into the space between you and Wanda. Her arms looped comfortably around your waist, pulling you back against her in a way that made your heart stutter. Kate's smile was soft as she looked down at you. "I just wanted to make sure you could still come tonight." Before you could answer, she turned her attention upward, catching Wanda's glower without flinching. "You should come too, Wands."
The nickname landed like a slap. Wanda's lips twitched, her jaw tightening as her green eyes flashed dark. That name had always been yours to use. Hearing it fall so casually from Kate's mouth felt like trespassing, and Wanda's whole body vibrated with unspoken fury.
"I'm sure you'll do fine without me," Wanda said coolly, her voice clipped as she folded her arms.
Kate tilted her head, feigning innocence, though the spark in her eye gave her away. "Of course I will. But I bet I'll hear Y/n's cheers louder when I've got both of you in the stands."
You froze, caught between them, your pulse thundering in your ears. Kate's grip around your waist tightened slightly, warm and steady, while Wanda's glare only grew sharper.
"Don't count on it," Wanda muttered under her breath, loud enough for both of you to hear.
Kate smirked. "Guess we'll see." She placed a kiss on your cheek. "Don't forget to wear my hoodie, babe," The pet name rolled off her tongue so smoothly that you almost didn't hear it at first, but Wanda did. Her fingers gave your side a final squeeze before she slipped away, disappearing back into the crowd with a little wave over her shoulder.
The silence she left behind was deafening.
Wanda's arms were rigid at her sides, her expression carefully schooled into neutrality, but her eyes betrayed her. They were stormy, restless, and burning holes into the spot where Kate had just stood. You swallowed, nerves twisting in your stomach.
"So... you're not coming?"
Wanda's eyes flicked to yours, raw jealousy hidden behind a thin mask. "We'll see." She turned on her heel before you could press her further, leaving you rooted to the hallway, breathless and confused once again.
---
You tousled your hair once more in the mirror, loving the way Kate's hoodie fit your body. For something so oversized, it managed to cling in all the right places, accentuating your curves and giving you a confidence you rarely felt. You tugged at the hem, grinning to yourself as you stepped out of your room.
Wanda's head snapped up the second she heard you. Her book was forgotten on the couch, her gaze fixing on you with an intensity that made your breath falter. Her gaze softened as she took in your sight, wearing comfy clothes that made you look fragile and innocent. She opened her mouth to compliment you, but you had to leaned down to grab your shoes, and that's when she saw it.
Silence stretched as her eyes swept over you, lingering far too long on the bold "BISHOP" scrawled across the back. Her gaze hardened, and the words were lost on the tip of her tongue. She was still staring at you, but it wasn't admiration, it was possession.
"Are you ready to go?" Wanda asked finally, standing a little too quickly. Her voice was tight, the edges sharp enough to cut.
You frowned, brows knitting. "You're coming to Kate's archery competition?" Your tone was equal parts disbelief and curiosity.
Wanda rolled her eyes like the question was ridiculous. "Obviously."
You blinked. "But earlier you said-"
"I changed my mind." She brushed past you toward the door, her shoulder grazing yours, the faint scent of her perfume filling your lungs. "Somebody has to make sure you don't get lost in her little fan club."
Her words made your stomach flip. You weren't sure if it was from annoyance or excitement. Maybe both.
"Wanda," you said slowly, following her, "it's just an archery competition. Not a date."
She stopped, hand on the doorknob, and turned her head just enough to pin you with a look. Her eyes were dark, unreadable as they glimmered in the dim light of your dorm.
"Then why are you wearing her hoodie?" she asked softly, almost too soft.
Your heart stuttered, heat rushing to your cheeks. You opened your mouth, but no explanation came.
Wanda smirked faintly, like your silence was an answer in itself. Her lips held an expression of pain mixed with anger. Without another word, she yanked the door open and stepped out.
Wanda didn't wait for you as she strode down the hall, her boots clicking sharply against the tile. You jogged a couple steps to catch up, tugging at the sleeves of Kate's hoodie as though the extra fabric could shield you from the tension radiating off her.
The dorm halls were quiet, only the low hum of fluorescent lights above filling the silence between you. Wanda's arms were crossed, her jaw tight, and every attempt you made at conversation withered before it even left your tongue.
"Wanda," you finally said, your voice echoing faintly in the corridor. "You don't have to come if you don't want to."
She didn't slow down. "I want to."
The way she said it didn't sound like want, it sounded like need, like an unspoken dare for you to challenge her.
You sighed, shoving your hands in your pockets as you both pushed through the double doors leading out into the cool evening air. The golden wash of sunset lit her hair like fire, but the harsh set of her shoulders made her look untouchable.
By the time you reached your newly fixed car, the silence had grown unbearable. Wanda tugged open the passenger door before you even unlocked it, sliding inside like she owned the seat. You hesitated for a moment, staring at her through the glass.
When you finally slipped behind the wheel, the air between you felt charged, suffocating. You turned the key in the ignition, the engine purring to life, but neither of you moved to break the quiet.
It was Wanda who finally spoke, her voice low, dangerous in its calm.
"Just don't expect me to sit there smiling while she makes eyes at you the whole night."
You tightened your grip on the steering wheel, pulse quickening. "She's not-"
"Please," Wanda cut in, turning her head toward the window. "I've seen the way she looks at you."
Her reflection in the glass was sharp, eyes glinting with something you couldn't quite name.. Something that wasn't entirely anger but wasn't innocence either. And just like that, the car filled with silence again, heavier than before.
---
The parking lot was already packed by the time you pulled up to your university. It was filled with students excited to watch their team compete. Archery was surprisingly a popular sport since your team, led by Kate, dominated throughout the season.
You eased into one of the last open spots, the buzz of voices carrying even through the closed windows. Wanda hadn't spoken the entire ride, her arms folded as she stared ahead. When you killed the engine, she finally turned her head toward the crowd outside, lips pursed.
"Looks like she'll have plenty of fans tonight," she muttered, her tone sharp but quiet enough you might've missed it if you weren't listening.
You glanced at her. "It's a competition, Wanda. People show up for this stuff."
Her eyes flicked to you, lingering for a second too long before she pushed the door open and stepped out.
You followed, tugging the hoodie tighter around yourself. The night air carried the faint smell of popcorn from the concession stands, the rhythmic thud of arrows meeting targets echoing faintly from inside the gym. Groups of students in purple-and-silver school colors streamed past you, laughter and chatter bouncing off the concrete walls.
Wanda fell into step beside you, close enough that your shoulders brushed as you made your way toward the entrance. Her silence said more than words ever could, her presence tethering you tightly even as the sound of Kate's name being shouted from somewhere up ahead made your stomach flip.
When you reached the wide double doors of the gymnasium, Wanda finally spoke, her voice low. "Let's just get this over with."
But the way her hand brushed yours was brief, hesitant, almost like she didn't realize she'd done it. It made you wonder if she meant more than she was willing to say.
The gymnasium was buzzing when you and Wanda slipped inside, the overhead lights blazing down onto the polished floor. Bleachers were already packed, the sound of chatter and cheers bouncing off the walls. Purple-and-silver banners hung above the court, each stamped with your university's mascot and a bold ARCHERY TEAM CHAMPIONS across the fabric. Down on the floor, the team was already warming up. Rows of targets lined the far wall, circles of red, blue, and yellow glinting under the light. Arrows thudded into them rhythmically as players practiced their shots.
"Wow," you whispered, your eyes sweeping across the scene. You'd only ever seen glimpses of practice before, never the full competition setup. "It's intense."
Beside you, Wanda's arms folded over her chest as she scanned the gym. "It's... loud."
You smirked. "You mean fun."
Her lips pressed into a thin line, but she followed you up the bleachers anyway, muttering, "If you say so."
You found a spot in the middle rows with a clear view of the range. The moment you sat down, the crowd erupted as the team captain stepped onto the line. Kate Bishop.
She wore her uniform like she was born for it. She had tight black athletic leggings, a fitted purple-and-silver jersey, hair tied back into a slick ponytail. Her bow gleamed under the lights, sleek and polished, like an extension of her body. She raised it effortlessly, muscles in her arms flexing as she drew back the string.
"Wow," you breathed again before you could stop yourself.
Next to you, Wanda's head whipped toward you so fast you worried she'd get whiplash. "You've said that twice now."
You flushed, looking down. "Well... she is the best."
"Mm." Wanda's unimpressed hum carried a sharp edge.
Kate glanced up into the stands just as she released her arrow. Thwack. It landed dead-center in the bullseye. Instead of celebrating with her team, her eyes found you. And when they did, she smirked.
"Oh my god," Wanda muttered. "She's showing off."
Your lips twitched. "Maybe she's just... saying hi?"
"She could wave, like a normal person."
Down on the floor, another player lined up, a tall guy with shaggy blond hair. His arrow hit solidly in the yellow ring, drawing cheers from a section of the crowd. Kate clapped for him, but her attention kept slipping back to the bleachers where you sat.
You caught her eye once more, and she lifted two fingers in a playful salute.
Wanda made a strangled noise. "She did not just-"
"She did," you said, biting back a laugh.
The competition rolled on, archers stepping up one after another, but Kate was magnetic. Every time she took her place, she moved with a confidence that drew all eyes. She would line up, draw, pause, and then without fail, she'd sneak a glance your way, lips quirking like she was in on a private joke only you understood.
At one point, when she landed yet another perfect bullseye, she turned slightly and mouthed, that one's for you.
Wanda nearly choked. "You've got to be kidding me."
"She's... friendly," you tried, though your grin probably betrayed you.
"Friendly? That's not friendly, Y/n, that's flirting, clear as day."
You laughed, unable to help it, and Wanda elbowed you lightly in the ribs. "Don't encourage her."
But even as she said it, her knee brushed against yours and stayed there, the contact grounding, possessive in its own way. You felt your breath catch again, and your focus was momentarily broken.
By the final round, the energy in the gym was electric. The scores were close, and Kate's team was neck and neck with their rivals. The crowd hushed as she stepped up for the deciding shot, the last arrow of the night. You held your breath, your pulse racing even though you weren't the one holding the bow. Kate drew back, gaze fixed on the target... Until, at the very last second, her eyes flicked to you again. She winked.
The arrow flew.
Thwack.
Bullseye.
The bleachers exploded in cheers, students stomping and screaming as the announcer shouted that the team had clinched the win. Kate lowered her bow with a grin, soaking in the adoration, but when her eyes cut back to you, her smile softened, as though none of it mattered except your reaction.
Wanda groaned, burying her face in her hands. "I can't watch this anymore."
You laughed, nudging her with your shoulder. "What? Afraid she's going to charm me away?"
Her hands dropped, her eyes blazing with something you couldn't quite name. "She's trying, Y/n. Don't pretend she isn't."
And when you looked back down at Kate, who was now bowing theatrically to the crowd before flashing you another infuriatingly charming smile, you had to admit, Wanda wasn't wrong. The roar of the crowd still echoed when the team filed off the floor, bows slung over their shoulders. You stayed seated, caught somewhere between awe and nerves, while Wanda fumed beside you.
"She's going to come up here," Wanda muttered, almost to herself.
You blinked at her. "What?"
"She's not going to leave you alone now. Watch."
As if on cue, Kate appeared at the edge of the bleachers, sweaty and grinning like she owned the place. She skipped the congratulations from friends, skipped the pats on the back. Her eyes found you immediately, and she started climbing.
"Called it," Wanda said under her breath.
"Hey!" Kate's voice was bright as she reached your row. She looked flushed, glowing from the win, bow still dangling at her side. "Did you see that last shot?"
"You were amazing," you admitted, and the way her smile widened made your chest tighten.
"Thanks," she said, gaze locked on you before flicking - deliberately - to Wanda. "Glad you made it too, Wands."
Wanda's jaw clenched. "Don't call me that."
The air between them crackled, invisible lines being drawn. You could feel people brushing past, filing out of the bleachers, but it all faded to the background.
"What? I'm just being friendly." Kate leaned closer, smirk tugging at her lips. Her bow was still slung casually at her side, sweat on her brow only making her look more self-assured. "So," she said, eyes flicking from you to Wanda and back again, "are we celebrating after this? I know a good place."
Wanda's whole body tensed beside you. Arms folded. Jaw locked. You could feel the anger radiating off her.
"No," she said flatly.
Kate raised a brow, amused. "Wasn't asking you."
That was it. Wanda shot to her feet, glaring down at her. "Do you ever stop? Or is this-" she gestured between you and Kate "-just another game to you?"
"Wanda-" you tried, but she wasn't listening.
"You don't get to stand here and look at her like that. You don't get to act like she's yours."
Kate froze, startled by the sharpness in her voice. But before anyone could say more, Wanda turned and stormed down the bleachers, shoving her way out the gym doors.
Your chest tightened. You glanced at Kate, whose usual smirk had softened into something unreadable. Your head swiveled, whipping between the raven-haired girl in front of you and the redhead who was storming off. As you watched her slip through the crowd, you didn't think twice, springing to your feet and bolting after her.
The hallway outside was dim and mostly empty. You found Wanda at the end near the trophy cases, her palms pressed against the glass, her shoulders shaking as she fought to hold herself together.
"Wanda," you said, stepping closer.
She whipped around, eyes blazing, voice harsh. "You shouldn't have followed me."
"I had to," you countered. "Talk to me."
Her fists clenched at her sides. For a long moment you thought she'd shut you out, but then her voice cracked, spilling over.
"I can't do this anymore," she said, almost choking on the words. "I can't sit there and pretend like it doesn't rip me apart every time I see you with her. Every time I see her touching you, looking at you like she knows something I don't."
Her eyes glistened. She shook her head, biting down on the words like they tasted bitter.
"And the worst part? I don't get to say anything. Because I'm with him." Her voice dropped lower, raw. "I'm supposed to love him. I'm supposed to smile and play perfect girlfriend while the only person I want is sitting right in front of me-" her gaze snapped to yours, fierce through the tears, "-and she isn't mine."
Your breath caught.
"I love you, Y/n," she admitted, finally letting it out. "I've tried to bury it, I've tried to drown it in someone safe and predictable, but it doesn't go away. It's you. It's always been you."
She laughed then, sharp and humorless, wiping at her face. "God, do you have any idea how much I hate myself for this? For wishing it was your hand I was holding when he kisses me? For wanting you in ways I'm not supposed to want at all?"
The silence that followed was deafening. She stood trembling, her confession laid bare like a wound. You froze in front of her, mouth open. She sighed, her shoulder deflating, taking your silence as her answer.
Without thinking, you crashed your lips onto hers.
Wanda stiffened for a fraction of a second, shock flashing across her features, before she melted against you, her arms wrapping around your neck as if afraid you'd disappear if she didn't hold on. The heat of her body pressed into yours, and suddenly the hallway felt impossibly small, crowded only by the two of you and the roaring silence of everything unsaid.
Her lips were soft but urgent, tentative at first, then claiming, searching, as though she'd been waiting for this moment for years. You could feel the tension, the jealousy, the guilt, the longing, twisting in her chest and spilling into yours. Your mouth moved against hers, intoxicated by her taste, and she felt your hands roaming around her body.
"I... I shouldn't," she gasped against your mouth, pulling back just enough to breathe, her forehead resting against yours. "I'm with him... I-"
"Shh," you murmured, pressing a hand to the side of her face. "Forget him. Just... right now, it's us."
Her eyes fluttered closed again, and she leaned into your touch. The green of her irises was impossibly bright in the dim hallway light, and you could see every flicker of emotion mirrored there: relief, fear, desire, and something fiercely protective.
When she finally pulled back enough to speak, her voice was barely a whisper. "I can't believe I'm doing this. But I... I've wanted you for so long, Y/n." Her thumb brushed gently against your cheek as she spoke, leaving behind burning heat where she touched you that matched your desire for her.
You smiled against her lips, resting your forehead against hers. "Me too. It's always been you. I was just too scared to tell you."
For the first time that night, both of you breathed freely, the tension and the waiting finally breaking, replaced by the love pouring from both of you.
Just a Friend (w.m) - Part One
summary<3:Â You've been pining after your best friend, Wanda, for years, but she seems too wrapped up with her boyfriend to notice your crush. Suddenly, a flirty archer causes Wanda to re-evaluate what she wants out of your relationship.

It was 6:30 AM when the alarm on your phone started screeching through your room. The sunlight had already begun to bleed through the blinds, falling in sharp golden slats across your sheets. You groaned, turning over and dragging the blanket above your head. The phone was somewhere on your nightstand, but your arm fumbled against nothing but wood and tangled earbuds. Eventually, you gave up, surrendering to the sound.
Classical music now poured from the speaker-meant to be calming, but at this hour it was more irritating than peaceful. You were about to bury your face deeper into the pillow when, without warning, the music cut off completely. You blinked groggily and peeked up, confused.
Wanda was standing over you, the corner of her lips tugged upward in amusement. Her long auburn hair fell loosely over her shoulder, and the early morning sun seemed to catch in it like firelight.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," Wanda said, her voice warm and teasing. She plopped down on the edge of your mattress, her presence immediately filling the space. Without hesitation, she ran her fingers through your messy hair, nails grazing your scalp in a way that made your skin prickle.
Your breath hitched before you quickly looked away, willing yourself not to react. It was just Wanda being Wanda: affectionate, casual, oblivious. You cursed yourself for being so easy to unravel by a simple touch.
Wanda had been with Vision since her sophomore year, their "perfect high school sweetheart" story stretching into university. You had never understood the appeal. His arrogance, his habit of keeping score in conversations, his subtle digs at her when he thought nobody was paying attention-it all grated on you. Still, you tolerated him because Wanda loved him. Besides, your disdain for him definitely didn't have anything to do with the fact that you had been quietly admiring the redhead for years.
"Do we really have to go to class today?" you mumbled, turning toward her with a half-hearted pout. She giggled, and you watched how her nose scrunched when she smiled, green eyes twinkling at you. It was unfair how effortlessly she could make your chest ache. In your eyes, she couldn't be more perfect, but you knew that Wanda would never return your feelings, so you settled for what you could have: friendship. It was painful to watch her with someone else, but you would rather have part of her than none of her at all.
"Yes, we do," Wanda insisted, adopting a poor imitation of Stark's booming voice. "Mr. Stark said this lecture was un-skippable." She tugged at your hands until you reluctantly sat up, only to collapse against her shoulder with exaggerated weight.
"Nooo," you whined dramatically. "I'm still tired."
"You can sleep in class," she countered with a smirk. "Besides, Vision promised he'd pick us up, so at least we don't have to walk."
You cracked one eye open. "No, Vision promised to pick you up."
Her smile faltered as she crossed her arms in mock indignation. "C'mon, Y/n/n. You said you'd try to make an effort with him."
And you promised me that you wouldn't get a boyfriend who hated me, yet here we are." You fired back, immediately regretting it. You watched as the hurt flashed across Wanda's face, and guilt instantly pooled in your stomach.
"He doesn't hate you," she said quietly, her lips tugging down in that small pout that always weakened your resolve. She knew exactly what to do to make you agree. "You just haven't gotten to know him yet."
You sighed, softening. "Okay, fine. I'll try. I'll be nice."
Her expression brightened again, and you let yourself enjoy the way her eyes sparkled for just a moment too long.
---
By the time you and Wanda made it downstairs, Vision was leaning against his sleek car, jaw tight. He checked his watch in an exaggerated motion before fixing his gaze on you both. You could tell he was annoyed, and you rolled your eyes.
"We're going to be late," he clipped.
"Sorry, Vis, we lost track of time," Wanda said gently, always smoothing things over.
His eyes cut toward you like a blade. "You didn't mention I was giving her a ride too."
Your jaw clenched, but Wanda beat you to it. "Yes, I did. Y/n's car is still in the shop." Her voice was patient, but her fingers gripped the strap of her bag a little tighter.
He scoffed, muttering, "Whatever. Let's go."
The drive was tense. You stared out the window, pretending not to notice the way his hand sat possessively on Wanda's thigh, or the way she shifted uncomfortably under it.
---
Your lecture was boring, and despite Mr. Stark's claims that it would impossible to learn the subject on your own, you easily followed along, barely listening. Math and science had always been your strong suit, so you tuned out the endless drone of words until the class was finally dismissed. You had already slung your bag over your shoulder, making your way to the benches outside, only to collide into someone.
"Shoot, sorry!" A bright voice exclaimed.
You steadied the girl instinctively, and when you looked up, recognition hit instantly. Kate Bishop. Captain of the archery team. She was bright, bubbly and frustratingly attractive. You remembered sitting through a match with Wanda once, pretending not to notice how Kate's arms flexed each time she drew her bowstring. The girl was a legend within the archery community, known for pulling off ridiculous trick shots.
"All good, don't worry about it," you said, smiling politely.
Her brows lifted. "You're Y/n L/n, right?"
That startled you. "You... know my name?" You weren't exactly a social butterfly, and Kate Bishop was the peak of popularity.
"Of course I do," Kate grinned, casually confident. "I always remember pretty girls' names."
Heat shot to your cheeks before you could stop it. She noticed, and her teasing grin widened like she had won something.
Before you could think of a response, familiar arms slipped around your shoulders from behind. Wanda. Her perfume-a mix of rose and vanilla-wrapped around you as surely as her hold did. When you glanced at her, the expression on her face was nothing like her usual softness. She had a different look in her eyes as she stared past you at Kate. The bright emerald color had shifted to a darker green, and you swore she narrowed them on Kate like she was a threat.
"You should come to my practice later," Kate continued, oblivious to the other girl's icy glare.
You opened your mouth to answer, but Wanda's voice cut in smoothly. "Don't we have that group project tonight, Y/n?"
You blinked. "What? Wanda, we don't have any projects due."
"History course," she said flatly, smiling in a way that didn't reach her eyes.
Kate tilted her head, amused. "Oh, you're in that class too? Funny, I've never seen you there." Her gaze bounced between you and Wanda, widening suddenly. "Ohhh... you're girlfriends."
"What? No, we're not-"
But Wanda was already linking her arm with yours, tugging you away. "Bye, Kate! We've got to go!"
You stumbled to keep up with her brisk pace, heart pounding.
What the hell was that?
Wanda was always encouraging you to make new friends, so why was she suddenly ripping you away from Kate?
---
Vision was already waiting when Wanda practically shoved you into the car.
"What was that about?" he asked, suspicion lacing his tone.
"Nothing," Wanda snapped, slamming her door.
He glanced back at you. You just lifted your hands helplessly. "Don't look at me. I've got no clue."
Wanda crossed her arms tightly, staring out the window. "I just don't like her, okay?"
Your eyebrows shot up. "Well, I do."
She scoffed. "I bet she's a terrible shot."
You smirked. "Are you jealous, Wanda?"
She rolled her eyes but didn't answer.
Vision snorted. "Jealous? Please. Kate Bishop isn't even that hot."
You gave him a pointed look. "I'd beg to differ."
Wanda stiffened in the seat ahead of you, but she said nothing.
"So, what are we going to do tonight?" Vision asked, changing the subject."I'm tired. I just want to go home." Wanda's response was short, and her tone indicated that there was no room for argument."Fine." He dropped the two of you off at the front of your dorm building, and you headed upstairs together.
---
Back in your dorm, you shut the door and turned to her.
"Are you okay, Wands?"
"Yeah, yea, I'm fine." Her smile was fake, and you knew it.
You sat beside her on the couch, refusing to let it go. "Don't lie to me. I know you better than that."
Her shoulders slumped, and she let out a long breath. "It's stupid."
"What is?"
"I don't like seeing you with other girls," she admitted, words tumbling fast like she regretted them even as she said them. "It's selfish, and irrational, and I know I don't have the right-"
"Why do you care who I date, Wanda?" you pressed, heart hammering.
Wanda shook her head. Her lips parted, frustration flashing across her face. "Because I don't want to lose you, Y/n!"
The silence after was heavy, thick with everything unsaid. You reached out, laying a hand gently on her shoulder.
"You're not going to lose me," you said softly. "Not even if I become friends with Kate."
Wanda stared at you, green eyes stormy, and you stared back, swallowing thickly. Her eyes roamed your face, searching your expression before she looked down once more.
"I need to go study," she mumbled, standing up so quickly the couch cushions shifted. She disappeared into her room before you could form a reply, the soft click of the door closing leaving you in silence.
