She sat down and watched the scene where Luka, Marinette and Adrien are discussing their future careers.

Then she turned to me and said “Luka would be chill with a throuple” then walked away.

She came back a few minutes later and explained to me that Luka is pan cause “he’s into their inner-melodies, not what’s on the outside”.

Also my dad walked in when the “Look! Look! I’m a cucumber!” Part came on and he walked out whispering “wtf is this fucking show”

And. Honestly?

That’s how I feel anytime a new episode drops.

I’m looking at you, MCU Academic Decathlon.

I watched season 2 episodes 4-7 today. (Whoever decided episode 6 needed to end like that, I hate you.)

Can I smack the person I was when I decided to ignore the hype.

Dean Gate, aka Doorman, one of the hero’s in the New York special, is also the Doorman who works at the Le Grade Paris.

I know, I know, it’s probably just them getting lazy over the character models, and reusing one that they had for an abandoned character, but.

It makes sense!

His super power is the ability to make PORTALS out of DOORS.

His super hero name is DOORMAN.

He gets a job in PARIS as a DOORMAN.

I mean. It’s just too much of a coincidence for them to not do this on purpose, whether it be pure laziness or actual story.

Now, here’s my theory:

Dean Gate is secretly the United Heroez ultimate spy, who has numerous different identities across the world, including the two that we see here, both Dean Gate/Doorman & the doorman at Le Grande Paris.

Barbara/Knightowl & Olympia/Majestia (aka, the yuri version of superbat) were pretty upset when Ladybug, Chat Noir & Hawkmoth started causing incidents in New York.

I can 100% see them learning of the situation in Paris during in season one, and having a discussion about whether they should involve themselves.

They eventually come to the conclusion that the best course of action is to send Dean Gate over to adopt a secret identity in Paris to keep an eye on things.

So he gets a job at Le Grande Paris, which is the home to one of the students in the class that seems to get akumatized waaaayyy to much for the number of people who live in Paris.

He’s there for to:

Observe the new magical forces attacking the city.

Observe the two young superheroes who just made their debut.

Observe and decide if this magic is a threat to New York City, and worthy of the United Heroez involvement.

I know at this point this next part is a bit of a stretch, but he also could do this for multiple of the other cities that have strange magical situations happening.

Tokyo, Shanghai, especially with what happened after their specials. Doorman is like, the worldwide observer of super events and reports back.

The ultimate spy.

I know this is a bit over the top, but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it!

I kinda thought a fanfic about this might be interesting and was thinking about writing one, maybe.

But anyway.

Maybe it was the animators being lazy.

Or maybe the doorman is just one of Dean Gate’s many identities.

She needs to return to us because I just finished consuming media and haven’t been able to do my deep dive into fanfic yet 😭😭😭

Moving on.

It’s probably just Ray coming up with a silly little scheme and they forced this other guy to help them.

I mean, Adrien’s literally watching them in the corner. He’s probably suspicious. Hopefully. I dunno.

The only thing that makes me think it’s Marinette’s is the yo-yo. But still, maybe they’re just rage baiting us again.

At least it’s looking like we’re getting Adrien’s transformation! Finally!

That’s all I really got. I don’t have too many thoughts, and honestly, with how much this show has got me excited and then disappointed me on so many different levels in the past, I’m just not going to get my hopes up.

Guess we’ll see what happens when the episode comes out.

I was told “that makes so much sense you have so much in common.”

I’m not even offended. That statement was much too accurate for me to be.

For those who don’t know:

My bff has a show choir crush.

I helped her make thirst edit.

Will she ever see this man again? No, his group was from out of state and will probably never return to said comp again.

Did that stop us from spending the entire bus ride working on a thirst edit?

I love the AU’s and stuff like that, but I would love if I could find something that takes place during a season.

Like, for example, it’s a rewrite of season five but it has lava in it, so they have to figure out how to deal with the ghost thing.

Or a lava fic about Cole’s fall from season 10, or maybe Kai’s pov of the whole Jay Cole fight over Nya from season 3. Maybe something from their time in the first realm?

Just something involving events that occur in the show that includes lava.

Listen, they both got fire powers.

They both have dragons.

They both are in a rocky relationship with their love interest (Leo and Calypso have the will-they-won’t-they in the Dark Prophecy, Skylor rejects Kai after he asks her out in crystallized).

They both like talking about how attractive they are (Kai definitely does it more, but still).

I dunno.

I just feel like they would get along.
