#i still can't believe ive had underdiagnosed ADHD all along #causing me to turn to substances and other impulsive shit #because dealing with life while having thoughts for 8 persons at the same time yet not being able to study sober anymore #and getting judged for failing #made me go batshit #i'm on meds now and i finally can fucking do shit like study when i want and sleep and not go crazy in certain situations #i might even have evenings and weekends off in a month!! because i finallly don't need 12 hours to study 1 page anymore!!#how did i get this far without meds i have no clue

i really hope i finally started the recovering people-pleaser phase. i’m so happy i found a term for it (found it myself on the internet after 2 therapists, but still i found one) that explained my behavior without it becoming an ‘illness’. i thought i was a fawner, but i honestly can’t give out compliments or comment on something positively when i don’t mean it. like i immediately recognize when people have certain qualities, i’m hypersensitive to that as i’ve always been studying why some people were liked and others weren’t and found that lots of the ‘unlikeable’ people had soo many good qualities whereas ‘likeable’ people weren’t perfect either

#i never thought i was one because the term sounded too positive #little did i know it meant the exact opposite #i always identified as egotistical

I think i have made an entire fool of myself yesterday talking to that exam comittee group on zoom but oh well i guess it was worth a try
