Screens which you use to read an incoming phone call...So its like a text message of your phone call! Which is great if you're hard of hearing! Which is why you "Must certify that you have hearing loss and need a captioning service to use the phone" as well as "A high-speed internet connection" and most importantly a "Standard home phone connection". Once you have all of those, you can use this amazing service! And the best part...ITS FREE!! Yes free, after you fill and complete the appropriate Professional certification form...verified by a certified professional. :D All calls are monitored by a third party that dictates the conversation to a computer (most likely recording all data received) via Dragon Voice recognition software (which isn't good at capturing vocal inflection). This software then, in turn, translates the third party's dictation of your conversation into READABLE text for you to read! What's not to like? SO; Land-line phones with LCD, CERTIFIED HEARING LOSS (medically recognized), High-Speed internet, Land-line phone service, Third Party Dictation via Awful Software, Voice to Text translation! Sounds like a billion dollar company doesn't it? Right? Oh..yeah, the whole exploiting people with disabilities thing...yeahhhhh....we'll get back to you on that. FUNDED BY THE FCC! I guess when they say "Verizon Wireless Human Resources"; they are referring to the countless personal data they are hoarding...not their ability to be helpful and accommodating.
