“Its an old human drink…quite delicious, a favorite of mine. I understand your hesitation, but you would be right. No  human would approach you so easily.”

With a flick of her wrist, she popped open a gap to sit on and crossed her legs, while pulling a cup of tea out of a smaller gap.

“I’m just an observer, you could say? I’m not quite as old as you are, but I’ve been around for a good while now.”

Not quite as old; yeah, relatively, perhaps. For whatever she was, though... Well, the scent didn’t lie. That in addition to tipping him off to that whatever was in front of him wasn’t human. 

The moment she displayed that strange power, however, all bets were off.

“...Observer?”

The correlation to someone who was on an “outside” position brought him pause. 

There was a faint sound in the air, almost like the sound of a turbine winding to life, building in charge. A faint, blue glow began to emit from the raised plates running down the length of his spine.

“Well, you could join me for some tea and tell me about yourself…”

“Firstly, I don’t know what that is. Secondly, last time humans got more info on me than they needed, they nearly killed me to try and kill the thing I was killing just fine on my own.”

He pauses. Then, leaning forward, his eyes narrow.

SNNRK.

“Gojira hot…”

“...Can.

“...” His eyelids lower. “...That was him, wasn’t it?”

When you’re half dead, your consciousness tends to blink in and out. At the time, he’d barely processed her fishing him out and taking him to safety... But he’d been lucid enough to see it. A single, tiny human, small as a grain of sand compared to him, lay a hand on him for the first time...

...And then disappear in a blinding light, so that he could grow strong again. Stronger than he’d ever been before.

“I’ll list ‘em in whatever order I want; fuck off.” A low, annoyed rumble. “…The flyer’s a loose cannon, and a wuss besides. He’s strong, but he’s too flimsy. Runs when he thinks he can’t win. He’s gonna have to learn to follow through, because next time he acts up, I won’t hesitate to rip him open.”

A lower growl sounds in his chest as just thinking about the golden devil sparks his irritation.

“Damn prissy bastard… Thought he could just come onto MY world and take over…! I can’t even remember how many times I got woken up over the eons just to cave all three of his damned heads in, time and again…” A shake of the head. “Finally finished with him. Can’t believe it took you bugs pulling assist to finally get the job done, though…”

At the last one, he pauses. His posture seems to slack.

“…Hadn’t thought there was any of her kind left. I thought…like the rest of mine, they…”

He trails off.
