full biography-
Tyler Michael Jameson was the only child of Arla and Tim and he was the apple of their eye for his whole childhood. They didn’t have much when Tyler was growing up, but they were happy with their little life in Madison. A shy and quiet boy all throughout his youth, Tyler was never the popular kid in school but he had enough friends to satisfy him. He learned a lot about people by listening, letting people tell him all their secrets while not divulging any of his own. Weeknights at the Jameson house were spent working in the shed with his dad or helping his mama cook up dinner after his homework was done. He learned to ride a horse by the age of seven and had his own thoroughbred, he named her Eclipse, boarded at Oakdale Ranch by his eighth birthday. Weekends were spent with his horse or out in nature somewhere down by the river, playing in the water with his friends.
When he got to high school, Tyler fell in love with a girl who would change his whole world. He never saw himself as someone to fall like that but he did, it was fast and it was more serious than a kid his age was expected to feel. The two were inseparable, spending all their time together for the next two years. But as young love often does, the pair found themselves at a crossroads when Tyler’s mother got a job in Savannah after sophomore year and he had to leave her behind. As much as he wanted to, Tyler couldn’t ask her to wait for him, even if he would be back every summer until he turned 18 and the two could be together again. And so, despite her begging him not to do it, Tyler broke her heart and left for Savannah.
Every summer he was back in town, staying with his grandparents until August rolled around and it was time to go home, but Tyler never lost his love of Madison. Once he finished high school, Tyler was off to Savannah State University where he spent the next four years working on a degree he’d never use again. It wasn’t until he saved a fellow classmate’s life at a dinner party one night that he realized what his true passion was and immediately enrolled in the fire academy to start working to be a firefighter and a paramedic. Once he’d finished there, he started working at Station 57 in Savannah where he stayed right up until his mama got sick.
Tyler cared for his mother for two years as she fought against an aggressive brain cancer that eventually took her life. He watched her fade away from the once vibrant and amazing person she was into just a shell of the woman she used to be. After Arla died, Tyler and his father moved back to Madison where she was buried and he hasn’t left since, getting a job at the local fire station and falling back into the simple life he once knew.
Though he’s kind and thoughtful, Tyler is reserved and doesn’t talk a whole lot unless someone talks to him first. He cares about other people and has always been the first one to step up when someone needs help. He keeps his feelings locked up tight in his chest and isn’t looking for a reason to change that just yet, but the right person might be able to get him to open up in time.
