~ I see Knuckles as a very "I don't have to understand it to accept it" guy. He doesn't try to understand something before he decides if it's good or bad, just accepts it at face value. Someone's trans? Just tell him what they want to be called and he will call them that. This does lead to a lot of pranks being pulled on him though!

~ Knuckles has anger issues he is still learning to control. A lot of small things that don't matter make him really angry, and he often lashes out in anger at times when a fight would only make the situation worse. He is very aware of this issue and is getting better at managing it, but things like teasing are still huge triggers for violent outbursts.

~ Knuckles struggles to ask for help. He swears up and down that he can do it himself when he absolutely cannot and just doesn't want to feel humiliated and ask for help.

~ That being said, Knuckles doesn't like help when he doesn't need it. It makes him feel humiliated and embarrassed that someone helped him when he could have very easily done it himself.

~ If there was a contest for who could give the best "cold shoulder treatment" he would have multiple gold medals.

~ Knuckles isn't an introvert, but not really an extrovert either. He doesn't actively hate or try to avoid other people, but he does tend to stay in areas without many people as it's what he is used to.

~ Knuckles hates small talk. If it's not something he enjoys or something important, he doesn't want to hear about it. He doesn't care about other people's business!

~ Knuckles always looks like he's pissed about something- even when he isn't. He never seems to realize this and always get's confused when people get nervous about his glare.

~ Due to Knuckle's lack of social awareness and social skills, he often stares at people in public, stands in the way, touches and grabs random things that he's curious about, and generally things that are considered rude or annoying. He doesn't mean to be rude, he just has no idea those things aren't very socially acceptable. He is often asked to leave stores after grabbing a bunch of things to mess around with (and very likely breaking them...)

~ Continuing off of that, Knuckles often just walks away when someone is trying to talk to him. If he doesn't want to be there, he will leave with no explanation and you will not stop him.

~ Knuckles doesn't care for being called a 'hero' or receiving praise for doing something small. He appreciates praise as much as anyone, but unlike Sonic, he would prefer to be praised for something like stopping Eggman, not getting a cat out of a tree. It should be common sense to help someone who needs it!

~ Knuckles prefers to spend time outside, either training or just a nice stroll. He has no idea what the appeal of "Movies" or "Social Media" is, and is very confused about how people find entertainment in it. Why fight someone with words on a small rectangle when you can go actually fight them?? (Please do not give him access to twitter.com)

~ Knuckles practices meditation and is often seen in calm or peaceful places with his eyes closed. Knuckles actually joined a local meditation group and considers everyone in that group a friend. He gets very upset when his meditation is interrupted!

~ Knuckles makes friends with some of the most random and strangest people, it honestly concerning. The store owner of a small pawn shop? Knuckles greets them whenever he sees them. A traveling merchant that sells weird and creepy trinkets? They have an inside joke!

~ I don't feel like Knuckles cares for music. He doesn't hate it, but he doesn't really listen to it on his own time- Knuckles prefers the sounds of nature instead! That being said, he DESPISES pop music.

~ Fashion sense! I always love Sonic characters in clothes, so always include this in my headcanons. Knuckles would prefer loose clothes, clothes that show off his muscles and don't get in the way of his movement. He just prefers to wear tank tops and sweatpants or cargo pants. He may wear an athletic jacket on colder days. He prefers white, black, or green clothes to stand out against his Red.

~ He absolutely asked for Amy's help picking clothing colors and begged for her to keep it between the two of them, people can't know he asked for help! He has a reputation!

~ Knuckles still has his old cowboy hat and treats it like his child.

Sonic does get a little embarrassed by his friends in public though, he wants to keep his confident image, not look soft! However, this 'cool guy' facade completely drops the moment his friends look sad, angry, uncomfortable, etc.

Sonic loves going on runs through nature! He works so hard to protect every part of nature, he loves traveling to national parks and finding secret groves.

ALL About adventure! Boredom is never something on his schedule, if he's bored then the world is ending I swear, if you want to force him to sit down for a while he will become the most annoying little shit

Sonic most definitely has a twitch account and streams inconsistently. It's something there for him to do when he's bored and wants to play games.

Sonic actually hates being alone for long periods of time! That's another reason why he streams, is when he's lonely and wants to interact with someone.

Sonic is actually a rather patient hedgehog! He's willing to slow down for the people he cares about, he never wants anyone to feel unsafe around him.

Sonic, when you can actually get him to wear clothes, prefers 90s style, bright colors, hoodies, holographic clothes, and generally clothes that look great and colorful on him.

Sonic's music choice is rock, high-energy music, and generally anything that sounds good. He's willing to try out new things, and can enjoy a variety of things!

Sonic makes sure to greet everyone he meets when walking around. It doesn't matter what they look like, who they are, or what they're doing, he will make sure to say hi while running by!

As I said earlier, a HUGE extrovert. When you're with him, you WILL interact with random people, he doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut!

His mouth works faster than his brain, and he will say almost everything on his mind. He is forward and honest with everyone unless it's something he would prefer to keep to himself!

Sonic is very active on social media, and loves interacting with fans. He will respond to almost everything he gets, will always stop to take selfies with anyone who asks, and is the least controversial celebrity you will ever meet!

I think Sonic would enjoy receiving flowers and gifts, he would display them all around his house! He doesn't throw away a single one- unless it's something gross, like a small child tried to give him a half-eaten lollipop- he would still take it to avoid hurting their feelings but would throw it away and wash his hands later.

Two words. Self. Care. Sonic takes care of himself and makes sure to treat himself, and definitely makes sure all his friends do the same! He makes sure everyone eats at least 3 meals a day, drinks at least 1 glass of water, and takes showers at least twice a week. Self care is very important for everyone!

If you stumble over words or have a hard time getting what you want to say out, he would be very patient when trying to talk with you.

Sonic will make sure he understands you clearly. Emotions can be hard for people, and Sonic wants to make sure to ask questions if he feels he got something wrong. Despite being impatient, Sonic cares about his friends a lot and will slow down for them if he needs to!

His mouth works faster than his brain, and he will end up joking about your appearance a lot. However, If you're uncomfortable with that, he would instantly stop and apologize! In this house, we have respectful hedgehogs only.

Sonic is a very social extrovert and would try and help you with learning some social skills. You might be better off asking someone else for help though, learning social skills from a cocky blue hedgehog doesn't sound very productive...

Sonic would teach you how to be confident with yourself. So what if someone doesn't like how you look? That's their problem, not yours!

An extra perk of going into public with Sonic is a lot more people are willing to approach you. Sonic is famous for saving the world multiple times after all, so if someone is traveling with him that must mean they aren't so bad! He helps your reputation a lot, and that helps you make more friends and be more social!

He would go out of his way to defend you from rude comments and comfort you if the comments get to you. Anyone who insults his friends is in for a barrage of insults and challenges from Sonic!

Overall, I feel like he would be just an amazing friend no matter what you look like. He'll never comment on your appearance in a negative or non-joking way, even if he's upset. You're still better off asking someone else for help with expressing yourself better though!

Tails wouldn't be intimidated at all! He completely understands being bullied for physical appearance. He would love to talk to you and make a friend in a similar situation he was in before. He just has to pick up the courage to talk first!

With a lot of help from Tail's friends, he would eventually come up and try and talk to you- however, the first conversation was really awkward, and neither of you really knew what to say!

After a while of trying- congrats, you got yourself a little misfit friend, just like yourself. An intimidating person/animal walking around with a fluffy friendly fox is a rather odd sight.

Tails would have a hard time trying to decipher your emotions, tones, and what you actually mean- be patient with him, he's going to misunderstand a lot!

He's a bit of an introvert himself mostly due to nervousness, you two probably wouldn't hang out in public a lot. Tails prefers sharing interests and hobbies at home though, so that's fine with him!

He would be pretty helpful with teaching social skills, and would even offer to practice along with you! He needs to learn as well anyway, so may as well do it with a friend.

Tails would teach you how to be comfortable with yourself if you're insecure about your physical appearance. He found the courage to be comfortable with his, helping someone else with that problem is no big deal to him!

He would do everything he can to comfort you if insults get to you. He's not great at saying the right things or trying to help, but he is trying and that's what counts! Sometimes, hugging a fluffy fox is all you need.

Tails would defend you from insults as well, though he would do so in a more civilized manner than Sonic or Knuckles. He wouldn't insult or try to fight the person, just say that whatever insults they throw at you aren't true, and they should learn to respect people more and not judge based on appearance.

Overall, very helpful and sweet- you two fit together so well it's hard to imagine yourself not being friends!

I'm sorry, this knucklehead would think you're trying to start a fight with the way you're looking at him. This echidna isn't trusting unless you're manipulating him, or you prove you're trustworthy.

He would try to approach you and ask if you want to fight in an aggressive way- probably leaving you panicking and desperately trying to get out of this situation-

However, once he realizes you, in fact, just look scary and do NOT want to fight, he would calm down and try to understand the situation better

Knuckles would apologize and be rather embarrassed by his actions, and wouldn't leave you alone until you took his apology- he's a very honorable echidna, and would probably take you to get ice cream as an apology. He heard from Sonic that everyone likes ice cream! (Sorry if you have a sensitive mouth like me, you're not getting out of it!)

After that really rocky start, he would try to know you better, Knuckles also looks rather intimidating and is honestly relieved to find someone else in the same situation as him

More on "in the same situation"- no social skills buddies! This isolated echidna has trouble expressing his emotions well too and would be 0 help with social skills.

On the plus side, now you're not the only one embarrassing yourself in public, you have a friend to share your misery with!

Knuckles would take a *lot* of things you say the wrong way with your lack of emotion, and it's more of a hassle to clear up anything with Knuckles than you might think- don't hate him for it though, he's just trying to be helpful and showing that he cares for his friend!

He's the kind of "I take 0 bullshit" guy. Any insults result in a fight you have to break up, and Knuckles would eat his own arm if he ever insulted your physical appearance.

Knuckles is not very good with comforting either, he has a lot of bottled-up emotions himself. Not much help physically or verbally, but he'll still be there for you!

~ But, Shadow has a lot of trouble expressing his emotions. He does feel happiness, he just doesn't show it very well. He tries showing his appreciation and showing he's enjoying himself, but it comes across as cold and emotionless. This is something Shadow really wants to work on, but doesn't know how to

~ Shadow doesn't like guns, and actively avoids them due to his trauma with The Arc and Maria. It disgusts him when people suggest he buys a gun and hates when people depict him with a gun. He would never dream of shooting an animal, let alone a human being

~ He still has PTSD flashbacks and thinks about The Arc, but not as much. It's more on his days when he doesn't want to get up that his mind wanders back to that day. He does start thinking of the positive memories a lot more though, he's doing better

~ Shadow will not hesitate to help in serious situations. While he doesn't save people's cats from trees or run errands for anyone, he does think of people and genuinely wants to help. If someone is in serious trouble or another world-ending catastrophe is happening, he won't hesitate to jump in and help- even if it means sacrificing his own life.

~ Shadow is very nervous when it comes to public situations. He generally avoids going into public and keeps to himself- but if he has to, like joining his friends for some activities or buying something clothes from hot topic, he's pretty nervous with his actions and tries to avoid everyone. He would really appreciate everyone leaving him and ignoring him, but he's also a walking, talking, anthro edgy looking hedgehog...

~ He freezes up at random touches, and sometimes loud bangs. Even if it's someone slamming a door or hitting something, he jumps and jerks his head to look in the general direction of the sound. He's slowly getting over it, but it's hard to avoid reacting

~ Expanding more on being nervous, he often avoids eye contact when in public, and tries to ignore everyone by putting earbuds in his ears. He's always seen as edgy and unapproachable, when he really just wants people to leave him alone-

~ Music taste! I feel like it's obvious he likes rock, but I like to think he also likes chill videogame soundtracks. He despises rap and high energy music, probably hates country music too

~ I feel like Shadow wouldn't play video games, at least not very often. He doesn't see a point in wasting your time staring at a screen over laying in bed listening to music or hanging out with friends. However, if he were to play video games, I think he would go for games with long stories that take 100+ hours to beat, or escape from life games with no real point other than to have fun. I feel like his favorites would be the Persona series and Shin Megami Tensei. He would avoid shooters like Call of Duty because he doesn't see a point, and he dislikes guns

~ A personal headcanon, He enjoys animal crossing because he thinks it's something Maria would have enjoyed- it reminds Shadow of her. He has an animal crossing switch and a 5-star island, and his favorite villager is Pashmina, his starting villager. He once he talked to her so much she started to shoo him away. He got genuinely upset and asked his friends if he was too clingy the next day- and he's not even clingy!

~ Shadow isn't very 'nice' to everyone, but he's not rude or means either. He struggles talking to people he doesn't know, and often keeps quiet about his input on something unless he feels its necessary to say. He is a great listener though, and will listen to everything his friends say to him. He has a great memory, and often brings up things his friends forget

~ Avoids social media like the plague. He doesn't want to look at other people's bullshit, he's already depressed enough. He doesn't even have a social media account, and never bothers to check if someone is impersonating him

~ His clothing style! He does lean more towards edgy chains and hoodies, it just looks good on him. His favorite styles are street fashion, "I just walked out of hot topic", pants with a thousand pockets, hoodies over one-color tees, pleather, and sweatpants. He avoids spikes and chokers, and only wears fake ear piercings

~ I like to headcanon Shadow doesn't know how to relax very well- Rouge once suggested he sit in a hot spring for a while to help relax, and he decided to try it. He's now very fond of hot springs and hot water in general, it's very relaxing to him

~ Overall, Shadow is far from "The Perfect Lifeform", especially mentally, and definitely has some edge to him- but isn't as edgy as people like to think and interpret him as. I don't think of him as a "soft boy" or an "I can fix him" (he's fixed himself let's be honest), just a depressed introvert who comes off as edgy.
