Misfortune Deluxe (呪いの誕生 "Birth of a Curse"): Can inflict her misfortune curse to someone else of her choice for a certain period of time, however, as her curse is deemed very dangerous and could be life-threatening, she rarely ever use it.

🎮 Background 🎮

It all starts with a simple wish, a simple desire to be more successful, more famous in business. The two of them thought that by using such a method, no one will notice or question it, after all, cheating is such a common thing in this world, and not all businesses are pure or genuine. But that also was the start of the biggest sin they could have committed. The ancient spirits immediately took notice of their actions, and it was too late to redeem by then. They got their deserved punishment - their next newborn child would be cursed with misfortune for the rest of this little soul's life. At first, the two of them thought it was nothing too severe, considering how it's just being unlucky... And that was their second mistake.

After all, misfortune isn't meant to be taken lightly.

🎮 Trivia 🎮

Being born with a curse of misfortune since birth, she often gets into accidents or injured herself even with the smallest object or tripped by herself. Because of this she is seen with many bandages or some sort around her body.

She has shark-like teeth and pointy ears, as it's a hereditary trait from her family since they also got the same features according to her. She feels shy to grin or smile most of the time due to this as well.

She also has quite a lot of scars due to the past injuries or accidents in the past.

Her favorite character is called "Mister Pandie the Red Ghost" or Pandie for short, he is a mascot of her favorite game series and she often seen carrying a keychain of him around or just put him in the pocket. She also loves collecting merchandises of him.

Despite her gloomy nature most of the time, if the right "switch" is on, she'll become an entirely different person - more serious, competitive and confident especially if it's with magical shift or playing games. (She doesn't realize how she acts though)

Initially, she was going to join the Board Game club as other clubs scares her, but due to her curse, she accidentally applied to Magical Shift by accident. Although she is actually good at the said activity, her gloomy nature makes people look down on her easily only for them to regret it later on afterwards the moment she got fired up.

She can multitask easily as she's ambidextrous and also quick to memorize or pick up the pace of her work especially if she works alone. However she's bad with working in groups as her anxiety would spike up when she got surrounded by strangers or even with classmates.

Her most favorite game genre is RPG and action-oriented while her least favorite is novel-based or gacha-related as she got no luck at all playing those games.

One time as a kid, she accidentally chokes on mustard by accident when eating and was coughing and crying so hard, hence why mustard is her least favorite food and she is scared to taste it even until now.

Made in Mirror ( 囚われの乙女 "The Trapped Maiden"): Can trap someone else and prison them inside a mirror for a chosen period of time. As long as there's a mirror around, she can use her unique magic with no troubles.

Yveline's earliest memory was when she was with her older brother, listening to their father talking about fashion and the beauty of dressing up. The little girl was so fascinated at that moment, she wants to try out various kind of clothing, or make-up, or maybe just some simple accessories will do even. She would often look at herself in the mirror, checking out her new appearance while asking her brother which would suits her the best. She enjoys the feeling of dressing up, the result of spending efforts to make herself looks pretty. The Schoenheit siblings both understand that beauty isn't something you can get naturally, and also not something to conceal away.

Her fondest memory when she was a young child is her first photoshoot. She still remembers the anxiety, but also the sensation lingering on her fingertips when the camera, lighting, and people's gaze are all on her. It was a complete success, with her brother being the first person to congratulate her with a smile, she felt like she could belong to the spotlight of modeling with confidence, her father too, was very proud of her and support her career fully from that point onwards.

Her motif and theme are based off the Evil Queen's magic mirror.

She always wear make-up no matter the outfit, with her dorm uniform make-up a bit darker and more saturated while for school it's light and natural. She likes to learn new make-up tips and sometimes ask her brother for advices.

She always carries a hand mirror with her most of the times so she can use her unique magic if it's needed. The mirror was a gift from Vil to her on one of her birthdays and she cherish it a lot.

The red ribbon with apple flowers pattern is a gift from her dad when she was just a little kid and she also cherish it a lot, often wearing it on her hair or with her outfits.

She works as a professional model and often takes photoshoots for fashion or make-up brands outside of her school hours. Occasionally, she also works as a print model.

She has 3 million followers on Magicam and is quite popular in the school, though she isn't prideful about her fame and is quite humble about it.

She likes making herbal products, such as soap, skin care products or cosmetics. It also explains why she often smells like fragrant, flower-scented herbs as she likes to spend a lot of times studying and growing them in her mini garden.

She often hangs out at the school's botanical garden and likes to take care of the plants there as well as the herbs.

The song talks about embracing the unknown and excitement the world offers to us while also having fun, encouraging us to have faith in the wondrous possibilities, while also embracing the failure and mistakes with laughter and positivity. I’d say it’s a perfect song for Kalim, from the vibe to the lyrics!

Like a ghost who is almost invisible to other’s eyes, Jamil used to do the same too, he always makes sure everything he does is at an average level so nobody will notice him. That’s why I picked this song for him, also because of the lyrics - he’s used to losing, to not be able to shine and stand out for the sake of others, and it’s not something he dreamt of at all. Also I think the city here can be interpreted as Scarabia too, because he still wants to be here despite everything that happened in Book 4.

This song is pretty self-explanatory with the lyrics, it’s like someone views their life as a movie, their story is like an unchanged script, yet they’re being satisfied with everything - they want to be the leading star, the protagonist of the movie. Being someone who always has to play the villain role, I picked this song for Vil because it just fits him so much with his backstory and his goal as a whole!

A song talking about the struggle of growing up, trying to find one’s place in this vast world, the singer desires to be loved and appreciated but always gets misunderstood and underappreciated and also frustrated with society,  just like Epel himself. He hates being the stereotype, cliche thing. If you know his story and goal then this song is very fitting for him! Also the funky, youthful but somewhat fast beat and lyrics fit him very well too!

Rook: Liar Dance

Rook is a bit hard to find, but in my opinion this is the best song for him. It talks about a couple who both hide and lie to each other. But it also means that the singer’s POV is them knowing they’re a liar, a criminal just like other people. Rook himself is not an exception, he also lies and hides many things away even to his friends or someone like Vil. Also I think the lyrics fit him really well, with constant mention of love and lies many times throughout.

While there could be many other songs that fit Idia, I decided to pick this one because of the lyrics and overall meaning. The song talks about indulging solely into one’s interests and favorite thing everyday, almost every time without paying much attention to reality much at all. Even though the singer sounds happy and satisfied, they also sound lonely, deprived of energy and strength and also longing for actual companionship instead of coping up to the things that they like. It sounds like Idia himself after what happened to him and also his backstory!

This song is gentle, yet emotional and bittersweet, its meaning also fits Ortho and Idia + their relationship a lot if you take it into their backstory context too. At first, Ortho is just a robot that only acts according to how he was programmed but gradually, he starts acting outside his intended programming and learns his own sentience and emotions - just like the robot girl as the song progresses. Overall, I think this fits him a lot!

I feel like this song fits Malleus the most with how the lyrics constantly talk about one’s loneliness and about past’s memories. For Malleus, his biggest fear perhaps is his dearest, most cherished people leave his life, like Lilia - his guardian that raises him up ever since he’s still a little lizard or maybe even MC - his ever first friend that treats him so dearly despite his status or his fearful magic power unlike others who is afraid of him. Even the beat is also beautiful but sad, full of longing for your loved one when they leave - just like Malleus himself.

I feel like this song fits Lilia the most in terms of the vibe, the lyrics that matched well with his backstory. This song, while sad, full of longing and reminiscent from the past yet it’s like a glimmer of hope somewhere in the deep, dark sea of sad memories. Lilia was the same too despite how we see him acting outwardly. He gives love to others, but he also needs love and hope. He went through events that could crush him easily and yet, he still stayed strong - for a whole 200+ years, for the sake of others. (I recommend checking out the 25ji, Night Code de version too!)

I think this song fits Silver a lot mostly because of the lyrics, and the deep sea could symbolize the dreams that he dives into in Book 7. Although it’s upbeat, the lyrics are full of longing and reminiscing of the past and also his father, but eventually move on and “grow up” from it.  Not to mention, you could even take it as a SilverMC song if you think about that aspect! But even if it's not in a romantic sense, it's still a song talking about how much the past affects us and how we long for our loved one even if it's just a memory, that's why to me this song is really for Silver!

Sebek was the hardest to find for me in the entire list mainly because while he has his own character, he doesn’t have too much depth but I tried my best and I think this song fits him the most! This song is powerful, full of willpower and hope towards tomorrow despite the hard, tough times. The song encourages us to keep living, even in the most uncertain moments, you need to cherish each moment of your life as well your living heartbeat, which represents the tenacity and perseverance of life. I feel like the energy as well the meaning of the song fits Sebek a lot overall for his character - with the desire to rise, stand up and protect he always have.

Pretty self-explanatory from the lyrics if you remember Riddle’s backstory with his strict, controlling mother. His entire life up until he became a student has been under his mom’s influence and it ended up him being too strict even to himself and his emotions - just like the meaning of the song too.

Being a rebellious person, I’m thinking this song fits Ace the most as it’s about questioning the flawed system, questioning one’s being and purpose and that if we have to keep living under some sort of authority for the rest of our life. As you can already see how he acts in Book 1 towards Riddle - defying authority, questioning it, and being rebellious about it.

I picked this song for Deuce because of the lyrics, but also the beat and the meaning. The strong, powerful beat with the fast rap part really fit him don’t you think? The lyrics speaks of the struggle of going against the grain and choosing a life of freedom, although it comes with an effort and the ability to face everything life throws at us. We need to take a leap of faith and not settle for anything less than what we truly want, emphasizes the importance of taking a risk and restarting, not worrying about the reason or justifications for doing so, just like how Deuce acts in general with his goal and dream.

Trey gives me a melancholic, casual and mature vibe, like an older brother who you can depend on anytime and he would give you his usual smile. That’s why I picked this song for him, although he always helps out everyone but I feel like he can be lonely sometimes, like perhaps he would need a helping hand or maybe some support. When I read the lyrics I think of him! I want to interpret it as Heartslabyul to Trey, who’s been always working hard for the dorm, and it’s the message that he might want to hear the most!

I know it might sound like it doesn’t fit him but in my opinion, this song sums up Cater as a character. We haven’t seen much of him in actual depth, but I definitely think he has more than he just appears. This song talks about how a person can mask and deceive themselves in lies, they’re aware of it, but they have to put it up in order to meet societal expectations. A constructed image or persona - the “fake” that they created and now they struggle to reconcile with their true self, and I think he is like that as well. (Aniplex please more Cater content for us we're waiting-)

The song is about one wanting to disappear, wanting to kill their old self and erase everything as if it’s like falling asleep. Though I think this song can be interpreted as having depression - and from what we see going on with Leona, I feel like he does show signs of it, I wish they would dive deeper into his story in Book 2 though! Other than that, I feel like the lyrics in here suit him a lot, especially the “sleep” part in the lyrics.

I think this song fits Jack a lot, the vibe is definitely for him but also the lyrics as well. The headstrong vibe, full of uncertainty but also full of hope for tomorrow, despite feeling hopeless at times but what is important is never give up and head forward to the future. The song’s meaning is to convey resilience, independence, and the importance of cherishing the present moment even when you’re uncertain about some things. You could also take this as a JackMC song haha, It just fits him a lot imo!

This song fits Ruggie a lot in terms of lyrics, with numerous mentions of rags and junk and collecting them together to the longing of being your own self instead of being in someone else’s shadow and chasing after them. The singer compares themselves to a piece of junk or trash as they think of themselves lowly, just like Ruggie himself. The mention of moonlight here represents the singer’s ideal that they always chase after, like Ruggie’s life goal. Overall, the vibe of the song fit him a lot! (I recommend checking out the Vivid Bad Squad version too!)

I feel like the song is pretty self-explanatory, as you can see with the lyrics. It just fits Jade’s job and his approach to the “targets” and lure them into signing a contract with Azul, but it’s probably just more than the said goal… But you can never tell with that smile of his as his “kind” words accompany his looks. Until you realized you fell into the trap and become one of Azul’s underlings due to the contract (at least, until post-Book 3, but who knows)

- I feel like he would be conscious of how he looks and his height but doesn't act too worked up over it, so if his partner is hella tall then he probably won't be bothered much unless they tease him about it. However if his partner is both tall and physically strong then he'll be very impressed at their strength instead! Probably asking things like what's their training methods or things like how to improve your muscles, etc. - He probably thinks it's a bit troublesome that he gotta look up to you every time you two are chatting, but as long as there's no teasing at him then he won't pay attention to that much, he won't admit he's secretly jealous of your height though... Okay, he will be, just a little bit, but afterward he just thinks about how cool you are when you always appear a head taller than most people in school and how it's so easy to spot you among the crowd. - Despite being fairly short, I think Lilia never gets bothered in the slightest mainly because he can teleport or float in the air like a bat he is. So even if his partner is insanely tall, he can just float up to their eye level with ease and even use their shoulders for leaning support. (he's just being the silly he is yknow) - But he would be fairly impressed for sure with how tall you're as you easily stand out in the crowd with your head above others or how easily it is to spot you. He thinks it's cool how humans can be so tall but also so short, it's really fascinating for a fae like him! - He can easily take books from the highest shelf or reach out for that one apple hanging on the tree, but sometimes, this guy would start acting like the tease he is and ask you to get it for him. "But you can just float?" "Hoho, but I'm feeling like walking today though~" and just land on the ground so casually like the prankster he is... as you just sigh and get the thing he requested with ease while the fae chuckles in the background. - He loves surprises, so don't question it if he suddenly floats up and kisses you out of nowhere when you expect it the least. That look of pure shock on your face is just priceless for him, peace and quiet is not an option if you're Lilia's partner no matter how tall you're. He definitely lives long enough to seen and talk to people that are as tall or even taller than you, so he knows how to handle it perfectly or even startle them back. - He also loves messing around, so he'll just appears out of nowhere, his body upside down as you got so startled you nearly froze when your eyes meet each other, and he laughs, like a lot. He just loves it when he can throw you off with such remarks and randomness, just because you're a head taller doesn't mean he can't scare you~ - You can try and surprise him back, maybe when he was being a bit too absorbed into chatting with you about something and you lean in, face inches away from his as both of you just stare at each other for a good second before you lean away and ask him to continue. Believe it or not, Lilia was thrilled at that attempt he ended up laughing like an idiot for a good minute, oh silly you, do that again next time! He'll only end up fascinated by you even more if you act like that, so surprising yet so exciting~

- He's very conscious of his height and could easily get angry or irritated at the slight mention of it, so I think he would feel even more conscious if his partner is a head taller than him. He always wanted to be the cool, reliable type of boyfriend in his partner's eyes, but to think now they're the taller one, a head taller even... He is not bothered at all. Not at all! - But that doesn't stop him from wanting his partner to depend on him too, considering he's still an honor student and a housewarden, he'll try to look past the height difference between you two and act like a reliable boyfriend and offer to help you out whether with your study or other things. He knows having a tall height has an advantage like be able to reach for high shelves easily, and whenever you do so, he just tries to not get flustered over it and thanks you properly... Don't worry, he's just being a bit shy~ - He hopes that his partner, being insanely tall, doesn't make fun of his height or mention it too often. - He's probably the one that's the most unbothered in this list since he doesn't care for things like height or appearance in general, but he'll definitely be impressed at how tall his partner is and shows it outwardly, he never holds back when it comes to compliments! - Though I think he'll love having a tall partner too as he can ask them to help him reach high shelves or just be able to spot them so easily in the crowd is enough to make him happy! Just imagine a cheery and bright Kalim running towards you from miles away while waving at you with the way your head pops up in a crowd, that would definitely bring a smile to your face for sure!! - He also isn't too conscious of his height or think too much about it, he is pretty carefree overall so it won't be at the top of his head! However, due to your height difference it would be a bit troublesome when he wants to kiss you but he can't... so he came up with a solution to jump up for that! And don't underestimate him, he's good at jumping despite his short height! (As he bounces up the air and you just so happen to lean down, both of your heads collide... Jamil questioned why both of you got a bump with a worrying look but neither of you explained it truthfully which only raised his suspicion even further... Don't tell him okay?) - Piggyback ride? Piggyback ride! Because of your insanely tall height, you definitely can lift him up and he is excited to say the least! He loves being carried around! So whenever he can wrap his arms around you as you carry him and run around the campus, he'll have a really big, happy grin on his face. Either that or you two do a jump challenge of whoever can reach that tree branch better (even though you know it's a surefire win for you) and the winner gets a free coconut juice! Kalim definitely tried his best to win every time despite his short height, and even when he lost he never appeared sad and the total opposite instead, he just has so much fun being around someone cool like you! - He also loves carrying others too, and he would also do the same to you despite your insane height. Similar to Epel, although you keep telling him it's fine but how can you say no after he give you that cute grin full of sunshine... so you just so happen to say yes, and as enthusiastic as he is, he quickly swoops you up off the ground, see, he definitely can carry you with ease! ...And it doesn't last for long as you both fall over to the ground. He felt bad for dropping you like that and quickly apologize before giving you a big grin and a cheek kiss as an apology gift, so cheeky and adorable of him~

Mary's last name means "Wonder" in French. This could be a pun for the word "Wonderland" and also connected to Twisted Wonderland.

Mary's first name is a reference to Mary-Ann - a character in the Slave Labor Graphics Wonderland series who helps the White Rabbit escape from the Queen of Hearts's execution. She is known for being White Rabbit's maid and is obsessed with cleanliness, in the comic, she said that "all she really wants is to be [herself]".

She loves all genres of music and can easily like a song if it catches her attention. She also loves classical music, it's one of the reasons why she occasionally drops by Mostro Lounge.

She always carries the Ghost Camera with her in case she needs to use it, because of this she grows to like taking photos of other people or scenery.

Her favorite color is red, and her favorite shape is 4-petal flower. She considers the shape as her lucky charm and is shown to have accessories in the said shape.

She likes to spoil Grim a lot despite his attitude, as she always dreamed of owning a cat pet back when she was in her homeland as her family didn't allow her house to have pets. However, if Grim goes too far with his actions then she'll be there to quickly stop him.

She might appear like that but once she gets very serious or angry then she can look decently scary enough to other people (especially Grim).

Before Book 5, she kept her appearance very simple and did not dress up much as she often appeared meek or a bit brooding due to the pressure of being in another world with no hesitation (as seen in the reference sheet). Turns out, she loves cute and girly things a lot and would like to make herself look cuter, but due to confidence issues she had in the past to the present it gives her a hard time until after Book 4's timeline when she decides to change her appearance completely, making her appears more girly and truer to herself more.

She has a talent for music, specifically musical memory as she can remember a song or a melody quickly and retain that for a long time in her head. She also likes singing or dancing in her free time and would often dance with Grim and the ghosts in her dorm.

According to Mary, her family consists of her parents and 2 older siblings and she lives with them, although her brother and father go out to work often and don't stay at home much and her sister is focusing on her schoolwork at the current moment, it's mostly just her and her mom at home half the time.

She doesn't have great stamina, as she often got left behind during her PE class back in her homeland's school, it's also one of the reasons why she got insecure about herself overall and chose to not be overly bright in anything she did.

She cherishes her friends a lot despite their weird antics at times, she thinks that's what them special and unique from other people. (Namely, Grim, Ace and Deuce)

Because she went to beaches with her family a lot back then, she has a good surfing skill and can also be good at playing beach volleyball, though she often gets tired easily and has to sit back to watch her siblings play the rest of the match.

She specifically dislikes dirty rooms or things that are dusty and often cleans her stuff and makes sure they stay tidy; this is mostly a reference to the Mary-Ann character; however Mary is not obsessed with cleanliness too much and can still have patience and calmness when facing dusty stuff.

She also likes cleaning and doing chores as she often helps out her parents with it back at home despite her short stamina. All the dorm's chores are done by her with the help of Grim (sometimes he does help too) and the ghosts.

Living under the sea can be both exciting and also scary at the same time, especially when you're not a carnivorous, big animal with sharp teeth or a giant body. You could easily be eaten or won't be big enough to survive, it was the same for Alisa. A tiny, feeble angelfish, that's all she was. Got drifted away from her family at a rather young age (at least, for a sea creature), and she learns what it's like to survive for yourself and yourself only in a harsh, but memorable way. She admires the land above the sea, she wants to feel the warm sunlight, and the bright and white clouds that she only heard in the tales under the sea. She only has one wish - and that is to become a human. A creature with limbs that can grab, touch and feel things easily. She isn't even a merfolk, which makes her wish, her desire grow stronger every day. Even fishes have sentience too you know!

She doesn't remember what happened or how she became a human, but she does remember her body above the water's surface, drifting near the shore as she opened her eyes and looked around at the unfamiliar world around her. Her life changed completely right at that exact moment as she realized she had gained a human body. Her wish finally came true, after oh so many years of longing and waiting.

𓇼 Trivia 𓇼

She is based on pink fluorescent Pterophyllum (Angelfish), she has a human form like other Octavinelle characters, even though she didn't her a merfolk form at first until after she had a human body that she gained one.

Her hair is styled like 2 long fins of an angelfish's body, although she doesn't seem to mind it, she did wish her hair to grow even at some times, which indicates that her hairstyle is natural.

Her merfolk form has fluorescent gills and tail that can glow under the sunlight, with clear, translucent fins and her eyes also turn into a more ruby-pinkish color. She rarely turns into her merfolk form because she is rather insecure about it.

She has an excellent photographic memory and can remember the exact details of a photo that caught her attention, she is also very good at remembering people's faces, Due to this, Azul made her one of his assistants and made her work on things that related to memories or when searching for his clients.

As her backstory stated, her real homeland wasn't Queendom of Roses like in her profile but it was the Coral Sea.

While one of her pet peeves is saving money, she is actually good at it, although it brings her frustration every time she does so.

Everywhere she goes she always puts on makeup including her school look to her PE uniform. It's also the same with manicures, she likes styling herself a lot in general and isn't afraid to show off her charm confidently.

Often stays at NRC for winter holidays and rarely goes back to her home, she prefers to stay at the dorm more as she doesn't seem to have a good relationship with her family, it seems that it's the same case with Alice - her older sister.

Coming from a family that specializes in selling potions or witchcraft tools, she has a good understanding of making potions especially alchemy, it's also her best subject.

Although she can appear cruel, that's not actually the case most of the time as stated in her profile. She is pretty friendly towards most people and is not afraid to start a conversation with others whether they're strangers or not.

She always wears a white ribbon with her name on the fabric everywhere she goes, even in selfies or photos she doesn't seem to take it off most of the time. To her, it's a "special gift to remind her of a special memory" and she seems to treasure it a lot.

She often uses modern slang in her sentence and doesn't seem to get embarrassed about it, she said that it's not because it's trendy that she does so but rather she is just fond of it and found it funny.

Despite being a freshman, she has her own henchman and often makes him work for her but it's mostly just carrying heavy things or buying stuff for her. She treats him like a good friend and often puts him in photos with her.

One thing she despises the most is photobombing, especially her selfies. She has her own "ritual" before taking a photo, from planning the angle, lighting, etc. and will get moody if her "ritual" gets interrupted or goes wrong.
