Rewatching and realized that during Sign of the Times, we all hear her singing the lyrics and contextualize it with the knowledge that Grace is sent to space. Just stop your crying, have the time of your life; we can meet again somewhere, somewhere far away from here. But while I'm sure Eva knows in the back of her mind that Grace could be sent to space, it's a far off enough possibility that she wouldn't be thinking about it. If we really want to hear it as *her* in that moment, I think she was thinking more about her being sent to prison for the rest of her life after launch and Grace going on without her. Remember everything will be alright. We can meet again somewhere. Somewhere far away from here.

You think after Stratt watched the tapes she showed them to Carl? Like maybe the guilt of what they'd done to Grace made them unable to work together or even look at each other over the years. And this was the first time she contacted him in who knows how long bc he'd want to know. not just that the world was safe but that Grace was too. Do you think she years older and haunted, knew he was too and gave him that closure? Do you think he's just so relieved that Grace is out there somewhere alive with an alien best friend who loves him dearly living it up?
