I find this woman so beautiful (see other photoshoots I reblogged here), I mean just look at those shots:

Muted earth tones kimono outfit, with a refined sasa (bamboo leaves) and ume (plum blossoms) kimono, paired with a quiet obi depicting kotoji (koto bridges, see pic below). The haori is a modern one by designer Jotaro Saito.

Quiet kimono with pine silhouettes on the hem, paired with janomegasa (snake eye umbrella) obi. I love how the blue of the “sky” behind the pine forest is echoed on the obi.

Fantastic formal outfit (OP wore it for New Year), pairing this breathtaking black furisode depicting oshidori (mandarin ducks) and hato (doves) under yukimochi-ume (snow covered plum branches) + a matching oshidori obi tied in fukura suzume (”puffed sparrow”) knot.

Matching antique kimono and obi, depicting shishi (lions) frolicking among luscious botan (peonies). This pattern association hints at noh play Shakkyo (the stone brigde).
