queen’s Old Family Inherited Magic™ is tied to the birthmark on her hand, in the same way as akai’s is tied to his eyes: she can dissolve the effects of most spellcast magic. she can’t do much against powers like rose’s or akai’s, but spells in the vein of king’s ice magic or silver heart’s illusions are worthless against her. (that’s how she woke rose up, basically, just tripped right into the barrier holding her captive and Shattered it)

yeah actually more on that spell: the true love’s kiss spell is really good for holding someone captive if and only if you know what you’re doing well enough to cancel out the side effect that basically pulls the True Love towards the source of the spell with, like, fate magic or something. it’s like a self-canceling spell just because it’s ridiculously powerful otherwise. keeping someone asleep regardless of their own ability for an indefinite period of time? you need a check on that. clover was able to contain it with a barrier to hide the signature, but queen broke that when she found rose, allowing the spell to guide her into waking her up.

so remember how i was saying clover controls the police? yeah. oniyama’s a high-ranking member of the royal guard, and he and his two right-hand subordinates keep the peace (and, you know, prevent the coup d’etats that threaten Clover Cyan’s power)

president d is a nobleman from a landed estate. he enjoys food and the occasional visits from his cousin, who his parents adopted for a year before he ran away to pursue scholarly interests under the strange old man in the forest. d also holds an interest in magic, but more for the sake of power than king’s pure interest in learning.

Rose wakes up from an enchanted sleep to find that she has no idea where she is and her kingdom is in ruins. Her parents have been mysteriously killed, she has been declared missing, and while her brother is intended to be ruling, he is being controlled by a noble (Clover).

She’s informed of all this by Silver Heart, a huntsman, and his granddaughter Queen, who rescued her and managed to wake her up (through true love’s kiss? who knows). Now she and her new friend have to adventure to save the kingdom and restore Rose to her rightful place. 

Queen can fight with a sword, so she’s the stereotypical knight to Rose’s princess, but at the end someone in Rose’s court calls her out as the long-lost heir to the Emerald Kingdom. When the kingdom fell, Silver Heart rescued her and whisked her away to live in hiding.

Roko is, obviously, the plucky animal friend.

well. sHADOW IS A RELATABLE PRICK, ROSE IS STILL ADORABLE, QUEEN IS SCARY (like always,) ROKO IS NOW HUMAN??, SPADE AND JOKER ARE BASICALLY LIVING TOGETHER SO I CONSIDER THEM MARRIED. there.

i mean. you got the first three correct 

roko is actually not a human!! since he’s switched with canon doubt he stole her human-animal transformation ability. he does have a dog form. doubt, on the other hand, no longer has a human form.
