I was debating pre- and post- smartphone existentialism with an older gentleman today and he stopped part way through and said “Why are you a security guard? Why aren’t you teaching this at some college somewhere?” And I didn’t know what to say so I went with “Well I used to make art but nobody pays an artist”

Also the ingenious loophole that he uses to get away with everything is based on his theory of how Santa Claus works.

And also he didn't have this genius loophole worked out BEFORE the fairy army was at his door with a nuclear bomb. He actually said he needed them to show up so he could prove it worked

monster hunter stories 1 fulfilled some things I always wanted from a pokémon type of game like, having your monsters be able to perform context required stuff for exploring without needing to teach them a skill, being able to switch your monsters elements (by transferring genes from other monsters here), reinforcing the "bonding" aspect with your monsters (by having your character fight alongside them) and having fast travel spots so it's easier to go back for stuff even in the early game

every few months i go back to check the comments for this comic and i’m constantly moved by how this comic i drew absentmindedly made an impact in the hearts of tumblr users. like i didn’t think this would happen
