my heart way too big honestly 

someone very ignorant said that israel “stole” cultures from other nations. by saying this they completely erase jewish history over the last thousands of years and ignore jewish diaspora. a history lesson would benefit someone like this, it would show that jews come from syria, morocco, egypt, ethiopia, spain, france, and all throughout asia (including iraq and iran) and many customs/cultural practices are native to these people who after being persecuted time after time, have finally found a place to be themselves. so no, they didn’t steal anything. this is who we are and to ignore it is an expression of antisemitism.

listened to the new york philharmonic play 2nite and watched beautiful fireworks. it’s been a good day
